Detailed Reviews
At 10 min walking distance of Tapovan and not far from Laxhman Jhula, this guesthouse has been a relief for me after been caught in the noisy traffic in Riskhikesh. The people at the reception have been of great help: my booking was nit for the right date and the guesthouse was full booked, but they came with a solution offering me a superior room (with some extra to pay). Room was very clean, as well the bathroom. Good bed too. I enjoyed a wonderful of Kirtan there, and we were all offered food after it. It was my first stay there in Rishikesh (where I have tried many hotels in the as years) but i will definitely come again. It's a quiet and serene place, with a garden, sattvic food served at the restaurant, and a very attentive staff. Really an inspiring experience for me.

I stayed 2 nights in a pleasant deluxe room which was clean and comfortable, with a kettle and nice bathroom with plenty of hot water. I've stayed in much worse places for the same or higher price!
The staff are all lovely, the food very tasty and the biggest advantage for me is the quiet location away from the main road, which the garden enhances beautifully. Yet only a 2-minute stroll back to the hustle and bustle.
A/c in the room could do with upgrading as it's the old-school big-box noisy type, and food service was a little slow at times.
I'd definitely stay again.

The MVT Rishikesh is a beautiful little oasis of gardens and spacious rooms in the heart of town but uphill from the road noise below. The Staff are extremey courteous, helpful and very willing to provide anything needed, and are happy to come with room service food at any time of the day and anything else. In particular, Mohid at reception took me personally back into town to recuperate a shopping bag I had left. The gardener
Pankaj and the team are so polite and friendly and genuine. All this, depsite an extremely rude and agressive Canadian couple that kicked off from the moment they arrived, upset the whole staff as well as other guests, and thankfully left after two noisy days, people like that have no business in India let alone in a Krishna run hotel!

First of all they put us next to the maintenance room where noise began from early in the morning and went all day. Workers walking over you while trying to enjoy the “garden view” we paid for on our “deluxe” room. After hours of my husband arguing that they move us to a different room, we finally move. Keep in mind, I have an acute chest infection of which the hotel knows. This is why I so desperately need rest. Less than 24 hours later, they move a whole family into the room above us with 5 children. Yelling, running up and down every 2 minutes, with constant door slamming to match.
Aside from that, each “clean room” I have had to have them re-clean because of hair all over the floors and in the beds. And then, I had to tell the cleaning guy to take his shoes off because he’s mopping our room in dirty shoes.
This place is poorly managed and does NOT represent anything ISCKON. It is nothing more than a money making scheme. We will NEVER stay here again.

We checked in late at night while the staff was asleep but they left the gate open so we could park the car. The front desk representative (I believe his name was Mohit) was polite, professional, and knowledgeable about the region. One of the highlights of our stay was the breakfast in their open-air seating.

MVT Restaurent
LOCATION: Within Tapovan, its located at one of by lanes from main road. Vehicular access is available till the premise. Restaurent and guesthouse have separate and convenient accesses.
AMBIANCE: Soothing, comfortable and peaceful.
FOOD: Excellent and adhering to MVT (Mayapur Vrindavan Trust) philosophy of Satvik - no onion and garlic (at least on the day of our visit for sure). Yet the flavours were at par and the best. Paneer was the softest and fresh.
EXPERIENCE: Very much satisfactory and carrying back good memories.

Bello lugar con buenas instalaciones, personal muy amable y una pileta perfectamente cuidada.
Bajo la puntuación debido a la limpieza: había basura debajo de la cama y restos de comida. No debería suceder en un hotel de esa categoría y con lo que sale.
