I was really blown away by this hotel. The atmosphere is lovely, warm and cosy in this wintery weather in Mallorca; caring, friendly and considerate staff who treat you like family; excellent breakfasts; cute bar and good food in the restaurant with a nice wine selection;?and the sea view apartment was perfect - clean, comfortable, spacious, well maintained and good housekeeping, and a balcony to welcome the morning sun. There were lovely touches all over the place; umbrellas for the rain; a well stocked book shelf with games and puzzles; a great looking pool; daily newspapers - we felt at home! Thanks to all the staff for the nice welcome and particularly Susana for being so thoughtful. We’ll be back - when the sun shines :)
The food here was great. We came mate in season so it was quiet and only manned by one chap so he was rushed off his feet but still attentive and at no point did we feel we was waiting long. Food was really great and honestly the bill came to far less than expected with three courses, extras and drinks.
A modern, clean and well maintained apartment hotel. Like many of the larger hotels, Orange Colom is 25-30 minutes walk from the main eating area of the village. There are plenty of cheap eat options nearby but if you want better quality you'll need to make the effort to take a pleasant stroll to the small central restaurant area in the main part of the village. At the hotel there's a well maintained pool and a pleasant bar, where a good quality buffet breakfast is served. Good wi-fi and the beds are comfortable.
I spent 10 amazing nights with my family at Orange Colom. Great hotel, great facilities and excellent hospitality. It exceeded our expectations. Thanks to Oliver (Hotel Director), Susane, Cristine, Jesus and everyone at Orange Colom. We will definitely come back to visit.
After reading the menu and having a look inside during the day, we decided to have our evening meal there. We ordered olives with bread and garlic aioli to start. We had to wait quite some time for this but didn't mind as we were enjoying the ambiance and lovely view. But within a minute of having the starter served, the main meal came out. I was slightly miffed about this and mentioned the fact to the waiter. He explained that it was typical in Majorca to have it served as a starter? The main meals were very uninspiring, one being the Orange Colom burger, which my husband had almost finished before getting the ketchup he'd asked for, and I had a few sticks of overcooked dried chicken served on a piece of slate with a token bit of shredded lettuce and and a cherry tomato. Overall, it was a very unpleasant experience, not helped by the poor service we received!!!…
