3 of us stayed in the royal suite for 3 nights during the festival of Mahashivratri. The hotel is well located, a short walk from Triveni ghat and with beautiful views of the River Ganges.
The room was a good size and comfortable beds. Unfortunately the room was dirty with marks on the wall and the toiletries were not replenished. One tube of shower gel, for 4 days between 3 people is not sufficient.
The restaurant (Sitting Elephant) has superb food and the service is fantastic. The staff in the restaurant were always happy to accommodate our requests.
The staff across the hotel were warm and very helpful. All were ready to share their knowledge and expertise of the local area which was invaluable to our experience. Thank you Mr Jitendra and team.

We spent 2 nights at Ellbee Ganga and would highly recommend the hotel to people who want to stay close to the main ghat for evening aarti at Ganga. Rooms are spacious, clean and well done. There is yoga session in the morning which we enjoyed. Note that the road near the hotel has traffic and is noisy, but you can just get down to the beautiful ghat and walk towards the aarti location. The hotel people accompany you for the aarti and get you good seats.
Breakfast was good. Dinner was ok, found it to be on the creamer/richer side which we did not like as much.
Rishikesh as a place is wonderful. We did rafting which was fun, roamed around near Laxman Jhula markets, evening aartis at the main ghat is a great experience. If you prefer quiet atmosphere, you may head to ashrams/hotels up north of Rishkesh. This hotel is best for the evening aarti, walks along the nice and clean Ganga ghat.

Our experience at the hotel was pretty decent. The staff is polite. We stayed at the hotel for 1 night.
The location is ideal if you want to attend the Ganga aarti at Triveni ghat. It is at a walking distance and the staff escorted us to the ghat. You can pay 350 to opt for the special aarti. You get a good view of the aarti and can also get pictures clicked by professionals. Also, the pandit asked for additional 250 as dakshina :p
The food was decent, although the breakfast buffet could use more options. A weird policy they have is that you can only order a-la-carte for room service and not in their restaurant - only buffet there.
Lastly, one thing that bugged me was that they asked for money for dusting our car. We don't really expect to be charged for this when we spend 5000 a night on a hotel. We ended up wiping down the windscreen ourselves.
Overall, it was a decent stay. If you are in Rishikesh to attend the Ganga aarti, you may wanna consider staying here.

Property: The overall facility is well maintained and tastefully made, especially the Ganga view rooms. Staff is very courteous and warm. Always ready to help. Location: The hotel is on main street and is at a 15 min walk from Ganga aarti at Triveni ghat, as well as the main market and auto-stand. Food: Their kitchen is amazing with a good variety of menu and good preperation. Other: They provide complimentary morning yoga sessions. The hotel's airport cab is priced well as compared to other cab-aggregators in the locale.
Cons:
The prepaid breakfast quality isn't so good if compared to the dine-in. We highlighted this while leaving and the staff assured they'll work on it.

The WORST hotel i have ever stayed in. Even tier 3 cities have better hotels and facilities. We were made to change the room because there was no hot water coming in the bathroom which was the same in the other room as well. Eventually, after a lot of complaints we were given buckets filled with hot water to bathe. We had to ask for basic toiletries like bath towel, soap and toilet paper. Inspite of paying for a room with bath tub we were never able to use it. The rooms are totally worn out, the plumbing pipes are leaking. As a guest i expect basic facilities to be provided and should not be asked for time and again. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone. It spoiled our memories of the last 9 days of our uttarakhand trip.

The hotel is located at a prime location and you will get a view of the Ganga river from the rooms . The rooms are spacious , and well decorated . The bathroom is also clean and with all modern facilities. The hotel also provides assistance for the evening Ganga Aarti visit at Triveni Ghat , which is just a 10 min walk from the hotel . Special mention of Mr Vijay Kandwal who was extremely helpful and he arranged everything for us for the Aarti very efficiently. He was also very courteous in the restaurant and he always treated us with a smile and served us with priority . Overall a very good experience and a memorable experience . Only point of concern it is priced a bit too high which is due to the Christmas holidays and weekend .

Had a nice stay at the hotel. The location is very good, overlooking the Ganga river and Rajaji National Park. Plus we got a free upgrade to a suite room which was large and had a great view (thru a large glass window). And the highlight is the Ganga Aarti. The hotel arranges free guided tours to the evening aarti at Triveni Ghat which was divine. Our guide Mr. Vijay Kandwal was very nice and got us the best seats to see the aarti. The rooftop restaurant has great views of the national park and the river (although it is a bit too pricey). All in all a good stay in Ellbee.

Had a wonderful 2 nights stay (25th - 26 Dec 2019). We were extremely lucky to be allotted an Executive suite i.e. for a family of 2+2 . The suite was having a view of the Holy Ganga river. The staff of reception, restaurant, housekeeping was very polite & helpful. Mrs. Prerna @ reception was very very helpful for guiding us for the various tours & river rafting. The view of Rishikesh from the terrace was breathtaking.

Room we booked was river view on Expedia, and we were given a 1st floor room. To be honest, none of the river facing rooms are really river view as all you can see are trees. However, the views from the rooftop restaurant are stunning.
Once in the room, we were appalled by the state of the room. Half the lights were not working, dusty in corners and under the bed, stained bedsheets, dirty bathroom curtains and a broken shower knob that came off when used.
When we complained, it was a long process going back and forth between Expedia and the hotel and we received a coupon credit from Expedia as a gesture though it does not compensate the time and money we wasted living here.

Refer to the Review where some of the points which were indicated are the reasons for the dissatisfaction, however our records indicate that except one of the reasons where trees obstruct the view and a swift action has been taken and the room was shifted to second floor, sir understand we can’t stop growing of the trees, the branches and the leaves . Sir all our team mates are well trained enough to maintain hygiene in the property . Our Supervisors keeps an eye on every nook and corner in all the room for the guest comfort and also we record the cleanliness . We as a team tried every possible means to make the guest happy against every odds. Please do not judge us solely on the basis of unavoidable circumstances as this is certainly not reflective of the otherwise high standards of service we endeavor to maintain. I absolutely loved my stay in The Ellbee. The room was exactly how it is mentioned in the website.
Pros: 1. Super close to Triveni ghat, so you can enjoy the beautiful ganga aarti. The hotel also send someone as an escort with you who stays with you for the whole aarti. 2. Rooms are super spacious. 3. The breakfast buffet has a nice spread. They also serve you hi-tea . 4. The in-house restaurant, the sitting elephant is one of the best. The food is delectable. 5. The staff is super friendly and very helpful.
Cons: None
Suggestions: 1. Can probably replace the mini toileteries in the bathroom with the bigger refillable pumps so there's less plastic waste. 2. No need for a face tissue miniature in the bathroom, can keep a tissue box. Saves a lot of packaging and reduces plastic use again. 3. Can keep a sanitary napkin dispenser for any emergency. Although the staff was extremely courteous to get it for me from the medical store.
Also a big shoutout to MR. VIJAY KHANDELWAL. He was our escort to the Ganga aarti for two days. He was super patient and knows his way around. He made sure our experience was amazing.

We went during the summer, so did not have a requirement for the same, but I am sure they will accomodate this requirement in case you need a heater. The staff is extremely courteous and helpful
There are more places to choose from in the Rishikesh area.
