Grupotel Rocador has earned accolades for its attentive service, especially from the restaurant manager José, who often receives special recognition. While the atmosphere may need a boost of liveliness, the hotel's cleanliness and prime location are frequently praised, offering guests easy access to beaches and local attractions.
The rooms boast commendable cleanliness and views, though their size and some maintenance aspects draw criticism. Despite the range of amenities available, including beach and pool access, some guests feel the value for money falls short, with certain expectations unmet.

Recently home from a week's chilled break at the rocador. We didn't arrive until after midnight and got checked in very efficiently and straight to bed. The next morning we went for breakfast and navigated from building 2 where our room was to breakfast on first impressions the hotel is spotless nothing is out of place and cleaners and maintenance are always working tirelessly to keep the hotel areas clean. A few reviews say about the layout of the buildings but it was never any problem for us I get some people getting confused but we mastered it no problem. There are two areas for breakfast one closes at 10am and the other at 11 which has a lovely outdoor terrace looking on too the beach. Both areas were fine with every item available. The garden is a lovely chill out area with plenty sunbeds. The pool area also was very peaceful with plenty beds available at any point of the day and a pool bar serving snacks and drinks. Both areas you could walk down and get beds at any time of the day. Our room was in building 2 on the 3rd floor facing the beach. The rooms are spotlessly cleaned and towels changed daily. We upgraded with tui and paid extra for sea view but in all honesty I would not pay the upgrade again not that there was anything wrong just didnt feel it was worth the extra money. The a/c in room was fine and in some cases had to be turned off at night also there are tea/coffee making facilities in room alongv with pool towels on arrival. The hotel is no more than a 5 min walk to the square with an abundance of bars and restaurants more than enough to keep everyone happy. Overall it was our first time in Cala dor and the rocador we will definitely return

This hotel occupies a superb location at the side of Cala Gran bay with 2 mins walk to restaurants bars and shops but tucked away at the same time. Hotel ~ beautiful calm interior Balearic in style but not clinical. Staff~ outstanding!!! All friendly welcoming and extremely helpful and hardworking. Food~ caters for every taste excellent vegan and gluten-free options nice variety too. One visit per stay to a la carte and barbecue book on app to avoid disappointment iPads available at reception or book with them if not tech savvy. Pool~ beautifully clean not over deep. Pool bar~ go to bar no waiter service. Snack and menu. Garden area~ no beds by 9 am all taken. This starts at 6.45 am with towel layers. Restaurant ~ busy and well run avoid peak times if you prefer a calmer atmosphere. Hotel foyer ~ lots of chill out areas around to sit quiet. Hygiene ~ spotlessly clean and beautifully scented. Lift and layout~ you get a map, it is confusing but 2 days and you get used to it. Small slow lift but adequate. Farewell lounge~ can be used for toilet and showering after luggage is packed before airport and home. Excellent facility!
Overall a wonderful hotel that should definitely be a four star not a three. Staff are truly friendly, amazing and fantastic. They work long hours and extremely hard and go to great lengths to make your holiday special. I would like to mention Pedro master omelette maker. Patricia and Roberto on reception and Antonia the waitress especially. Food excellent and room beautiful . Ask for beach side upper floor. We were 1516 on the 5 th floor amazing,,, I would have no hesitation booking this adults only hotel it totally exceeded our expectations. Many thanks to all for making our holiday memorable and special and the Manager for running a great place to stay. Ruth and Craig UK

A nice good hotel located centrally between the beach and the restaurant streets above. Takes only 3 minutes to the beach. The hotel was built in 1963, but is very well ⁇ ined and is often renovated and keeps a good standard. Cosy nice rooms, bathroom totally ok fine. It is very clean all over the hotel. Fine outdoor areas with sunbeds on the lawn overlooking the water. The pool is not very large, but totally ok. We had breakfast buffet included and it was very good with great selection to choose from. Nice and serviceminded service at the hotel. This is one adult hotel so one does not scream and scream from children, very good to lie to relax here on a sun bed either by the pool or on the lawn, quietly to quiet. Recommend this hotel to couples who want an ok good hotel standard and who want to have quiet to quiet in nice surroundings. We will be happy to return to this hotel on a later occasion.

