We Stayed early June for 9 nights the hotel in my opinion is worth more than 3* I couldn’t believe how clean and fresh smelling it was room cleaned and fresh towels every day rooms are a nice size comfortable bed and tv ( no kettle though ) showers are very good. Continental breakfast is really nice with plenty to choose from pool is lovely with plenty of sun loungers (only down side they are quite hard and uncomfortable to lay on due to covid they took cushions off )we asked a few times for them even asked the owner but they wouldn’t give them to us 🤷🏻‍♀️ So that was disappointing. The restaurant was not open in the evening as the owner is unable to get staff for evenings so meant you had to go out for dinner each night would be nice to have the choice to eat at hotel if you don’t want to go out and hopefully this will be addressed soon as will the sun bed cushions !! All the staff were excellent very welcoming polite and helpful we would definatly stay there again and highly recommend hotel zodiaco 👍

An average hotel that does not offer a lot of comfort but has a really nice pool and pool area. It's a relatively small property so you don't really experience the usual issues like queues for breakfast or having to get up at 7am to get a pool chair. It's all very relaxed and manageable, although there were issues with electricity supply and water pressure in the room. The whole hotel was impeccably clean and spotless, and the staff is very friendly in general, but the room left a lot to be desired. There was a desk, a small TV and air conditioning, but that's about it. No fridge, no kettle, no iron, no couch, no balcony... it really was a no-frills room purely for sleeping. Having to pay €2 to rent a towel was also highly unusual. Besides, the breakfast was quite limited and repetitive, bread and scrambled eggs is essentially all you get, and it's all mostly gone by 9:30. Overall I wish we had had a more comfortable room and a better breakfast, but it was still a pleasant stay in a very clean property and the pool really was amazing.

2nd time this year. The fact you can see your your face on the black marble as you walk in speaks volumes. Abousloutly spotless. In all areas. The rooms are brilliant and the beds extremely comfortable. Breakfast is good. Only continental so if you want a fry up not for you. The staff are very freindly and helpful. It's a walk from the sea front not to far but those with walking difficulties will suffer. In general a fantastic hotel and will definitely go back.

I am not a frequent writer of reviews, but I have got to praise and recommend the Hotel Zodiaco. The hotel is spotlessly clean, both inside and out, very modern looking, rooms cleaned daily with fresh towels also beds made each day. The shower is great. Bed very comfortable. The pool area is also spotlessly clean and the pool itself really nice, not too cold!
The staff on reception at the Hotel Zodiaco are all really friendly and helpful, and went out of their way to help and advise me with anything I needed.
Although the restaurant has been closed since Covid, the hotel provides a buffet style continental style breakfast, with as much to eat as you want. There are plenty of restaurants to pick from about 10 minutes walk away from the Zodiaco, close to the beach.
For anyone that likes walking and the countryside, like myself, there are plenty of pleasant walks close to the Zodiaco, some down to the seafront and then walking in either direction (right into Quarteira or turning left and along the beach/cliffs), also along various lanes and footpaths starting on the opposite side of the main road to the Zodiaco and leading to a couple of lakes which are good for birdwatching.

Spent a week at this hotel, friendly staff. Good sized room with a large double bed, unusual
to get this as its normally 2 single beds pushed together. Comfy bed and pillows, good air con as it was hot and good shower. As the rooms only had shutters, no where really to hang wet towels and costumes. Very well maintained hotel. Large pool area. Only issue was the mattresses on the sunbeds absorbed water, so when you sat on it, your clothes were very wet. Would be better to have waterproof ones instead. Breakfast was good, no variety, but there were fruits in a bowl to cut up yourself, a large bowl of melon, yoghurt, cooked meats and cheese, different breads and cakes. We were surprised there were no tomatoes, so we bought some at the local store. Hotel was about a 10 min walk to the beach, sunbeds were 10 euros including umbrella. We had a good time here, will stay again.

First time staying here for nearly 10 years, and was impressed that it had not aged in that time; on the contrary, it looked brighter and more appealing.

Okay, there is no sea view that you would get from other hotels in Quarteira or Villamoura, but as we were only passing through on a road trip that was not a problem.

Easy, safe parking included. Good choice of breakfast items included. And a very decent swimming pool. For the price, unbeatable value.

Only downside was the very serious breakfast supervisor who was stood at the end of the room watching guests like a hawk. On morning one, he pounced as soon as I opened a window, ordering me to close it on the grounds that air conditioning was supplied. On the second morning, he pounced again when I took a cake and coffee out of the breakfast room to sit on the terrace area outside, whilst my wife face timed our daughter. I was ordered back in.

The guy at reception was the star, his name was Leo. After checking us in, he reappeared as bartender shortly afterwards, and provided our drinks, including perfectly mixed cocktail. Later that evening he appeared again, this time to tidy up the pool area. He was always busy, busy, busy during our two night stay, and if I were his boss would double his salary. In these days, when staff are hard to find, he is invaluable.

Hotel Zodiaco is very well located for those who are driving,a good parking lot, very close to the beaches. The staff is very friendly won't hesitate to help you out with the best places to visit around.Rooms are clean, breakfast is fair. The swimming pool is inviting. It's a calm and quiet place to stay, and at the same time very close to where the action is going on.

We stayed for 5 nights in this nice hotel.
The room was big enough with a modern bathroom and above all very clean.
The breakfast was plentiful with various options and hygienically perfect.
The staff were very friendly and willing to accommodate all our wishes.
The hotel is a bit outside the center, but still not too far from the beach and in particular it has a large parking area available for those with cars.
Finally, quality / price is excellent.

Sometimes the wifi wasn't that good.

Stayed at the Zodiaco Hotel 28th-30th June. We visited Portugal to attend a Wedding and so glad we chose this hotel. Arrived at Reception at 10pm and found the Receptionist extremely helpful. Our room was spotlessly clean and so was the hotel surroundings. We had continental breakfast which was very tasty and a lot to choose from. We also ate a snack in the bar and had drinks which also was of very high quality. The pool area was lovely and relaxing and always a lounger for you to lie on. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely visit again 😀
