Amazing hotel in Lacco Ameno, close to the main streets and main shops / services. Amazing pools inside and nice rooms. The staff at the reception was very kind and available for any requests. Highly recommend if you're on a budget but still looking for a nice place in Ischia

This hotel is super well positioned, approximately 300 metres of the sea and the beach, just across the main street in Laco Ameno, and just near the bus station. The hotel has a great and big patio with large swimming pool which has terminal water at 38 degrees Celsius. Is family friendly and offers 24/7 reception. I spent 4 nights there in a business trip and I had a big double room with garden view. Super clean and had every day clean towels and the bed was made every single time. I had only breakfasts during my stay. Which was a buffet breakfast with large variety of cereals, cheese, ham, bacon, eggs, sweets such as home made cakes, juices and lemonade, as well as still and sparkling water. All waiters speak English and Italian of course as Spanish and German some of them. I totally recommend this hotel ad for a week stay in Ischia.

We stayed here last November, sadly won’t be visiting again. The warm pool was too dirty to get in as was the room it was in. Our room was dirty on arrival as well. They had a bizarre no shorts rule in the dining room which would be fine if the food/venue was nice enough to merit it, but it wasn’t.

Lovely location, quiet, peaceful, friendly staff throughout. Fantastic swimming pools and amenities local to the hotel. All the staff were very accommodating and welcoming. The hotel has excursions on the desk you can get yourself on really cheaply.

I spent three nights at the Villa Svizzera and have to say that for what I was paying it was excellent value for money. My room was very comfortable and well maintained, the quality of the food overall was good and staff were courteous and professional for the most part. However, throughout my stay the indoor pool was cooler than I was told it would be (and bad weather prevented me from using the outside pool although it was also cold) which made it quite unpleasant to use, and every time I asked about this the member of staff basically said they hadn’t been aware. In terms of food, the concept of ordering both meals at breakfast time, i.e. lunch and dinner, while I understand the necessity did feel quite limiting and the menu was very restricted. What I would also say is that while pasta or first courses were largely exceptional, the second courses were far more hit and miss and side dishes genuinely felt like an afterthought. I was also conscious that it felt overall like meals were on a timer and you were expected to eat your meal and leave the restaurant as soon as possible, having said that there really wasn't somewhere comfortable to then set especially since the hotel was quite busy with a large group who occupied almost the entirety of the common areas. I also found the fact that I was not allowed to take a glass of wine out of the restaurant to sit in a more comfortable seat to finish it quite uncompromising. All in all yes the hotel is lovely and for an off season break it is a good choice and is good value for money but perhaps I wasn't their ideal clientele.

The ideal hotel for your vacation in Ischia. With friends, family or romantic holidays. Each summer, we spend at least one week at Svizzera for many years now. The restaurant is delicious. The rooms are comfortable. The staff is always nice and they know their customers tastes and habits. Location is great to discover Ischia. Next to the beach, Negombo, restaurants, bars & shops. The hotel also organises tours. Thank you for everything ! Grazie !

Heartwarming welcome. Very attentive and kind staff. It is a very pleasant and well located establishment, the shaded terrace, the geographical site, the proximity to the shops; the big plus is that there are two swimming pools one inside and one outside with water very hot.

I stayed here for four nights for a work conference that was held at another grander hotel nearby and it was quite an experience. Ischia is a very beautiful island and I wish I'd had more time to explore. Staying at Albergo Terma Villa Svizzera was comfortable. I had a simply furnished room, a shower facility that worked (slightly low pressure) and my room had a balcony with a view over the ocean. The hotel is right next to the water and across the road from the pedestrianised shopping area. Breakfast is a crazy experience. It starts late - 8am! - and it involves a tonne of people crowding into a small space to select coffee/tea, fruits, toast, cakes, etc. There are plenty of tables around, it's just that the buffet area is quite constrained. The waiters are busy but friendly. The front desk staff are helpful and friendly during the day and after hours. The thermal pool is nice for a dip. I didn't use the pool but that looks nice too. This felt like quite an authentic Italian experience as it appears to be a popular hotel for Italian retirees because of the thermal pool and treatment centre. The other guests were happy and friendly but clearly on a different mission to me and my colleagues. On the Tuesday night there was loud - very loud! - music playing in the hotel garden until about 11:30.

We enjoyed a wonderful week in this hotel. Our room had a fantastic roof terrace, which overlooked the harbour. The local bus stop was directly outside the hotel and a taxi rank was on the opposite side of the road. The local main street was only a few metres away, allowing me to go window shopping whenever I felt the need, The hotel staff were all very helpful, Paola and the rest of the team at Reception could not have been more helpful. The Spa facilities were excellent, clean and very professionally run. We found the Island of Ischia beautiful and will visit again, one day.

Staff were extremely rude and inconsiderate and upon launching a complaint based on the following experience all correspondence was duly ignored by the hotel on numerous occasions and we were forced to recover a refund via booking.com itself (who were also shocked by the hotels conduct) which clearly demonstrates the hotels visible lack of any form of adequate customer service. Both my partner and I were extremely disappointed in the in the overall condition, cleanliness and basic nature of the hotel room with the walls etc. heavily marked, the furniture in a poor state of repair and what appeared to be a small leak from the radiator, none of which should be expected of a four (4) star hotel. Furthermore despite paying for a ‘Double Comfort Room’ we were made to sleep on two separate beds (which differed in height) and of which had been merely pushed together and kept slipping apart throughout the night which was highly uncomfortable. Moreover there was often no hot water available from the shower (only on one occasion did my partner have access to hot water) which was mild at best. Notwithstanding the forgoing we then had a pile of receipts (inclusive of our ferry tickets to and from Ischia) as well as some work documentation which were left in a small pile on the side of the desk go missing from our room. These documents were observed by both my partner and I upon leaving the room and upon our return were no longer in the room, during this time the cleaners had in fact accessed our room and I found that a lot of my cosmetics and personal items had indeed been moved into a nearby drawer etc. despite the fact that we had ensured to leave the bed clear etc. for the cleaners ease of access. I see no reasonable justification therefore as to why any of our personal items were in fact handled and moved within the room given that they were not obstructing the cleaning process, and whilst it cannot be proven I believe it is a reasonable assumption that the cleaners may have discarded this small pile of documents in the belief that it was in fact rubbish as both my partner and I would not of touched such items as we both knew the importance of such documentation. Upon complaining to the reception we found the staff extremely rude and unhelpful and highly accusatory in their tone and we were in fact simply informed that it was of course against local legislation for the cleaners to discard of hotel guests property so that there is no way this could of happened, we were not offered any solution, assistance or apology of any nature whatsoever. It was however suggested at one point that maybe some wind may of knocked these receipts/tickets on the floor and that the cleaner may of discarded them at that point based on the assumption that they were indeed rubbish, however even if this was the case I think it was reasonably evident that the documents in question were of importance and that they by no means had any authority to discard our personal possessions in such a manner. We would strongly urge all potential guests to save their money and stay elsewhere.