We thought we were booking a romantic getaway and were willing to pay a bit extra for a quality stay. However, our experience turned out to be quite different, and we have several reasons for not enjoying our stay:
The staff, from arrival to departure, was consistently unfriendly and seemed overly stressed. There was little time or concern for guests' matters, with instances of being overtalked and even mocked.
The room was dark, worn, and in desperate need of renovation. Moldy and worn-out furniture, cheap plastic chairs, dirt, and hairs from previous guests, along with torn towels, were just a few issues. The room, facing a wall, had no view of the sky due to a roof over the terrace, contributing to its overall depressing ambiance. Its location by the elevator and staff room added to the noise level. Despite attempting to change rooms daily, we were informed that we had booked a standard room, ignoring the stark contrast between the advertised room and the actual reality.
The elevator to the standard rooms was repeatedly out of order, forcing guests with disabilities to navigate stairs. Unfortunately, while the staff readily assisted attractive young guests, those genuinely in need, like elderly individuals, were consistently overlooked.
Breakfast, served in a very noisy breakfast hall, focused more on quantity than quality. Beyond the quality concerns, there were issues with food safety, as some dishes, including drinks, remained unchanged daily, leading to the unpleasant discovery of rotten fruits in the iced tea and flavored waters.
The pool area, while somewhat dated, was acceptable. However, water cleanliness problems and an overwhelmed pool bar staff detracted from the overall experience.
In conclusion, our stay was a pure disappointment, and we cannot recommend this hotel. If you're looking for a pleasant vacation, there are much better options in the area. We will definitely not be returning here.

Staff very good. Lady on reception was very helpful when we needed to change rooms - we had been given a complimentary upgrade to a side sea view room that was HUGE but it was under the restaurant. On the first morning it was fine as breakfast and all the chair scraping and banging didn’t start until 7, but after that there were early breakfasts for early flights that started at 5am. So the lovely lady moved us to a smaller sea view room. I saw someone else complaining on here that the sea view was only a sliver of sea view - that’s a result of the nature of the landscape - but I can see how someone who has paid extra for it might be disappointed. The hotel was clean. The breakfast was good - usual standard fare and a very happy egg man. Plenty of sunbeds and towels provided. Pool area wasn’t the nicest but there is a nice garden area instead that the sea view rooms also look over. The indoor pool is about 4 degrees warmer than the outdoor one. It’s a short walk down some steps to the beach for a dip in the sea and you need your room card to operate the gate - makes you feel safe inside the hotel grounds. As usual in Spain you have to pay for sunbeds on the beach. As an adults only hotel the age profile is rather high, but we did also go outside the main summer season which I guess is more popular with the older crowd. We were there for the last full week in October and many of the restaurants started to close after the Saturday night - we were glad we weren’t there the week after! The hotel is very central though, in a great spot.

Simply wonderful, from the guy at the reception, who has been a delight, the cleaning girl who left the room spotless every day, to the restaurant workers, who have had each and every one of them divine attention. . The hotel is very good, spacious rooms, some with beautiful views of the cove, with details such as the refrigerator, the free safe, pool towels and a service so you can make coffee and infusions. The rich and varied food... Really, what must be highlighted in this hotel are its workers, a true gem, I hope the chain knows how to value all your work and effort. A hug. .

