Inturotel Esmeralda Park is a hit for its prime location near Cala d'Or's vibrant beaches and nightlife, although the buzz from nearby entertainment areas does sometimes heighten the noise level. Guests commend the hotel's modern atmosphere and clean, spacious rooms with impressive views, despite occasional calls for updates and concerns over privacy.
While the hotel's cleanliness earns high marks, with meticulous rooms and grounds, the value proposition is debated due to additional charges for certain amenities. The service and amenities, including beautiful pools and beach access, receive applause, albeit with some reports of service inconsistencies and amenities that can feel crowded.

We have really enjoyed our holiday at Esmeralda Park as a family of 4 with a 6 and 4yr old. We stayed in O block, which was nicely out of the way but still close to everything. We found the resort spotless, the staff are constantly cleaning. The maid service was daily and they did a wonderful job. The apartment had everything we needed and the beds we're comfortable! However when we arrived the sofa beds weren't made up. Also it's just a sheet on top of the sofa, which personally I don't think is enough with young children who may have accidents or get sick. There should be a waterproof protector provided. Also the rooms are quite noisy, every time someone turned a tap on we could hear the water rushing past our bedroom wall. We were also woken up multiple times by crying babies and chairs being scraped across the floor.
We are early risers so would go for breakfast around 8/8.30am. The food is pretty standard but I was happy with the amount of fresh fruit. By the time we got to the pool, there were still plenty of loungers left. The lifeguards are good at removing towels for those who try and reserve them. The pool at Esmeralda is lovely however it's cold! The sea is so much warmer. We went to nearby fererra beach, which is bigger and the water stays shallow for longer. The kids loved spotting crabs in the rocks and looking at the fish in the crystal clear water. We paid 17 euro for 2 loungers and a parasol for the day.
We ate at the beach bar one day but were not impressed with the quality of food and it was expensive. The food at the restaurant in the evening was good, lots of choice and always something to choose from. The freshly grilled meats and fish we're good.
The location of the resort is great, right on Esmeralda cove, which is stunning. The water is just like in the photos. The main town isn't far to walk. There's loads of shops, bars and restaurants on the way to keep everyone happy.
The crazy golf at Cala Azul was a big hit with the kids as was the nearby fun park, with go karts and trampolines.
Overall it was a wonderful holiday. Personally we wouldn't return as we like to try different resorts and countries but I would recommend the hotel as it had everything we needed.

The hotel is nice, with good rooms and delicious food. However, the drinks served with the food are extremely expensive. Next to the hotel, there’s a fun park that is very loud in the evenings. Unfortunately, sitting on the balcony during that time isn’t very pleasant due to the noisy neighbors.
The hotel has a 20-minute sunchair rule, which means that towels will be removed if the chair is not used within 20 minutes. While this is a fair and reasonable rule, it wasn’t consistently enforced during our entire week-long stay, and we were not able to find available sunchairs.
Despite these issues, we still had a great vacation at Esmaralda Park.

My family and I had an excellent one week stay! It has everything available you could possibly need. It is very clean and the grounds are well kept. We stayed in Block P overlooking the beach. Even though it was the furthest away from most facilites there are a lot of pathways for easy access to the pool, beach and a side street to local restaurants. The kids entertainment was great and there was plenty of variety for breakfast/dinner. There are a lot of car parks available as well as a tram that comes every hour to take you around Cala D’or.
Be wary if you hire towels from the resort, you have to pay a 15€ deposit in cash only per towel plus 1.50€ per day for hire. At the end of our trip upon returning the towels we were told we were supposed to keep the “ticket” for which we paid the deposit which ended up being 60€ for 4 towels. I did not receive a ticket nor was I told we were supposed to hand the ticket over to receive our deposit back. After some back and forth with a staff member in reception this issue was resolved by management who cross checked our bank card to match the payment for the towel hire, however would have been a nicer ending to our trip if this didn’t happen at all.
Overall we had an amazing vacation here and would happily visit again!

