Alua Suites Las Rocas is appreciated for its prime location, close to beaches, shops, and dining, which guests find convenient. The staff's friendliness and helpfulness often receive commendations, although there are calls for better consistency. While the hotel is generally recognized for its cleanliness and daily maintenance, some guests have encountered issues with room upkeep, including varying levels of cleanliness and the occasional odor. The value proposition is a point of contention due to unexpected costs. Amenities like pools are popular, despite some operational shortcomings.

Me and my friend visited Alua Suites for a 4 night stay, we booked half board too. Upon arrival we were very pleased with the appearance of the hotel and the reception area however it went slightly downhill. The reception staff didn’t provide much information, we paid €26 tax which we didn’t know much about, we also paid €2 for a plastic cup token. There is a drinks procedure for round the pool regarding plastic cups we were unsure what to do with our tokens or our cups as reception didn’t give much away. Next our room was across the road from the hotel which did have a seperate pool/ bar area that was lovely and quiet. Our room appeared great upon arrival however there had been very basic cleaning completed as surfaces and the bathroom especially looked very dirty. There was lots of bugs and an overpowering sewage smell throughout the entire room for the whole duration of our stay. The water from the showers and taps is also salt water which can be unpleasant after a long day in the sun. Cleaners come regularly, sometimes at awkward times, one morning we were awoken by the cleaner entering our room despite us not answering the door and having the do not disturb sign hung. She looked at us asleep and laughed/ran off when we responded to her saying hello. The pool area had stunning views and there were regular pool games you could join in with if you wished, as well as a pool bar which does take CARD ONLY for those not all inclusive. The restaurant area was not great at all the food was cold and had flies landing on it for each time we came back. There was very limited choice and none of it looked appealing to eat, in addition the crockery and cutlery was dirty covered in leftover food and a grease layer. We ended up avoiding the hotel and paid more than intended having meals in resturaunts around the resort. Overall the hotel is very lovely to look at and does appear stunning however it is extremely basic/ potentially overrated and can do with some upgrades to make it a better experience overall for paying customers.

I had a 5 days break at this hotel. The location is quiet.
The room/appartment I had was VERY nice, great view on the pool and sea, separated bedroom, bathroom is also good and for once, the water was not running outside of the shower.
The pools are nice but are not heated and were freezing! Almost no one using them begining of october.
The wifi is not working well except in the room.
There is an adult pool and if you stay on the grass sunbeds, then you get no wifi and no mobile data. You can get more signal by the pool. Regularly, internet was not working during few minutes during my stay.
The bar drinks are good but not amazing. Mojito not included and strangely, a virgin mojito is 4.5 and a classic mojito is 5.5 knowing that they are just adding the rum that is anyway included in All Inclusive. It was good.
Restaurant.... ohhh restaurant.... The glasses were awfully dirty ! Even lipstick !!!
The restaurant staff is not very professional. As I was alone, when I get up to pick something to drink, 3 times I had no more stuff on the table (glass ( that I first cleaned) of wine which was not empty removed and so for the cutlery. Even after just a soup!
I felt like there was a lot of potatoes and pasta. While waiting for pancakes on breakfast, the cook finished cooking by sprinkling the pancakes with oil, waow, what is that! You may put some oil at the beginning to prevent from sticking but this is it.
And surprise when arriving, but you need to pick at what time you are going to have breakfast/lunch/dinner. Hopefully the hotel was far from being crowded so no one verified this. I warned the frontdesk about the cleanliness of the glasses so I hope they did something.
There is no elevator, in case of disabilities, notify the hotel first. And good luck with your luggage.
Because of the price, the quality of the room (although I had to turn the mattress as it was dug), the outdoor, I rate this as 4 on 5.