We stayed in room 2510 for a week in July, the weather was really hot reaching 35 degrees on a few days. The hotel is comprised of two hotels joined by a walkway in a great location, just a few steps to the beach. We had a good room with a side view of the beach and sea. The hotel staff are excellent, really helpful and friendly, particularly Jose who seems to manage the restaurant and facilities. The food was really good - we love Spanish food and there was a really wide range of meals on offer. We only ate in the buffet restaurant, but we had the option of the a la carte restaurant, but we were very happy with the food options in the buffet restaurant. Breakfast and evening meal options were great, we didn’t bother eating at local restaurants. The cleaners were very efficient and fortunately came in the morning while we were out. There are a few minor downsides, the A/C really struggled in the high temperatures and the fridge in the room was mediocre. The broadband speed was intermittent and sometimes it was a bit frustrating. The speed was much better in reception, which was also a lot cooler. We’ll certainly stay her again due to the great location, quality food and friendly staff. This hotel is a strong 4/5 and is recommended.

Ok so first the good - the staff were incredible, really friendly and helpful. The location was great, right in the heart of town and close to the beach at Cala Gran. It was really clean and wherever you went around the hotel there were always sunbeds available. The gardens around the hotel are lovely and well kept. Another nice thing is that they supply you with 2 beach towels that you can change for clean ones whenever you want - a really nice touch.
Then the bad - the food was meh, not actively unpleasant but not good either, just meh. I'm not a little Englander and I don't need English food so it wasn't that but it all just tasted cheap. The rooms were laid out weird - 2 of you getting ready became a trial even though the room was spacious. The room was also dark - definitely difficult for my wife to do her make up. The spa was pretty much unavailable for our trip other than the "heated indoor pool" which is not heated and certainly not "toasty" as the brochure describes and the 2 bars had very little atmosphere(I've seen adverts that say 6 and no - just 2).
Other points of note - when you check in and in some of the brochure it says private beach area and entrance - neither of these things are true. Also the adults only thing in my head this was couples and friends etc, in reality it felt like a SAGA holiday for old people. Nothing wrong with that but wasn't what I expected(or wanted). There is also no information in the room at all so you will need to speak to the reception several times and it is a shame that they provide no information about the hotel or area.

Stayed at the Tui blue Rocador for 7 nights bed and breakfast.
The entrance to the hotel is modern and clean and check in was swift. On arrival to our room we were disappointed. The room was small and resembled a room you would find in a travel lodge and not a 4 star hotel. The room and bathroom were very basic and the bathroom felt slightly grotty and in need of modernisation. The tap was very scratched and needs replacing and the towel holder fell off the wall when I pulled the towel off. The towels were thin, hard and very small. A major disappointment was the poor air conditioning which you could barely feel. The room was warm overnight which made it very difficult to sleep. I will say the room was clean and the cleaners worked tirelessly everyday to maintain the rooms.
The swimming pool was underwhelming with no atmosphere. There were plenty of sun beds though and no rush in the morning to get beds like other hotels we have stayed in. Towels are provided, but again they are poor quality, very thin and sometimes given to us with bleach stains on them.
The staff at the hotel were very friendly and the location of the hotel is perfect as it’s right on the beach and a 2 minute walk to the town and local shops.
Overall, this hotel did not meet our expectations and does not compare to other 4 star hotels we have stayed in. Unfortunately we would not return.

We had a lovely relaxing stay at the Rocador. It is set in a beautiful cove with direct access to the beach while the gardens surrounding the hotel are also kept looking lush and colourful, which all help to make the location feel quite idyllic.
We paid a little extra to get a room with sea views which was well worth it. The room itself was humid on arrival but we were able to keep this under control with the a/c. The fixtures and fittings are not top quality but the bed was very comfortable and the shower was good. As others have noted, the hotel has an unusual layout but our room was quiet and close to the restaurant and pool.
The pool was immaculate and there were always plenty of sun loungers available. The food options in the restaurant were delicious and there were plenty of healthy options (including veggie/vegan) as well as delicious deserts. The poolside bar was also well staffed so you never had to wait and the service in general was always very helpful and friendly.
I'd also mention that when something did malfunction in our room we decided we would report it when we came back from the beach. Nonetheless, it was spotted by the maid while we were out and an engineer came up and fixed it before we returned, which I think speaks volumes for the efficient and effective running of the hotel.
Many thanks to the team there who made our week in Mallorca so special
