Greve is a nice little town. The hotel looks okay. The room was very small. I bumped my head several times. The bathroom was not clean and the toiletseat was loose. The service wasnt friendly at all. The hotel has a swimming pool outside.
location, location, location A1 excellent. On the piazza. Rooms were clean but very tired and needed updating.
Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast adequate, better than average. Lovely pool and garden area for warm weather.

Yes, it is easy to see Greve in Chianti in a day, it is a very, very small town. We had a car, but it wasn't necessary for this little town, except when we visited a winery. The purpose of our stay was to learn more about Chianti wines.
We stayed also stayed in Cinque Terre, (Monterosso al Mare). In hindsight, we would have skipped our 4 nights in Greve, and instead, added them to our 3 night stay in Cinque Terre. We would have liked to have stayed in Manorola for those 4 extra nights.
