The Prinsotel Alba & Spa is frequently lauded for its exceptional service, with the staff's friendliness and helpfulness standing out to guests, despite the occasional inconsistency in housekeeping and Kids Club arrangements. Nestled in a prime location, this hotel is a stone's throw away from beautiful beaches and local amenities, making it a hit with beachgoers. The rooms, celebrated for their spaciousness and modern touches, offer a comfortable retreat, though some guests have noted areas in need of updating. While the hotel's cleanliness generally receives high marks, including spotless accommodations and well-maintained grounds, a few travelers have pointed out occasional lapses in daily servicing. The vibrant atmosphere, with live music and entertainment, further adds to the hotel's charm, offering a lively yet peaceful environment. Amenities, including family-friendly features and dining options, are typically appreciated, but issues with overcrowding and maintenance have been mentioned. Opinions on value are mixed; some guests feel the experience is well-priced, while others question the cost relative to the amenities provided.

We booked the Prinsotel Alba Spa apartments for a family holiday for 10 of us that being 6 adults and 4 children aged 3,6,8 and 14.
On arrival they could not find the booking
for one of the apartments but eventually it was sorted. The receptionist was very helpful and polite at all times
The apartments were clean and quite spacious but the furniture is desperate for
an update the sofa bed was old and not very clean and I don't think it's ever been cleaned but we did not need it,the main bed was large and very comfortable, the bedroom was very basic with a small closet
for your clothes.
The bathroom as everything else was looking worn but was sufficient for our needs it's a shame it was not a walk in shower rather than a shower over the bath.

The apartment we were in was #313 and had three flights of stairs with no lifts.

The pool area was nowhere near sufficient
enough for all the apartments. The pool area had one main pool with an outdoor stage separating it from a toddlers pool and was far to small to accommodate the number of guests, if you didn't get up and
put a towel on a bed by 7am you would not be sitting around the pool area. There are 226 apartments each holding 4 guests you do the maths.
Around the main pool you have 20
umbrellas with space for 2 beds then 5 on the pool edge and 15 set further back then you have 14 around the children's pool near the main pool. There are 2 smaller pool areas purely for children and they too have
towels on beds. I complained to the receptionist about towels reserving beds but they were not interested, the Prinsotel Alba has rules for around the pool but don't enforce them, being a small pool area it's
hard to find space in the pool it's impossible to swim especially when you have multiple inflatables, people playing ball games throwing the ball from one end to the other kids running and jumping into the pool and
the lifeguard watching.
We booked room only and ate from the snack bar through the day, the prices in my opinion are a rip off considering you can walk to the nearby spar and buy a coke for
86 cents but the snack bar is €2.45 but if you have a sandwich in the Salt&Rock snack bar which is the same bar and sit down the coke jumps up to €3.45 from the same bar but if you go get it yourself it's
less.
There is a little van on site permanently that does hotdogs, burgers and pizza s and chips and is cheaper and nicer.
Overall the Prinsotel Alba is in my opinion over rated they need to look after their guests better and make improvements to the apartment standards and a larger main pool while enforcing the towel rules.
The Prinsotel Alba is close to the beach and shops but the area is very hilly and not for those that have walking problems as I have.
The grounds and all areas are clean but it's never a 4* hotel.

Lovely hotel in an excellent location, just minutes from 2 beaches and close to Cala D'Or center with its many restaurants and pubs. We stayed in a select apartment overlooking the pool and have absolutely no complaints, the room was spotless and cleaned daily, with toiletries and towels provided. There was a good choice for breakfast, from a full breakfast to fruits, pastries and healthy stuff! During the day there were plenty of sun loungers around the pools with beach towels again provided, There is a great cafe/Bar at the pool with reasonably priced food, drinks and ice cream all served by some lovely staff ( thank you all.) All in al a great week in Prinsotel Alba

