We are just back from 1 week holiday here.
I had emailed ahead of time and the hotel arranged a hotel transfer for us which was abit expensive but it did the job and saved the hassle ...€85.50 from Malaga.
We got a free upgrade to a 3 bedroom app which was soooo big, loads of room, very clean, 2 bathrooms, even left us washing liquid/ washing powder/ clothes which was a nice touch 👍
No air con in the bedroom only in the lounge which was abit annoying but was ok and we managed, we did have to keep emptying the water bottle on the balcony which was from the air-con.
Staff very nice and try to help as much as possible.
Pool is really nice, lifeguard is lovely too and played with kids.
Pool bar is expensive too but u can bring ur own drinks or food in which was good.
Sunbeds are not comfortable tho, some are broke and really need updating, we had to move them about so we could get so not broke or sagging ones

Scandals bar and restaurant downstairs is nice but quite expensive, staff r really lovely tho,
The owner of the bar tends to sit about in the bar, he seems nice too but he had his dog with him one day and it went for my daughter which wasn’t good and thankfully she is ok, kind of put us off and we did check if dog was about the next time we went in so be careful with ya kids.

Campino beach ( Andys beach bar) truly lovely place and a must go too,
Everything u want is there, and all super close so u can go in sea, then have food, or jet ski... lots to do and good prices her on food too...€9.00 for chicken burger chips and salad which was really nice 😊

Slow boat and little Italy were very nice restaurants and we really enjoyed them, even my kids eat there and good choices.

Not a lot to do around the area, no entertainment so kids did get abit bored at night.
Quite a hill to keep going up and down each day too, especially in the heat 🥵
Taxis r at the bottom tho so u can get it back up 👌 €4.60-6 which is a lot but worth it at times.
There’s a bus at the bottom of the hill near the motorway, that takes u too Marbella one way and Fuengirola the other way, doesn’t take that long and nice scenery on the way through
Hope this helps guys 😊

We were extremely disappointed with this property which looks in the photos much nicer than it is. Upon arrival we were told we would be charged a 30 euro fee for electricity use. There is a safe in each room, but we had to rent a lock for the safe for 19 euros! These two charges were ridiculous!!
We had a group of family and booked a 2BR and 3BR unit. The units were large and the bathrooms very good. The decor was from the 1970s or 1980 at the latest. There is a washing machine (no dryer), stove, oven and refrigerator in each unit. These were all good. Our room (the 3BR) was right over the bar which was noisy until midnight two nights of the 7 we were there. Also we could smell the smokers smoke during the day when we were around. Additionally, both rooms faced the street rather than inward toward the courtyards or swimming pools and we had lots of noise from happy people in the hours after 1:00AM.
We rented a car but there is very limited parking. We found space on the street bu luck!
The entire property needs updating. Staff was only moderately pleasant. We have decided not to use RCI for European destinations.

this was our first visit to the Campanario but we were well pleased. We asked for and got a lovely apartment on the ground floor suitable for a disabled person. I could drive my mobility scooter around the back and into the apartment.
The apartment was very nice and clean, three bedrooms and two bath rooms. The kitchen had everything, even a dishwasher.
The terrace was lovely, even had our own lawn.
The swimming pool area was equally as good, plenty of loungers to go around and the pools were great for kids and adults.
The staff were brilliant, always so helpful.
The resort is about a 10 minute walk from the beach, but you escape the noise from the main road that hugs the coast.
Likewise, there are plenty of shops, supermarkets, bars and restaurants within 10 minutes of the resort.
The beaches are beautiful.
The golf course is five minutes away.
There are regular buses to Malaga and Marbella, so we didn't bother with a car and went everywhere, (see photos),
We cannot wait to return, hopefully next year.

