I never normally write reviews but had to for Insi Club. The team worked tirelessly to entertain our children morning, noon and night, all with a smile. Our children wanted to go back to Insi Club every day and it really made our holiday. I would highly recommend Insi Club, your kids will love it!!
We had wonderful time, very friendly staff, good food and clean room. The mini disco and the evening show was the highlight for the kids. We as a family we had such a fabulous time. I will recommend it to families with young kids.
Will try and give this as much of an honest review: Pros Big hotel with lots of pools. Drinks- as part of the all inclusive there's a wide variety of branded alcoholic drinks, not just the local stuff. Michael Jackson tribute entertainment was a really nice evening. Angie who was a waitress was lovely. Cons: Spa - charged 30 euros even just to use the indoor pool. Tennis - 120 euros deposit. I know you get this back but just seems a bit ridiculous. Food - major issues most nights where the food was undercooked. I've seen others say the same thing on their comments and can confirm this is true. I'd be very careful especially with children. I've seen the hotels response on this issue which is "we cater for 2000 plus people and they have not had issues" however my family and I had to complain numerous times about the raw grilled food. Also undercooked sausages in the morning (which I've seen others comment on too)! I noticed all the fresh juices in the morning seem to have sugar added to them. Even the lemon water in the "healthy section" has added sugar which is a shame. Generally fairly unfriendly staff, we had one or two nice people but there wasn't really any excitement in this hotel from the other staff. Had a strange issue where a maintenance guy tried to come into my room without knocking whilst I was in the shower. I complained to guest relations and they checked our room notes (no maintenance person was scheduled). I was told he must have tried the wrong room, it was quite a strange incident. Definitely lock the doors with the chain! Slipping hazard - the floors on the way to breakfast were always cleaned near to breakfast time. Be careful! …
Wanted to leave a honest review! We have recently returned from this hotel we stayed 19th-30th October. Would definitely think twice if you are thinking of booking this hotel especially in October (end of season) We tried to make the most of our holiday but this hotel definitely shouldn’t be a 4⭐️ Facilities & food really let it down. Only one a la carte open was the American diner,we tried to book as soon as we arrived the first few days were fully booked, we got a space on the Monday & Friday. The hotel cancelled our booking for the Friday as it was closing on the Wednesday not sure why as the hotel was still busy. However this was the best meal we had in the whole 11 days. South bar was open at night for our first few nights to get a drink with a singer that was nice then it closed down. The bar man there was lovely Juan Carlos. The main bar with the entertainment was fine but had to get there by 8pm to get a seat for the 9pm show. The entertainment was quite good but this stopped at 10pm after 10pm the staff started clearing up and if you wanted to carry on having drinks the bar the staff were not impressed and literally mopping up around you and shutting all the doors not relaxing at all. Sports bar Open at night it was ok in there but the most miserable young bloke behind the bar, never once saw him smile. Pool snack bar near the water slides Awful food uncovered with flys on Rolls ham or chocolate spread and a bit of fruit. Buffet restaurant Is nothing like it shows on tui pictures, it’s like a cattle barn ended up in here 3 times a day and by the end of it you have just had enough, I’m not a fussy eater but did really struggle finding things to eat. Best things I ate were the omelettes for breakfast. Ice creams there are a few freezers around the complex but if you don’t get one at 10.30am you won’t get one they wasn’t re stocked. Indoor pool and spa I completely understand there is usually a charge for the spa however every other 4 star hotel I’ve been to you can use the indoor pool, just have to pay extra for sauna, jacuzzi, treatments etc not here €29 per person to even use the indoor pool. Tennis 🎾 A deposit of €120 to play a hours tennis?! Played it a few times but such a faff to keep going to reception to pay then claim it back and we were worried Incase we lost a ball, didn’t make it fun. Pools Nice selection of pools, used the adults only section most as both our children are over 16 this was nice and relaxing but as we didn’t have a adults only booking couldn’t use the food truck and there was a €20 charge per day if you wanted to use the Bali beds, there was about 10 of them and nobody on them. Apartment We stayed in a one bedroom apartment on the top floor, not good if you have mobility problems as you could never get a lift, we felt sorry for people with pushchairs. I’m fairly fit but by the end was fed up with all the stairs. Room was spacious a little dated but not a problem. Last day…..our flight was at 1.50am so with the airport being about a hour away we had a message saying our pick up would be 22.25 with a following message saying revised plans we would now be picked up at 17.30 over 8 hours before our flight no explanation I went and found a tui rep who said the hotel was closing at 18.00 and everyone needed to be out! Made it sound like she was doing us a favour that we can drop our suitcases off and look round Palma. We have been to Palma didn’t want to spend hours there but had no choice. Had a horrible last day just waiting around restaurant closed at 2.30pm and asking at the bar staff for a drink felt so awkward as they were cleaning and taking all the lights down. It’s such a shame about the hotel as it’s in a beautiful area surrounding it the 3 beaches close by are beautiful and the weather was perfect and not a drop of rain. We have stayed in a different Insotel 3 years ago and we couldn’t fault that at all, never left a bad review before.…