Did get a little worried when I saw some reviews recently but can’t fault this hotel! I requested a ground floor room for the baby as I read there was no lifts which we got and the room was spectacular - (we were ground floor block A) lots of facilities to manage bottle prep and changing the baby
Big lounge area and bedroom with travel cot which was clean
Rooms and bathrooms very modern
View at the pool area and out of our room at the sea was incredible

Food at all inclusive was great something different every day
And had a large variety of drinks on offer

Also want to give a special mention to the entertainment team who start very early in the day til late at night they work very hard coming up with activities and dances etc but are also very respectful of your holiday and time to relax so were never pushy if you didn’t want to partake in that activity which I have had at other hotels

The nighttime entertainment aswell was very good! Again different every day and actually worth a watch! I really enjoyed the supremes tribute and soul singer

They also have an app where you can request housekeeping or fresh towels etc etc which I thought was really handy!

Would definitely stay here again they also put a happy birthday sign with sparkling wine in my dads room which I thought was a lovely gesture!

Ps there is a little land train that takes you into cala D’or for 5 euros return the stop is literally outside the hotel

We stayed in August 2024 as a family of five for one week and booked a package with Jet2. We were located in room A202. Our stay was based on all inclusive. There was a range of positives and negatives with our stay.
Positives: The food was excellent with a wide choice and generally good quality. There was no queues for the restaurant and always food available. The red wine was great. The entertainment staff were great and worked really hard. The location is peaceful with a lovely sea view. The sea breeze keeps you cool also.
Negatives: The room cleaning was terrible and we were left with no towels on two occasions. The air con in the rooms is rubbish and hardly works. The rooms do suffer with damp and you can smell it. This is because the bathrooms have no extract system. There was always people at reception moaning and complaining about some kind of issue. There are no sunbeds by the main pool after 10am due to selfish people putting towels on them. The main pool needs a good clean also. There is only one bar area and this is located at the main pool. It gets too busy and the staff cannot manage.
This holiday cost me ÂŁ6,100.00, for that reason alone i expected a lot more. The hotel failed to meet my expectations, i would not return.

Great hotel
Pros:
-Perfect location, view of the Mediterranean Sea and a wonderful breeze from the sea.
-Animation team, led by Alberto, is not pushy and interacts nicely with the guests. Unfortunately we could not see the animation team's performance. Ricky in particular was a much-loved animator by everyone. A greeting, chat and a laugh for everyone.
-The acts hired for the evening could all really sing. High-quality artists.
-Hygiene around food is perfect.
-Alternating menus. Friendly staff, both at reception and in the catering industry.
Negatives:
-Hygiene around swimming pool,
-No elevator,
- I personally would not put glasses on the table, because they are not cleared away when the table is newly laid.

I stayed here with my husband and 17 year old son and we have stayed all inclusive, we have had an excellent experience. The staff are all friendly, the entertainments team work very hard and do a fantastic job. The poolside is kept immaculate and this is mainly down to the cups policy. When you arrive you give a deposit of 1 euro, for which you are given a token, at the bar you exchanged the token for a cup. Every time you got a drink you took your cup back were given a fresh cup for you next drink. At the end of the day you could exchange your cups for tokens (on an evening you don't need them, you are given glasses).
There are 3 pools, we never had a single issue with getting sun beds. Plenty of activities through out the day around the main pool, games to join in and even cocktail demonstrations which I really enjoyed. The main pool also has spectacular views over the ocean, it's particularly lovely to wake up to catch the sunrise on the rocks. The main bar and entertainments area are adjacent to this pool too. The adult pool is very quiet, personally we found this pool a little too quiet, but I can see how it's perfect for those who enjoy reading on a sun lounger etc, without distractions. The third pool is across the road from the main part of the hotel. Again it has a bar but it doesn't serve spirits.
The suites are excellent, small kitchenette, and dining table, sofa that pulls out to a comfortable double bed. Plenty of storage and wardrobe space for clothes, although there wasn't that many hangers. The bathrooms are small but clean, although there was no shelf for shampoo and body wash etc in the shower and that didn't seem well thought out. The main bedroom consisted of 2 single beds pushed together.

The downsides of this hotel (I must say none of these are enough to stop me coming here again)

1. The beds were too soft and towards the end of the two days this did cause me quite a lot of pain. They sank in the middle and didn't have any real support.

