I knew this experience was going to be wonderful from the day I arrived. Immediately, I was welcomed there and every day since. The entire staff is to be commended on their helpfulness whenever I needed the slightest thing. From the manager Satish, who was the consummate professional, to the servers in the restaurant, to the cleaning folks, I was treated so very well every day. Secondly, I have to mention that they really know how to clean a room. Since I was there for almost four weeks, I did not require daily cleaning. At times, I just asked them to replace towels, or clean the floor (it gets muddy in Rishikesh). However, each time they did a thorough cleaning and the room was fresh and new, meeting very high standards. The food was excellent. They did not always have everything on the menu, and there were certain times of the day where the cook was not present, but I really preferred to eat there as often as possible. Many times they brought it to my room so that I could continue working. My favorites were the hummus plate with falafel and the spinach soup. Also, they had excellent paranthas, chole, dal fry, and kitchari - perfectly spiced. The internet was fast and reliable, so I was able to work online, and they have a good backup generator for power outages. My room had an excellent heater and small refrigerator, as well as an electric kettle, coffee, and tea. The bed was comfortable with a mattress topper and excellent quality linens. Laundry service was prompt. There was also a small safe in the room, which I found most helpful, although it probably was not needed as a few days I left a tip out for the staff and found it there every time I returned! I finally had to discuss it with the manager and he said it is best just to tip at the end, which I did most gratefully. The location was perfect for me with excellent proximity to where I do my work in Swargashram and Ram Jhula. My stay was memorable because of this excellent hotel and staff. They facilitated my volunteer work (seva) in Rishikesh to a great degree, making it possible for me to have what I needed to give it my best. I will definitely return to this hotel next year, and I advise you to look no further when considering a stay in this part of Rishikesh!

We booked two superior rooms, but they upgraded one room to the Premium category without charging any extra amount. Neat and clean hotel. Date of stay 27.05.2022. Well-behaved, trained front desk staff. Prompt check-in. Delicious food is available in the restaurant. Toiletries and Tea-coffee with an electric kettle are provided. The car can reach the hotel gate. Parking is available in nearby lanes. Lift is available. All important places viz. Parmarth Niketan, Gita Bhawan, Vanprasth Ashram Janki Jhula, Ram Jhula, etc are situated within 10 minutes' walking distance. Overall a good experience.

If you are looking for a clean, hygienic, peaceful accommodation at the prime location of Swarg ashram in Rishikesh then Hotel Yog Vashishth is the right choice. Just walking distance from Ganga ghat so you can have Ganga snan and can attend Ganga aarti as well.
The overall experience was great. Mesmerizing view from the room, utmost greenery and darshan of Holy Ganga mayya from your room itself as soon as you wake up in the morning. Maintaining such cleanliness in monsoon time when it was continuously raining heavily for days is actually commendable. Mr. Satish who is managing this property is a gentleman who keeps his words and always there to help you out or just a phone call away. Food is good, quick service, staff is polite and well mannered. I really appreciate the kind of services provided and the agility with which they get the work done. Very clean bed linen, bath towels n all. I liked the overall ambience of the room with nice wood work.
Last but not the least, washroom was very well maintained and hygienic. Charges are worth the services provided. Looking forward to my next Rishikesh trip and revisit to Yog Vashishth.

I have travelled to rishikesh multiple times mostly for river rafting but this time my travel was specifically for a stay next to ganga ghat and to enjoy the bliss of ganga aarti near to parmarth niketan ghat.
Yog Vashsihta is just 3-5 mins / 200 mtrs from ganga ghat. rooms are spacious and was lucky to get the rooms at the top most floor which also gave a nice a nice view of the ashram / hills and ram jhula near by... staff was courteous , heater was provided when requested, parking is available on street just outside the hotel under CCTV ...

We 6 family members stayed for 2 days in two premium rooks at Hotel Yog Vashishth at Rishikesh on February 10th & 11th, 2023. Full payment was made in advance.
The reception is very bad, no Wifi facility (strange reason given- sever is down for 2 days) While check in the hotel itself, the guests will get experience about the worst treatment they will receive during their stay. As i have paid full amount in advance, we have no alternative.
For any enquiries at the reception the persons were rudely responding as if the gusts have no choice but to stay in this hotel only and as if guests are staying free of charge. Blatant neglect and disregard for the guests. Though the rooms are on triple sharing basis, the towels and other toiletries were provided for only one person, no replenishment of water, sugar and tea bags in the rooms. These are provided to the guests only if they repeatedly requests.The person in the restaurant was providing the menu as if the guests are coming for b/f & dinner in a LUNGAR. Location is on a very narrow road. No parking available.
The ambience and interiors of the rooms are very good, the hotel is very close by, just 2 minutes walk to various ashrams, ghats, etc.

i had a very comfortable room, very clean, quiet and lovely views of the hills. the staff were amazing especially the manager for whom nothing was too much trouble, all the staff were very polite and helpful. i really recommend this hotel for comfort and amazing value for money. the hotel also has its own travel agency if you need to change tickets or get help with your travel in any way everything is provided for a quiet, comfortable stay in a nurturing atmosphere.

From arriving at this centrally placed hotel we were made very welcome by reception staff. Our room was immaculate with a lovely balcony which overlooked the mountains. Bed extremely comfortable and large bathroom with toiletries and hairdryer. We had our meals here every day as the food was first class and the restaurant set up & decor was very peaceful, clean, overlooking the mountains. Restaurant staff very polite and helpful, very attentive. Highly recommend this hotel as all the staff really look after you, whole hotel is so clean and the restaurant & food first class. Centrally located for all Risikesh tourist, spiritual places in quiet area.

My parents had stayed here in 2018 so this time when the 5 of us decided to go to Rishikesh, they insisted we stay here. And the hotel did not let us down. The hotel is very clean and the rooms are cozy and comfortable with 24/7 hot water. The service is great! Mr. Satish, the manager was always there to help with anything we needed. The entire hotel staff was very warm, welcoming, hospitable and provided us great service. We love the location of this hotel. Is just a five minute walk to the Ganga, the Ram Jhula and Janaki setu. From the Janaki setu, one can take tuk tuks or bolero share rides to Laxman Jhula, Tapovan, etc.

I was not very sure about this trip as per covid 19 conditions. I didn't felt safe to stay in a hotel but here in hotel Yog Vashistha they completely changed my mindset, It was completely hygienic and safe here. You can stay carefree here and can enjoy your vacations because they taking care of everything. Excellent Service.

I stayed here for 3 days. Very nice location only 70 meters away from the Ganga river. Hotel staffs are very polite and co-operative, foods are awesome even hotel thali is much better than the choti wala special thali. Clean rooms & bathroom, the bed is very soft.

I don't think this hotel offers views of the river. Most of the ones on this side of the city (Swargashram) are set back from the river. You can get river rooms at Parmarth Niketan ashram, but I've heard the rooms aren't very clean or welcoming there.
As for moral policing, I can't answer that question. I visited with my daughter and this was not an issue. As with anywhere you travel, it's best to be mindful that you are in another place with its own customs, and to honor those customs as a sign of respect. Rishikesh is considered a holy city in India (which is why you can't get meat or eggs in most places), so that's something to keep in mind.

We confirm the availability of premier room during dates you asked. The tariff is Rs 3000 including room with breakfast and taxes.
The room at 3rd floor have better view of ashram, mountain and city, you can also see the Ganges but it is far.
Sunrise view is possible from different room but then there is no other better view.
Our hotel is 200 mtr far from river. There are public ghat of ashrams. You can take bath on of those ghat.