Arrived at hotel and were told that the block we were booked into with 2 bedroom apartment was closed. We are an elderly couple our daughter and two small grandchildren who need constant supervision. We were given an upgrade !! Two rooms next to each other without an adjoining door that we could keep open to assist with supervision of kids. This was not what we payed for and made our holiday arrangements near impossible. We were very disappointed that TUI and Cala Mandia could not get together and at least inform us pre arrival of this problem. Disappointing as it was we found the hotel clean and tidy , rooms were well kept and clean. The staff were all pleasant and had time for the children, the choice of food was good and mostly well cooked, plenty of variety and if you could always find something to fill your plate. One more thumbs up for the staff , Thankyou all. …
We arrived for a short 3 night all-inclusive break and had opted for their 'swim-up' room at a fairly high cost. Reception was efficient and we were on our way to the room quickly. Our room was about as far from reception as you could be but that i thought might suit us as less noise. Initial thoughts on the room were ok,decent size and eveything you might need.Further inspection and i was less happy, large amounts of previous occupents hair on the tiled floors, ants in places, although we had a fridge it was empty which i've never come across in an all-inclusive. Outside space was disappointing - complete lack of privacy.Swim-up pool was nice but small. Breakfast was the best food-wise,loads of choice - couldn't complain, however the drinks were a disgrace.Fruit juices coming out of machines were cordial, the fresh option is from a guy who shreds an orange for you and you get next to zero juice. Coffee from the machines was without doubt the worst i've tasted in 40 years. Lunch and dinner meals were again good choice but with poor quality ingredients, wine was ok. Day 1 we visited the pool which was then closed shortly after for 2 hours when a UFO was spotted in it. Day 2 we visited the splash park and my wife was knocked to the floor bruised and bleeding slightly due to a careless lifeguard on the slides. The hotel is mosquito central- with no apparent attempts to stop them.In a 3 night stay i came away with around 20 bites so come equipped ! Without doubt the worst part of the stay was discovered around 3am every night when the odours from the drains come full blast into the bathroom and spreads into the whole apartment.....if we'd been here for a week we'd have complained and moved but we just swallowed it (literally)......if you end up in a room like that -top tip.....leave the light in the bathroom on all night to keep the extractor going, still smelly but not half as bad. The bar by the pool was one of the few positives from the trip - here you could get a real coffee and premium drinks. The fabulous weather at the end of october made what could have been a highly disappointing stay into an enjoyable one. This hotel is only 4 star by facilities - everything else is 3 star so be prepared.…
Oh where do I start. No doubt whatever I say the hotel will try and come back with something to make me sound 'wrong' but honestly spend your money elsewhere. The first issue was our room. We arrived to a floor covered in someone else's hair. They don't hoover, only mop which isn't enough. The whole room stunk of damp and my son had severe breathing issues whenever he was in the room. His breathing/coughing at night was horrendous and I've never heard him like that - ever! He was fine the day before we got there and fine as soon as we left. We also had to leave the bathroom light on all night as if we didn't we woke up to an even worse stink - think rotten cabbages. I had a serious accident in the waterpark. The five main slides are watched by a lifeguard who gives you a thumbs up to go down. I went down and as I was getting off the slide I was hit at great force by a tall man who (not his fault) caused injury to my leg and arm. They were very apologetic but it's taken a fair few days for me to be able to walk well again without pain. The day before the main pool had to be evacuated for two hours due to something large and suspicious being taken out of it. The food choice was varied but quite similar each evening. Breakfast was very good but the choice of juice was really poor. They couldn't even produce a decent orange juice. The evening queuing at the main restaurant was just a joke. They opened at 6:30pm but spent 10 mins filling their not so nice area first so anyone wanting to sit in the nicer open restaurant had to stand in a very busy line for yet another 10 mins. They need time slots - it was bedlam. They also have a problem with a cat trying to take your dinner and the mosquitoes were really bad there. It was all-inclusive so you helped yourselves to soft drinks - on more than a few occasions we had to abandon our drinks as they tasted awful. The 'corridors' were also filthy. We saw an empty coke bottle in one of their graveled areas every day we were there. They seemed to leave all lost items abandoned rather than taking them to lost property. You wouldn't want to walk around with bare feet. Only bonus was the swim-up aspect of our room and the breakfast!…
Nice location, plenty of pools and water slides, close to beach. Food was better when resort manager was there, otherwise quite basic, rooms need updated and the worst bit flies and mosquitoes. Good holiday overall, due to beautiful weather but I still prefer Insotel Punta Prima Resort( we been 6 times) due to no cons there.
