This is our first time to Cala D’or and it has met my expectations of a great family holiday in the nice warm weather. I was a little disappointed at first that our room was not pool facing (as that is what you see in all the adverts and on Tui’s app and website) but ground floor facing a car park. But as it was just me and two teens we never really stayed in much or sat outside. The room is large and the kitchen functional. I hadn’t intended cooking anything but having a fridge and kettle has proved useful. The rooms were also clean, couldn’t fault anything in that respect. One teen pushed the two sofa beds together and made herself a large king size bed which we just left for our stay. A lock on the bathroom door would be nice but I put the Do not disturb sign on so when the door was shut it meant don’t go in. We liked the pool and although popped into the one in Esmerelda Park we preferred ours much better. I thought the main hotel for food would be literally next door and having a disability with walking was not brilliant for me. I had to make sure I took it slowly. This wouldn’t be a suitable situation for anyone in a worse situation with mobility. The breakfast food was quite the same every day but a good selection. The evening meals had a good amount of choice but maybe a little more could be provided as specialities for vegetarians. I felt that the options for me were mostly salad and chips, or pasta. All nicely cooked though. The waitresses were very quick clearing plates the minute you put cutlery down. We also had lovely pizzas from our pool bar and planned to do that again on the departure day. Reception staff were mostly helpful and friendly. One printed out bus times and recommended beaches to visit. I made a mistake of having an evening flight from UK so we arrived after coach transfer at about 3.15am. The reception person on our arrival seemed a little odd (the teens comment). They seemed to not be fully on the ball. After giving our passports to be checked, pay the tourist tax and signing something we finally got room keys about 3.30. Never again as it made that day very long and we still had to get up for breakfast. Anyway, happy to answer questions so will end here.

Travelled 2 adults and a 13 year old boy This Hotel was very clean plenty of sunbeds pools were freezing probably as time of year but we did have a week of 28-29 degrees. Cleaners do a great job staff are friendly but it was to quiet for us nothing much to do here. The pool bar was not busy food was good but expensive as was drink, we used once on first day but went to other restaurants' during the day .
We used the Esmerelda Park as only 10 mins away and as same hotel chain we can access through a gate at the side. This hotel was lively and my son was chuffed they allow inflatables in these pools which was great. The entertainment during the day and in evening were also good and no problem getting a sun bed also. Very convenient location adjacent to centre and close to beaches. Reception and pool bar staff were most friendly and helpful throughout our stay.
The apartments are simply furnished but all essentials were there and in good condition, and the complex itself felt well maintained. The bed in particular was very comfortable !
Going in September, most guests were older couples and a few young families. The pools were cleaned very morning and there were ample sun beds throughout our stay.
We had a relaxing and enjoyable break and ideal for couples in particular, those with older children may find it a little quiet. ( however the main Inturotel complex, with play areas and entertainment is only a short walk away and all open to the Garden guests.)
If hiring a car there is a car park adjacent, which was very convenient.
The only slight negative is some may find the noise from the nearby bar/karaoke a little annoying, though it was finished by 11.30 or so each night and not an issue for us.
Overall an excellent holiday and would recommend to anyone looking for an easy, relaxing stay.

Well being only a 3 star I wasn’t sure what this self catering holiday would be like. But wow!!! Positives- great garden area and pool area. You could get a sunbed at any point during the day which was great. The pool bar staff were amazing and really helpful especially as one of our party had a nut allergy, they cooked some food separately to ensure it was safe for her to eat, which was great. The rooms are very clean and tidy. The beds are comfortable. The location is amazing, within minutes you are near supermarkets and restaurants which are lovely. You can walk to the town in about 8 minutes and then walk on to the harbour in about 20 minutes. Although if you want to get a taxi you can to the harbour was around 5-6€ which I thought was very reasonable. It is great that you can use the services at the other inturotels - so using your room card you can walk approximately 4 minutes down the road passing the Eden and then take the next right and about half way down you can use the entrance into the Esmeralda Park and you can then use their pools or restaurants or kids club/entertainment or get access directly to the beach which is gorgeous. The pool/beach bar there is amazing and they have great coffees and snacks which you can enjoy with amazing views. Tips- it can be confusing finding the entrance but you have to get through using a room card which is good for security but you can use the intercom to get inside. The safe you have to pay for you get a weird key to reset it which you have to leave inside to set the code and leave it inside to use it. You can get pool towels but you have to pay a daily fee. Print out your ‘holiday voucher’ if you go with Jet2 they want that. Also if you book more than 1 room and want them together you have to pre request this as they don’t get that detail from Jet 2. There are only have 4 floors and it is quite small. But floor 4 has no lift, as it only goes up to the level 3 rooms. Great value, good family hotel. We had an amazing time !!!