We stayed with our two children aged 7 and 10. We were also with family who stayed in the hotel as well. Firstly, all the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The animation team are amazing- they seem to work at least 12 hour shifts but always had a smile on their faces and were full of enthusiasm. We had a family apartment near the pool which was very clean and modern although fairly basic. Towels can be changed daily if needed (just pop them in the bath and they will swap them) and the room is also cleaned daily. There was a bit of noise at night from the pool/bar area but we didn't mind as the location was great for us (there are plenty of apartments away from the pool). We all loved the entertainment at the pool e.g. volleyball, water carpet, etc. We watched a couple of night time shows too which we enjoyed. The entertainment is fun without being too much. The hotel is in a perfect location with everything you need close by. Cala D'or is perfect for families with younger children although in August the beaches are very busy due to their size and popularity. The kitchen area in the apartment was fine for us as we ate out a lot. You will need to bring tea towels and there isn't a cupboard to store food. We had a 4 seater table to eat at, there was a toaster, kettle and 2 ring hob. The pool area was spotless and although people get up early to reserve sunbeds we always managed to find a couple. You could also grab one of the beds that were stacked up and pop it next to yours. The bars and food around the pool were great. We really loved staying here. 😊

The location of the hotel is excellent right beside the beach and within easy walking distance of the centre and Marina. The road train also stops very close to the hotel. The pool area is very busy but the pool and surrounding area were always spotless. There were also 2 fabulous really shallow pools and loungers for families with very young children which were ideal and were away from the main pool and children's pool for older children. We had breakfast included and it was excellent. A full selection of everything you could possibly want served buffet style. The room itself, while very clean, was slightly shabby and dated, with not very efficient air conditioning and it really needed a new bathroom suite but it had a huge really comfortable bed and a separate lounge/kitchenette area. The balcony and view were slightly disappointing. We had little interaction with the staff, but those we did deal with were very helpful and pleasant. We would definitely consider this hotel again if we were to return to Cala D'or and would also consider it to be excellent value for money.

Location is excellence. Room spacious with big comfy bed and lots of storage. Really lovely and cool too.
Self catering provisions poor. 2 hobs but only 1 worked (we reported) very little and extremely cheap crockery and cutlery. We only wanted to make a simple light breakfast but was impossible.
Cleaning was a high standard with fresh towels and bed made everyday. Downside was that our room was near the housekeeping area so we were woken at 7am every morning to the sound of trollies that were all lined up under our bedroom window. Then very loud chatting and laughing between the housekeeping staff (and sometimes shouting). I’ve never known such noisy housekeeping so early in the morning and I sleep very well! There was also a speaker under our window which I think was there to play ambient music… but 8am weird plinky plonky music started. Every morning!! … so if you’re near housekeeping or an outdoor speaker don’t expect to sleep in! Weirdly we go lt used to it in the end!
Pool area nice and big. Early sept there were no sun bed hoggers and always somewhere to pitch any time of day. Lots of small kiddies though. We were travelling as a couple so would probably chose adults only next time.
Overall the location and big comfy beds were the highlights.

First good points. Location is great beach and restaurants close, grounds lovely well kept, reception was good informative, had a buffet breakfast once was amazing but 16 euros is a bit expensive and 8 for child, the food in the van was great for snack for kids. Bad points we stayed in 926 air con was terrible it was on a sensor so when you slept it would switch off wake up boiling and sweating they did fix it after 3 days but wasn't very cold, bed massive comfy but trying to get around it with TV on wall was so tight, there is no storage no drawers 3hangers but the shelves was so small couldn't put a shirt on them wife and daughter's couldn't hang dress because to small, no lifts carrying 4 cases up 4 flights and we had other family with pushchair, pool was far too small for size of hotel plus couldn't go in at 3pm untill 5 because water polo took over and adults throwing ball full force and diving everywhere then the blue mat comes out and takes up the whole pool kids falling off and adults, kids girl entertainer was great pool zumber and kids disco great, sunbeds is impossible by 7am they all have towels on, last why the annoying guy comes out at 7am and uses the leaf blower to blow one leaf over and over for about hour and half everyday just get a brush no one wants to hear that at 7 in morning.

The hotel is perfectly located just across from the biggest beach in Cala D'Or and only minutes from the hustle and bustle of the bars and restaurants. Cala Esmerelda and the marina are also in easy walking distance. Loved the one-bedroom apartment - plenty of space and a huge comfy bed!

We visited during half term so we anticipated that the pool would be busy but didn't anticipate that all the sunbeds would be 'reserved' by the crack of dawn! We even witnessed an early-riser bagging the sunbeds with towels when we were waiting for our airport transfer at 5:45am!!! Thankfully we discovered a fab pool at Tropical Garden which is only a 5 minute walk from the hotel and has plenty of free sunbeds.