Okay, so I feel that it’s important to firstly point out that TUI advertise this as being TUI rated 5* which I feel is unfair and invites negative reviews, I wouldn’t have rated it 5* but the official rating is 4* which is more of an accurate reflection. I read the reviews before leaving and was really worried but I needn’t have been. We had a fabulous holiday, we are a family of 5, 2 adults and 3 children ages; 6 months, 7 years and 11 years. I hate this part because we loved it here but want to write an honest review so I am going to start with negatives; - some rooms need a little updating, our bathroom door handle fell off so I was locked in there until my husband came and let me out. This was repaired when reported though. - I feel a kettle should be standard in the rooms with a small welcome basket and some cups. I requested ours because I needed to be able to make bottles for our baby. - it would be better if the mini disco was in more of a suitable location on a stage or similar and lasted a little longer. - my husband did get eaten alive by mosquitoes but this is not the fault of the hotel at all. Okay so now for the best parts: - all of the staff were absolutely amazing, friendly and super helpful. They work such long hours and always have smiles. A special mention to Habibi who was fabulous, always so happy and my children adored him especially my 6 month old who was always delighted to see him at dinner time. - food was really good, extremely varied and there was always something for my super fussy children. Restaurant was always clean. Plenty of snacks all day between meals and ice cream available all day. Lots of drinks available. The adults cocktails were lovely as were the childrens ones. - room cleaned every day which was a bonus. - all pool areas, we enjoyed the main pool by the restaurant the most but we did visit the slides and splash pools too which were also fun for the children. Pools were very very cold but it is October so this is expected. Inflatables were allowed most of the time except when the pool was very busy. We were always able to get a sun bed but we did travel off peak. - beach was a 5 minute walk and was beautiful, the sunbeds there are not owned by the hotel so you do have to pay but it was worth it. - easy transport links to get to Porto cristo as there is a bus stop outside the hotel. We also got a taxi one of the times with was around 9€ - entertainment was good but we often didn’t see the later entertainment due to having the baby with us. - the fifties American diner was great! Really worth a visit but book as soon as you arrive because spaces fill up extremely quickly. - shops outside the hotel for convenience, we bought water etc and the staff were very helpful If I could recommend one thing to the hotel it would be to have an indoor heated pool for under 5s as the water was a little too cold for babies and toddlers and under 4s are not allowed to use the heated pool in the spa area. We would definitely return. Thanks for a great first holiday after covid and as a family of 5!…
We (46year old, 72 year old, 14 year old and 11 year old) had the best time at Insotel Cala Mandia. We stayed in a swim up room and absolutely loved it. The pools are clean and inviting, the premisses are beautiful with lots of flowers and palm trees surrounding the buildings. Breakfast and lunch was very good, The Japanese and Mallorcan bufeet did not impress us. However, we all did find something we liked. All inclusive gets a bit repetitive, but that is part of the game. The staff at this hotel were all amazing. The receptionist managed to give us a new room when we had a bit of complaints. We would probably go back to this hotel, however, we always try to travel to new places.
