A nice looking hotel from the outside but gross on the inside. The wallpaper is peeling, gross stains on the seats, fungus in the bathroom. It’s sad that such a hotel so close to the beach in a beautiful area can be run down and poorly managed.

I stayed at this hotel with a few other friends of mine as we were all going to our friend's wedding. The hotel isn't a 4 star hotel and I have no idea how they can claim that. The room was possibly what I would expect from a bad 2 star hotel, the carpet was dirty the furniture old and in need of repair, the shower leak and the shower head tube was damaged, there is no iron or boiler in the rooms, the curtains are dirty and old, they only provided one pillow each and it was as thick as a stack of 4 slices of bread and to top everything off the air conditioning doesn't actually work. I think the only good things about this hotel are the pool and the proximity to the sea, maybe if I was to be generous the breakfast was okay.

Underground car park at entrance on the right. I suggest checking with hotel before arrival to see if you go straight down as there is little room off road. Bell entry system to car park. Nice airy reception and excellent staff. Room was large and airy with a nice bathroom and shower. Novel seating position in between rooms on second floor where two people can look out in recliner loungers through a large window to the sea. Swimming pool area gets crowded when busy though nice size and plenty of loungers. Breakfast buffet well stocked typical Italian with meats, fruit, yogurt, juice, cereals etc. two hundred metres from sea front. Lovely promenade for walking but stony beach. Nice hotel for a few nights though not perhaps one for a week or longer.

Spent 4 nights in September 15 with a group of around 40 people. We stayed on a half board basis. The hotel is clean and modern, the rooms spacious and well furnished and the bathrooms good. I had no complaints about my room but several other people in the group reported minor problems in the bathroom such as leakages, missing bungs to wash basins etc. The staff were very friendly, and the dinner generally very good considering that our package was very reasonably priced. For that reason there was no choice of menu and that was part of the deal. The main problem was the lack of organization mainly around breakfast. Our first breakfast went very well because we were the only group, but on the other nights there was either one or two other groups so at one time there may have been 120 persons staying overnight. That should not be a problem for a hotel of this size, but the disorganization was total. All groups were leaving in coaches early in the morning but there was only one poor person looking after everything. He did his best but could not keep up with bringing food, plates cups, coffee etc. All food and beverages ran out. It was as if no one had considered that one person cannot possibly cope with a all these guests. After the chaos became total, first one other member appeared and then some minutes later another, but by then people were already leaving as the coaches had arrived and were preparing to leave. In my judgement the management and not the staff were completely to blame for this mess. In my opinion they have excellent staff at this hotel but the management, if it exists at all, is very poor. A good manager would also make sure that all the plumbing in the bathrooms is in good order. Wifi is free but contrary to what one is told, does not work in the rooms. Signal not too strong either…

Having not been to Puglia before this was a holiday in the dark, however I must say it was well worth the visit and the Nicotel provided what we wanted for the weeks stay. Large airy bedrooms with balcony overlooking the adriatic and a good location relative to other hotels in that area. Whilst there is very little English spoken in the area we were fortunate to have someone at the hotel who helped us immensely when it came to car hire and tourists attractions to visit.