2. The Food is very good for those who eat meat, but I'm vegetarian and my options were incredibly hit and miss.

3. Our bedding wasn't changed during our 10 day stay. We had to ask eventually.

4. The cleaners came at very random times of day, on one occasion they turned up at 6pm, just as we were coming back from the pool and wanting to jump in the shower and relax before dinner. Another time they turned up at 9am as we were trying to get ready to go to the pool.

5. We have stayed in Cala D'or before and I prefer to be the opposite side of the marina, closer to the main bars and shops.

Over all though I can't really fault this holiday, and can only say a massive thank you to the whole Alua Suites Las Rocas team, who have massively contributed to a really wonderful holiday!

I’ve rated this as average as I know some people will have enjoyed this hotel for what it is, we did not. Unfortunately, the quality just was not there, it looks like it’s been decorated in a rush, everything in our room just crumbled. Air con worked and cooled the room down but with that brought an awful smell of damp to the room, it also leaked onto us and the floor, my husband washed things at the sink and his back was covered in the water from the air con unit. There was damp on the ceiling that grew as the week went on, looked like it had previously been painted over. The sofa was so uncomfortable to sit on, there was a crack in the bath/shower so no idea where the water was going. We have a 2 year old and I had to wipe the stains off the cot when we arrived. The pool and area around the pools in the hotel and across the road were not clean at all which made it uncomfortable for us to allow our little boy to play, the adult only pool seemed to be really nice but obviously we couldn’t use it with a child. The sun beds were tired and most had lost the spring in them so it just felt like I was lying on a metal bar. We were half board but after day one we ate out all day, every day, the quality was not there, nor was the etiquette.
The main pro to this hotel is the location on the see front, lovely views. The hotel reception and bar area seemed fine, cool and clean. I just don’t think the value for money is there with this hotel, had we paid much less I think I wouldn’t have complained much, but in comparison to other really nice hotels we’ve stayed at in this area, this hotel charges much more than them and I have no idea why?!

Just returned from a lovely four night stay with 2 girlfriends for a mini break away.

The hotel is situation in a very pretty location on a cliff edge in Cala egos. The views were beautiful and the hotel in the main was clean and well maintained. We were all inclusive and found the food to be good and varied although if staying for a longer time would imagine you’d want to eat out occasionally. Cocktails were not really drinkable which was a shame but not a huge problem. There were 2 pools including one quiet pool. Spa facilities also available. The entertainment we saw was good.

We stayed in room A216 and had stunning sea/pool views and a large balcony. The room was large for three of us but the only issue was there was an awful smell which we were told was due to recent storms but felt the room was a bit fusty and damp. Our clothes had a strange smell after being in the wardrobe and the drainage was definitely a problem. The bathroom was suffering from damp conditions and there were a few rust and mildew marks etc. see pics. Bottled water is required even if boiling for a coffee etc as was not suitable from the tap.

The location is good for views. Supermarket 5 mins walk and shops and bars about 15 mins walk. Cala dor centre was €8 and 5 mins in a taxi or the road train was an alternative if you were in no rush.

The hotel had a friendly feel to it and not overwhelming as a complex. If you want a nice family break or a few nights away with friends I would recommend. There was a large group of men staying who were quite noisy etc and would say they’d have been better staying somewhere else as it is not a party party hotel.

Clean hotel, spacious room (suite) and nice staff
Pros:
- magnificent view
- excellent and varied food (except for desserts because few choices and industrial products)
- good location (close to shops, bar and restaurants ..) take the exit of the hotel located next to the basketball court, you will be there in 10 minutes walk
- quality show every night
- use of reusable plastic cups with deposit system (1 € per glass). This prevents people from leaving
hang out everywhere
- a lot of things available ( ping pong, billiards, boules court, basketball/football court, children's court/playroom)

Cons:
- unheated swimming pool
-Pay safe
- all inclusive valid only until 11pm after drinks become paid
- cocktails of the All inclusive bad (alcohol + juice chemical taste) but there are other choices
– we did not see any animations but we stayed at the end of September maybe that is why.

Council:
- Lots of things to visit, so car rental is desirable. (parking around the hotel possible)

Overall we had a pleasant stay at this hotel.