Can't comment on the gym, spa, restaurant or bar at the hotel but if you're looking for nice rooms and a great location, you won't go wrong here.

We came here at the very beginning of the school holidays- last week of July 2023 and the first week of August. We had booked a two bedroom suite room for myself, my husband and granddaughter(age 10) and two standard apartment for one of my daughter (19) and her boyfriend and the other apartment was for my 17 year old daughter and her friend. Our two bedroom suite was located right above the burger van near the pool and the view looked down on to the table and chairs next to it. The smell of the food was just too much and the loud noise from other guest dining so we moved and down graded to a standard room near reception as they did not have another apartment to give us. We booked on a bed and breakfast basis.
The hotel was absolutely heaving during the day by the pool. It felt cramped and there was not enough shade for everybody, All sunbeds were taken by 6am if not earlier. We resorted to going to the beach everyday and even then we had to be there with towels before 7.30am as after that you could get no sunbeds there either. We have been to Cala Dor many times over the last two decades and in the Summer of 2023 the town was jam packed. You had to make dinner reservations in local restaurants as the popular restaurants were turning guests away.
At breakfast there were really long queues for hot drinks. It was quite difficult to get a table for our large party and we often had to wait. The food at breakfast was nice enough but after two weeks it felt a chore to go.
We went out very evening so did not have an evening meal there but the buffet did look nice.
This hotel is really for families with young children as they have a really good animation team that you could see interacted well with the little ones. The hotel reception staff were nice and polite. Housekeeping was hit and miss.
I would not return here as it just was not suitable for my family and we have chosen to rent a villa in 2024 just up the road. The location is good for the beach and the walk into town and back is either uphill or downhill.

We rented an 1 bedroom appartment. Upon arrival clean and tidy and all nescessities are present.
With a large twin bed in the bedroom there’s also a small twin sofa bed.
There’s one big and two small (for the little ones) swimmingpools, a restaurant and a lunchroom. Supermarkets, beaches, restaurants and shops are within a 5 minutes walk.

There was one downside to it all. Despite the fact that rooms are tidied daily, there was no cleaning. Towels were changed and garbage was taken out.
Although the appartment was also mopped daily, the floors were very dirty. Our young daughter played on the floor just after her shower and the floor dried from mopping. A picture is included showing how dirty her legs were.

We went to the Alba for 10 days, I've been 3 times before and loved the location, comfy beds and small children's pools. However this time we were very disappointed. We made several complaints about the bad attitude of the staff in the dining room. This has been mentioned by other guests and is a problem but I would notmally avoid the restuarant, this year as we were a party of 9 my family wanted to use the breakfast as eating out in spain every day can get quite expensive. The waitress one morning did not want to offer our 9 guests a table outside as she said it was full. When we checked it wasn't, we asked why we couldn't sit at a table that needed clearing and said we would wait. The waitress very reluctantly agreed following a discussion with the hotel manager. She started to clear the table and my mum tried to help, like all mums do and the waitress pushed her and snatched a plate from her whist shouting at her to move away. My sister complained again and the manager came over to apologise, he tried to say we were blocking the path but that was a load of rubbish. It left us feeling like a burden and not welcome. The waitress then made comments in spainish whilst waking past us and raising her arms. We were left feeling very uncomfortable. It was clear it was wrong as another waiter apologised for his colleagues behaviour. We were offered a complementary meal in the evening to say sorry. We reluctantly went and was treated as a complete inconvenience again. The manager hadn't told the restaurant who said 'you have to pay for this' we tried to explain and the waitress (a different one) that it's was a complementary meal and said she would need to check. This again was done aggressively and like we were a burden. She even said 'this is a very big problem for the restaurant' again this doesn't make you feel welcome and it was meant to be a way of apologising for the previous days breakfast situation. They eventually said that this was right but said 'you still have to pay for drinks' honestly we didn't expect not to pay for drinks and we didn't really want the meal but the hotel insisted! We did tell reception about this and nobody came to speak to us about it at all. Its a shame because they do have some lovely staff and these individuals let the hotel down. Why have a restaurant if you don't want anyone to go? Just make it self catering and stop insulting your guests! I spoke to a few other families who had said the same which is a shame. We spent £5000 just on rooms and you would expect staff to be hospitable and not hostile. They are obviously in the wrong job as this isn't hospitality. They should take a leaf out of groupotel molins staff who are all lovely. I'll be taking my family there in future.