We have been traveling around the island, staying at various places for 4-5 nights, having a wonderful time. This is the only place we stayed I would not return to. Aside from the fact there were far, far too many people here (line ups for loungers, the pools were packed with kids, no room on the beach, people everywhere, etc.) the room left much to be desired.
We paid extra for an ocean view suite. As you can see from the pictures, the view is of a road and parking. If you stood in the corner of the balcony, where the clothesline is permanently mounted, you would see a bit of water. Hardly worth the upgrade. A scam, to be honest.
This hotel is not cheap in the off season. For the price, they shouldn’t charge you towel rental plus a daily fee, not should they charge you for a safe in your room to protect you from their staff. Ridiculous. This isn’t a hostel!
The room itself was well appointed except for three critical things: the air con didn’t work, the walls were as thin as paper and there was no freezer and just the tiniest of fridges (not ideal for self catering). The room never went below 27.5 degrees which was uncomfortable for sleeping. The first engineer who came to see it said it was broken (as he sweat up a storm checking it out). He said he would bring us a fan. Instead, two new engineers came by, stood about and talked about the Olympics to each other, didn’t check a thing, and announced the air con was perfect and left!! I read another review about this happening.
Our neighbors were a family just doing normal family things and talking in normal voices. But we heard every word they said and every move they made. For help you if you get noisy people next door.
The area around the hotel is completely without any charm. It’s just the same shops over and over and the same restaurants serving the same crap. You could be anywhere; there is so sign of the Spanish culture, just Germans and Brits. There are so many beautiful places on the island that oozes history and charm. This is not one of them.

we arrived back in england after an 11 night stay at the Interotel esmeralda park . overall we enjoyed our holiday , but we found the restaurants to be very busy , noisy and children running everywhere which could be extremely dangerous not only for holiday makers, but your staff if one of these restaurants could be made adults only it would be far nicer for the people there without children. We also found the activities were very few and far between for adults. darts and football seem to be played every day, but as far as things like Pétanque, Aqua, Table Tennis for adults, pool, it was very limited if non-existent. when we arrived. We had BBC One, ITV1,2 3&4 . after day five. All we had was BBC One, ITV3 and ITV4. We asked at reception if this could be repaired every day for the following six days, and nothing was ever done about it. We were also very surprised to find in a huge complex like yours. There was no weekend evening entertainment on Saturday or Sunday and I was very disappointed in the price. I was charged for an orange juice which was €8 which made us seek alternative entertainment on other evenings. On a plus side, the whole complex was spotlessly clean, and the staff were very friendly and helpful when asked any directions The gluten free options in the restaurant were very limited, although they were very happy to supply gluten-free chips every evening

We visited Esmerelda Park with 2 children age 20 & 16 (adults really) and booked two premium apartments. Check in was easy and they had conveniently put our rooms neighbouring. The Rooms are excellent and can't be faulted. The housekeeping team are really lovely and do an excellent job. The grounds are well kept and very clean. The main pool is a hub for families with very young children, which we avoided. We found the main area very loud and chaotic. Our first two days must have been cross over days as there was so many people and it was awful, no sunbeds, not even the paid for ones on the beach and nowhere to sit to get a drink in the pool side bars. Day three Tuesday seemed to quiet down, we got up at 8.30am and were able to secure sunbeds at the adult only pool overlooking the beach which was lovely, the pool attendant was very thorough removing any towels left on sun loungers for longer than 20mins before lunch which is more than long enough to get breakfast. The poolside bars are good, the food is nice but they are not good for gluten free options. There was no gluten free breads or options at breakfast other than fruit and yoghurt. Some attempt to label hot foods was made but as celiacs we found it not worth the risk as something labelled no gluten we were then advised did contain gluten on asking. Breakfast wasn't great if I'm honest but that was the only disappointment. We ate out every evening, and had lunch mostly on our apartment balcony which was very pleasant.
If an adult only group I would recommend the next door inturotel hotel Esmerelda not the park hotel as it is much quieter and you can then use the beach club pool which is lovely. The beach is really nice.
We would recommend visiting the nearby marina Petit, there's so many restaurants which aren't shown on google maps, and we did not have a bad meal there.

