Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travellers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.
Warm welcome and a nice friendly feel to the hotel , the other guests were very friendly. Parking outside the hotel was good, The pool was compact but big enough for the amount of guests in the hotel and there were enough poolside beds. Continental breakfast served on the patio which is I’m really nice touch . Location is perfect for the beach Town and the Marina Just one gripe the bed in room 2 in the hostel side of the hotel was far too hard. I prefer a firm bed but it was like sleeping on the floor on a yoga mat. I know it’s difficult and you have to consider everyone’s preferences. Other than that we had a good stay ….. thank you

I stayed at La Ceiba for a week at the beginning of September. It was a last minute decision to get some sunshine, after looking out at the grey clouds of England nearly all summer! I'll write my review with pros and cons so as to keep it short, but to the point.
Pros: In a very quiet street, no more than five minutes from the restaurants and shops. Very nice, helpful staff, especially the owner Nati, who is lovely. Very clean. No loud music round the pool. Homely. Bed not too hard - unusual in Europe. Area round pool never crowded. The most I saw was five at any one time. Very near the Marina. Near two beaches; one three minutes away, and the other about twelve. Nice powerful showers. Water always hot.
Cons The towels! So hard I couldn't dry myself with them, and ended up using my beach towel! The beach that is three minutes away has about 30 steps to go down, so no good for people with poor mobility. Food. They will cook you either a pork or fish meal if you order it the day before. I had fish the first time, which was lovely. However, the jacket potato (only thing they will do) was VERY hard. Despite telling the cook, it happened again the second time I ate there, and I didn't eat there again. No balconies or terraces. Bottles of water very expensive (2 euros for 1.5 ltre), and supermarket too far away, unless you're strong or have a strong partner! The height of the hangers in the wardrobe - I could just about reach them, so if you're under 5'2", you'll have a problem...... Be aware you only usually get six hangers, but they will give you more if you ask.
All things considered, I really enjoyed my stay here. I went for some sun, and that's what I got. I don't really rate Cala D'or however, so probably wouldn't go back. I only saw the beach that was twelve minutes away, and it was really, really small. The nearer beach is even smaller apparently. Small beaches packed with people - not my scene. But it may be yours..... :o)

I am byassed because I used to live next door as a child, but was very pleasantly surprised by the kindness and warmth of the atmosphere. Big room, simple but clean, anything you need the landlady lives in the house, and the barman Pepe will make your evenig wonderful, the locals stroll in and drink with you, and you are living in the gem of Cala d' Or: Cala Llonga...

La Ceiba is a typical Spanish Hostal, with basic decor, friendly staff and a perfect location. Very close to Marina, Beach and Cala d´Or city center. Come here for a classic Hostal experience and not a luxury hotel.

the hotel is situated close to the beach, and 5 min walking to the center, where you can find many restaurants. rooms are very clean and comfortable. there is a pool next to the hotel, and also a bar. the owner of the hotel is a very kind person, and very helpfull. it;s very easy to get to the hotel. when you are going by bus from palma, you get out on the bus stop in cala d'or and it takes only few minutes walking to get to la ceiba. cala d'or is a beautiful town, i think that even one of the most beatiful places in mallorca. it's a quite place, great for relaxing. there are many charming gulfs, the sea is clear, the beaches are quite small and crowded, but you can climb over the rocks and find a peacefull place. there is a long beach with clear water between sa rapita and colonia sant jordi. it takes about 30min driving from cala d'or.

We (couple) booked a double bed room via Teletext - booking was perfect
The Hostal (name given to typical guest house in Spain) is located
45 mins drive from Mallorca Airport 2 blocks walking distance from the famous and beautiful Cala d'Or Marina 3 mins walking from the beach 5 min walking from Restaurants and Bars Has a lovely swimming pool Great Bar Spanish BBQ's and Scuba Diving are available
La Ceiba is locates in a quiet and nice area, the room was spacious and a nice bathroom, very clean also!! - cleaned every day except for sunday which is normal over there. Safety deposit box is available, rooms have no A/C or fans
Buffet breakfast was provided which was totally good, served in the nice terrace/patio eaten al fresco.
The owner (Natividad) is lovely and extremely helpful, excellent service!!!
Simply a very good accomodation if you dont fancy a hotel chain or huge resort and are on a budget
Totally recommended!

Booked a double bed room via hotels website, booking went smooth they charged a deposit which was later credited. (CC) The guest house (called Hostal in Spain) is located very close to the famous and beautiful Cala d'Or marina and is 3 minutes from the beach. Quiet and nice area with free parking in the area. The room was very spacious with huge bedroom and a nice bathroom. Very clean also, cleaned every day except for sunday which is normal over there. Buffet breakfast was provided which was totally good, served in the nice terrace/patio outside. The owner (Natividad) is very nice and extremely helpful - very good accomodation if you dont fancy a hotel chain or huge resort. Recommended !

The best is location!! 5 min to the beach , restaurants. The lady who ran the hotel is very nice and polite! Room is really basic, but i guess this is what u get for the cheap price. The is no access to the pool, and the breakfast is pretty simple-i had a felling that all products are from lidl rather then local produce, and there is no brown bread or sugar. Overally we have enjoyed our stay!

Stayed at La Ceiba for three nights as part of a cheap, budget getaway. The hostel is very clean, cleaned every day except Sunday, and the staff very friendly. The rooms are basic but it is not a hotel so can't complain.
It's in a fantastic location for exploring Cala D'or. You are just a few minutes walk from the beach, marina and the centre. The tourist train that takes you further afield is just up the road as well.
Breakfast is basic to say the least. But the main reason I can't give this place five stars is the lack of pool. We booked La Ceiba because it had a pool on all the pictures we'd seen. We were looking forward to just chilling out around it in the sun.
I discovered that they no longer have access after it had been booked and payed for. We made the most and the terrace on the first floor was a bonus we weren't expecting. I do feel however that the pool pictures should be taken down from booking sites as it is misleading.

This is in a fantastic location, it's only 5 min walk to the beach and 10 min walk to the centre of resort. The rooms are basic but extremely clean and quite large. However there is no air conditioning but I believe fans are available. The owner is so friendly and it is a home from home.