We stayed here on 6th May for 3 nights, booked through TUI and was extremely happy with our time here. We had a second floor apartment with a great view of pool and surrounding area as well as morning sun (0320). Spacious apartments with plenty facilities for self catering with plenty of local shops within a few minutes walking distance that are reasonably priced. There are stairs and a lift for accessibility. Hotel receptionist and fellow staff are friendly and welcoming. WIFI is free on the grounds and accessible at the sister hotels too. Safe in the room is 3.50 per day with deposit of 3.00 returned at Check Out. Room was cleaned each day. Pool was cleaned and maintained well with lifeguard there and was lovely after chilling on the sun loungers. We didn't have to compete for one but believe that to be cause the time of year. Pool bar was opened 9-5 with drinks, light bites and meals available. Slightly expensive compared to local bars and restaurants but that's usually the case with pool bars as its convenience. Lots of choice of bars, restaurants, souvenir shops, kid play areas within 10 min walk. There's also a bus 5 min walk for exploring outside the area to another towns. Some of our favourites were; Noir Mallorca, Fernando and Rancho El Patio. The sister hotel has more food options as well as evening entertainment for the whole family and located next to the beach with pools and bars overlooking the stunning landscape. Plenty of beaches with walking distance, Cala Esmeralda and Cala Gran, are the closest but my favourites as they are beautiful and breath taking. We were able to watch the sunset. This hotel was much more quieter compared to its sister, which I personally prefer, even with the karaoke bar across the road, the sisters night entertainment is much louder than this one. I have no negatives to say, one of the best places I've stayed and I will happily come here again (with or without the kids as it caters to all) as well as recommend this place to everyone. Stayed in Esmeralda Gardens for the 4th time in June. The complex has benefited from a new entrance, garden and a car park. The apartments are immaculately clean and iarewell located midway between Ferrara beach and the centre of Cala d'Or. Apartments are a decent size with basic but adequate kitchen facilities. Staff on reception the lifeguards and Javier on the beach bar especially were genuinely pleasant and always helpful. Many of the staff remain from our first visit in 2015 which is a credit to Inturotel group. There is no evening entertainment which I regard as a blessing and noise from nearby bars disappears well before midnight and can be mitigated by requesting a room at the rear of the block which is much quieter than the pool view appartments.

Nice clean hotel local to shops bars and small beaches. Staff were all lovely!
Pool bar was fab and well stocked with drinks and ice creams and they made delicious pizzas which were well priced! Food in the sister hotel was average with some lovely evenings and some evenings where we weren't keen on what was offered.
Pool was great and beds were available all day. We personally didn't bother with the pool at the other hotel as it always looked so busy!
Air con was good providing you kept all balcony doors closed. It did not work well in the bedroom but if you kept the bedroom door open it filtered through OK from the living room. This was the case with all 3 of my families apartments so wasn't just ours.
The one thing I couldn't stand was going to the toilets in the basement (we used these during our pool days instead of going back to our room) because people seemed to gather there when soaken wet but there was material settees leaving the most awful damp smell throughout the basement. Please update the settees to leather and try and get rid of the damp smell!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Esmeralda garden hotel in August. The rooms were clean and comfortable, there was a small kitchen with hob and fridge. They don't have a restaurant so as we were half board we had a 4min walk to the big sister hotel for food, which wasn't a problem for us and we had the bonus of self catering facilities in our room to make lunch if we wanted. The pool was a good size and much quieter than the main hotel, no problem getting a sun lounger at any point of the day. There is a karaoke bar opposite which can be noisy until late, although it didn't keep us awake, if you prefer silent evenings ask for a room not overlooking the pool. The staff were helpful and provided free of charge a place for luggage, pool towels and shower facilities after checking out on our last day as we had a late flight. Great value for money, would be more than happy to return.

This is a fantastic hotel. Lovely rooms and staff. It is part of a group of hotels in Cala d'Or and is the quieter one of them so no issues with getting a sunbed. The pool is lovely and we used this most days. Well the staff made sure the hotel was kept exceptionally tidy. We saw them painting benches, polishing the outdoor showers and bins and when at the main hotel, Esmarelda Park we used the pools there as well which are right next to the beach. The pool bar / cafe was great and very reasonable. Highly recommended.