This hotel is very beautiful from the outside. It has pretty and clean gardens, white washed buildings and beautiful pools leading down to a small beach. There is an adults only pool and sun terrace (16 years plus) which is a great advantage if you are travelling without kids in the school holidays as the main pool is very busy and noisy.
We stayed in self-catering in a room for two which was small in size. The room had been renovated so it had modern decor however there were a few things which we didn’t like: The balcony looked directly onto the balconies opposite us so there was no privacy sitting outside. The balcony also only had sunshine on it for half an hour in the late morning. The bathrooms have been designed without a door so there was no privacy when using the bathroom. I have attached photos to try to show this. Also there was no drying rack so after washing up there was nowhere to put things to dry. Another negative about the room was there seemed to be no sound proofing. We could hear everything outside the room; taps being run in other rooms, people in the corridors and chairs being moved etc. If you are a light sleeper definitely take ear plugs.
The hotel is in a great location not far from the centre of Cala d’Or. There is esmeralda beach which is small and in August absolutely packed. Sadly the water was full of plastic and litter which was very depressing to see. It seems a shame the surrounding hotels can’t pitch in to have daily litter pickers. Ferrera beach is not far from the hotel and is slightly wider and didn’t seem as dirty.
The staff were very helpful and friendly and there was entertainment in the evenings although we didn’t go to any so I can’t comment on the shows.
So if you don’t mind very big, noisy, busy hotels then this hotel is good in a good location. If you prefer somewhere smaller, quieter and more relaxed Inturotel Cala Azul Garden (which is part of the same group) is only up the road and personally we prefer it.

A hotel that is really geared towards families. We had a great time with our 2 year old. The hotel is part of a complex located in a great location- close to shops/ restaurants and a beach right in front of the hotel. Our apartment was perfect- I believe it was in a newer block so was very modern and perfect size. The cleanliness of the hotel was very good- rooms cleaned every day and complex was clean.Only gripe I would have is with the cleanliness around the pool and sun beds. We have stayed in 3 star hotels before and the pool area would be hosed down every evening along with sun beds. This wasn’t the case here in fact we saw sun beds with bird poo on them for 3 days and brought it to staff attention before it was cleaned. More attention needs to be given to this area, no pool staff at all around only the lifeguard. Evening entertainment was fine for us, our son loved the mini disco and the entertainers. We only ate in the beach club restaurant at lunch and the food was fine and staff very nice. No issues with sun beds, we would go down at 10am and plenty of beds available. No iron in the apartment so had to rent one for 2 days with a deposit of €10 which you get back and a fee of €8. We would return again in the future.

Our stay at Esmeralda gardens was just perfect! The complex itself is immaculately clean. Rooms cleaned every day. Lola, who cleaned our room was the sweetest person, she made our towels on our bed into different shapes everyday as she noticed it was our wedding anniversary, such a special touch. The pool areas were very clean with plenty of sun-beds. The lifeguard’s were on hand to deal with the sun-bed warriors removing towels that had been reserved and left before the pool had even opened. The entertainment was a little disappointing if I’m completely honest.
All in all we would definitely return and had a fantastic time.

Lovely hotel in a fantastic location right next to the beach and to lovely restaurant and bars. Cala D’dor is a great resort with so many nice places.
We had a sea view room with a great balcony and views access the bay.
Unfortunately, the hotel was over crowded. The situation with sunbeds is ridiculous. There aren’t enough beds or space around the pool for the number of people at the hotel. If you don’t come and sit on beds to reserve them from 8.30am you are unlikely to find a bed all day. The lifeguard comes and removes towels in the morning if you aren’t sat on the beds. That means that you have to choose between eating breakfast or having a sunbed.
The swimming pool is over crowded to the point where you can barely move. The beach is equally busy.
I’m sure this hotel would be lovely outside of the school holidays with when it is quieter.
