We had a mini break, 3 nights at the hotel and thoroughly enjoyed the experience, from arriving, with a glass of cava, to leaving with a smile. Rooms are comfortable and spacious. The staff are friendly and attentive. Breakfast and dinner bot had plenty of choice and eveything was of a high standard.

Loved this hotel. Food was great, good choice every night. Room was spotless clean and not looking tired like some hotels do. Could have been recently refurbished, I’m not sure. All areas were well kept, and staff from reception to cleaners and waiters were very courteous. My husband only drinks tea so was bitterly disappointed there was no tea making facilities. It wasn’t a problem as kettle and cups were delivered to the room immediately when I requested them. Evening entertainment was good. My only gripe really was the cost of the massages. And the bikes we hired were not great. We stayed last time at a Protur hotel and bikes there were far superior and free from the hotel. Having said that I would definitely return to this hotel in the future

Have just returned from this hotel, no problem in checking in and a complimentary drink. Our room wasn’t ready as we were early in the morning 9am but staff took care of our luggage and we had a look around. Our room was facing the road but could see the pool so that wasn’t a problem. We were bed and breakfast but paid to have a dinner for 1 night… food is fab wish we had booked half board. Loved this hotel and will definitely return.

The hotel did not cater for vegetarians even though there were at least four of us staying at this hotel. One night I was offered pasta and garlic. Another night it was a very greasy inedible noodle dish. One day I was given a plate of tofu. The chef obviously didn’t know that tofu on its own is tasteless. I had to tell him it needed to be cooked in a casserole, a stew or a curry. My final night I did get a nice tofu casserole. That was bad when I was there for a week. The manageress told me to tell the chef what I wanted to eat. This isn’t what I go to a 5 star hotel for. I was also told I could not bring the water from my room to the dining room even though the hotel provided it. I would have to buy another bottle. I was also told I couldn’t bring a drink I bought at the bar into the restaurant. Every other 5 star hotel I have stayed at provides water at the table. I was told half way through my holiday that the tap water wasn’t drinkable. No signs anywhere not even in the bathrooms. I found the hotel manageress quite unpleasant. …

Fantastic. Miguel met us when we arrived after an absolute nightmare experience at another hotel (not the hotels fault). So friendly and calm and that has been the overall experience - friendly and calm. Everything and everyone at this hotel is professional. Everyone seems to love what they are doing and that just gives the whole experience a special vibe. Food 10-10 Staff 10-10 Rooms (clean etc.) 10-10 Not necessarily a hotel for children to go wild, but you can take a taxi to the beach for 6 euro, and then go bananas. This is a hotel that is crying out to be made an adult only hotel due to its class decor and amenities. The overall experience sadly was ruined by noisy screaming children especially at the evening meal when its nice to relax with your food and wine. The rooms are very comfortable and spacious and the hotel is very clean and well appointed overall. We did not enjoy the grassed areas for the sunbeds as its attracted insects which we were bitten by most days and the pool area food was not to the standards of the restaurant. Good SPA facilities but could not use saunas as inadequate lighting made it unsafe and a bit of background music in the area would have been nice. Bedrooms very spacious and well equipped and bed was very comfortable with choice of pillows, nice to have spacious wardrobes with plenty of hangers. Good beaches a stones throw away and this is the better end of the resort. Overall very classy but shame about screaming children when you go away to relax. …

We returned to the Hipocampo Palace again for the first time since the Covid pandemic and we were not disappointed. The hotel has used the time to make improvements not least with a marvellous new swimming pool. The high quality food did not disappoint and has lots of choice with enough to choose form to suit everyone and the service team were excellent. Peaceful location close enough to the beach and town centre with a range of shops and some nightlife. If you are looking for a relaxing comfortable stay with high quality food then you cannot go wrong with the Hipocampo Palace.

We have just returned from this Hotel having stayed in one of their suites for a week. Staff are always happy and willing to help and the Hotel is spotlessly clean. We loved the pool and the sunbeds were not on top of each other. Never a rush to get a sunbed which was lovely. The Restaurant was fabulous but our only complaint was the soup was luke warm. On the third occasion this happened we told the Waitress who promptly removed our soup bowls and never returned! We then saw a Chef take the soup away and presumably heated it up. It would have been nice if the Waitress had informed us what was going on. Breakfast was good but again some of the dishes were only warm. Having said this we would certainly return to this Hotel and have today booked again for next September.

I would describe this as a four star plus hotel. The hotel is not super modern but is nevertheless very well presented, immaculately clean with excellent staff. We stayed for a week at half board and can say the food was excellent throughout. The pool and surrounding areas are spacious and not packed with sun beds. The pool bar offered the usual drinks and snacks throughout the day at a reasonable price.