in our search for the most suitable resort in and around Spain, this came close. Lets get the negatives out of the way first. It is 20 min walk up a steep hill from the Main Road ( but downhill going out ) , no Bar or Restaurant but one attached (Vitos - see report ) with internal access and no communal meeting place.
Now for all the good things :- Walk out and turn left and on the left is the Crown Resort (open to non residents ) with its fantastic all YOU CAN EAT 5 course buffet for 10.90 euros (6.90 under 12 ) and first class free entertainment most evenings.
Or continue downhill and in 10 min there are 15 (yes 15 ) restaurants including an Irish Pub with excellent draught guinness and a Supermarket. Walk another 10 min and you reach the front with another 15 restaurants ( No kidding ) and the best Fish and chips in Calahonda. Go under the Main Road and you are on the Beach but there is a better beach.
Walk to the right from the resort and again 20 min downhill you reach the 'Centre' with 4 restaurants and 2 Hypermarkets on the main road. A bit of a slog back with shopping but there is a Taxi waiting for 5 euros. Go under the main road and there is a magnificent beach with the best beach restaurant I have ever seen with good food and live entertainment.
Back at the resort there are 3 lovely pools surrounded by all the apartment blocks on 3 levels, a pool bar open most afternoons excellent service in comfortable rooms with all the amenaties.

We went there 6 friends with 2 kids 7 and 4 years old. we were all so impress with the views, the location, the beauty of the sorrounding areas, the facilities within the residential and around the area. The staff were fantastic and helpful at all times..we were even supposed to leave the place at 10 in the morning but due to flying schedule and other issues they allowed us until 3:30pm free of charge. There was a small gym in the premises but useful as well as 3 swimming pools and coffe shop. The aparthotel itself was beautiful decorated in white arabic style. Apaetments were so spaceful and well design with a lot of terraces to enjoy the night. O gove my 5 stars if o could but I can not.I ll repeat the experience anyway..amazed with the price.

We stopped here for just two nights after spending two weeks in various different places in southern Spain. This was the most expensive and most definitely the worst place we stayed. That sin't to say the apartment was all that bad, but all things considered this was poor value for money and the location didn't make up for it.

Apartments are quite large and reasonably well equipped. We had a few problems with things like the washing machine, but staff were helpful and dealt with them. Pool area is OK, though we retreated to our room after being repeatedly attacked by flies.

WIFI - you have to pay for it (5 euro per day), even though it was advertised as being available throughout.
When you pay for it (and we had problems doing so) you can only use it on ONE device at a time! And if that isn't bad enough, it's advertised "fast" performance is ridiculously slow.

Parking - is a problem at the hotel and actually most of Calahonda. The beach is a 15 min walk down a hill (up on way back) but there is nowhere to park closer to beach. Most people drive to other locations for better beaches.

There are a few restaurants and supermarkets close by, but Calahonda is a nothing kind of place. It's main feature is a motorway that runs through middle and makes navigating your way around town rather complicated.

An average place to stay and sleep, but you'll need a car to find a beach or more interesting places to hang out.

But please WIFI this bad should be free.

We’ve just returned from a short 5-day break here and would highly recommend: lovely, spacious apartment- spotlessly clean, maid service, plenty clean towels and bed-linen.
The apartments are well –equipped with TV, A/c and microwave and washing machines and the location is quiet and peaceful. There was water, juice and milk in the fridge on our arrival – very nice touch!
Pool area very nice. We arrived by taking the train to Fuengirola and a taxi to the apartment for €20.00.
The Complex is up a hill and there are shops and a mini-market nearby. There is a much larger Supersol and Mercadona close by as well.

We discovered the wonderful La Mandragora restaurant in the El Zoco centre and happily ate their for the 5 nights of our holiday.
Calahonda is a nice quiet area and would be an ideal base for touring, or indeed for just kicking-back and relaxing.

Just returned from 5 nights here, arrived 1800 to be told they had no booking which is not what you want to here but then hey presto she found an apartment for us. Complex is clean but apartments are getting tired, mainly the furniture in lounge area and beds are not that comfy. Nice touch of washing up liquid and milk but no kettle or hairdryer but they were provided after a trip to reception. They do not have a teapot and the cups are very small so I would either take a mug with you or buy a cheap one from supermarket. Easy walking distance from a small selection of bars but as you are a captive audience some know how to charge. Easy to find of main road, pool area was empty even tho it was high 20's. I would return for a short break
