There is no words that can entirely depict the experience we had at Veda5. My partner and I lived here for 2 MONTHS!

We discovered this gem of a venue last year and decided to come here to run Yoga Trainings & Yoga Retreats for our Yoga community back home in Australia. We brought over 3 different groups over the two months and everyone had such an incredible experience.

The staff easily make Veda5 the best place to visit in Australia. They are so attentive, so caring and will literally do anything to make your stay more comfortable. Special mention to all those that we communicated with on a daily basis like Kaushik, Ritika, Kudip, Govind, Shivam, Seema, Naveen & all the Chefs. You guys have made this last 2 months so incredible for us.

The venue itself is stunning. Set in the foothills of the Himalayas, 30 mins out of Rishikesh away from the hustle and bustle. There is an incredible view from everywhere within the retreat. A beautiful swimming pool and a short walk to a nearby river. Walking up to the village, farm and temple is definitely a highlight.

The restaurant is amazing. Completely sattvjc food with no onion, no garlic and no meat. Everything they serve is delicious and cooked with so much love and the staff are always willing to accomodate dietary requirements or even just special requests.

The drivers are some of the safest we have experienced in India. They are always on time and ensure you get from a to b very safely (especially on challenging roads).

The property is meticulously maintained, they have groundskeepers working everyday painting something new, sweeping the driveway or watering the plants.

The Ayurvedic treatments are incredible, very reasonably priced. Naveen was very helpful in accomodating my large groups and everyone had such a great experience.

The front desk staff were so helpful, always answering my calls and texts whilst I was leading the retreats and would do anything to help me. No matter how ridiculous my request was it was always completed with such kindness and sweetness. Along with the housekeepers who cleaned the rooms so beautifully and brought me whatever I needed.

Don’t bother staying anywhere else, this place is the complete package. We plan to come back here every year for the rest of our life.

We chose Veda5 for our holiday in Rishikesh after a lot of online research. Honestly we were moderately convinced about the property and looked forward to the twice a day Satvic meal served by them (USP).

But from the day we arrived at this property guys, everything exceeded our expectations. I cannot start to talk about what I liked here, by the end of the trip none of us wanted to go back to our city lives.

The resort is situated on a hilltop on Neelkanth temple road, away from the hustle of the main city. The setting is peaceful and the positioning is that of a wellness resort. It’s a 24 room property. The rooms are standard with a mountain view. The hospitality and food is what were outstanding and made this deal a value for money. The staff is organised and ever smiling and always goes an extra mile to help you. The place is well liked by foreign tourists and about 80% of the bookings were by them during our stay.

They serve veg satvic meal buffet in their in-house dining area of ‘Annam’, thrice a day. The food is made satvic style - less on oil and spices and they mostly use their in house grown organic veggies. The food was so fulfilling and satisfying and the spread was amazing. They had also organised a pool side barbeque night with live music on one of the days as a surprise.

They have an inhouse Ayurvedic clinic and treatment centre and a lot of tourists we met were there to avail these treatments and spend time in their property. We had consulted Dr Suchitra and were very impressed with the way the cause and treatment were explained to us.

For recreational activities, the resort organises free activities including yoga throughout the day to keep the guests engaged. For transportation to and fro to the city, it was easily organised by the reception even on short notice at standard rates.

I don’t usually spend my time on writing reviews but this amazing place needs to be known and experienced.

Thank you Veda5 team for the experience!!

Veda5 is one out of the league resort in rishikesh..A must visit for travellers who seek new and different experience in the same place .
Location:- Will amaze you..When u stop your car on the main road you would never imagine what lies above you .The resort is built on the top of a hill at a super height where only the resort's car and their expert drivers will drive you up the steep slope.

You will be given a very warm welcome at the gate with music of gong playing at the background, you will be treated like celebrity guests by offering rudraksha bracelet and stoles.

The resort is uniquely decorated with traditional artefacts and objects of significance from buddhist, chinese and puranic culture. A very different decor and am just too impressed.

The rooms are very clean and cozy. We were very happy to find electric blankets and heaters in the cold of december month.the duplex room itself was an adventure spot for my kids.

The highlight of the resort was in its variety of activities like yoga, meditation, pranayanam, mantra chanting session etc. All of these came complimentary with our package.

Food was completely satvik.pure vegetarian without onion garlic. Their soups and desert were awesome.very much liked the raw lauki and pumpkin naturopathy halwa with coconut, kaju and kismis.
Each day had variety of dishes and every dish had a unique flavour with atleast one important healthy ingredient in it if not many like sesame seeds, ginger, honey, millet, aloevera, quinoa, barley, saag...

The staff were super friendly and their hospitality is worth mentioning.
Since my little 4 year kid is used to having our traditional bengali cuisine at home, we casually mentioned that to the retreat manager and to our surprise in the next day's lunch we were served with aloo bhaja, begun bhaja and bengali style daal specially made for my kids.

Thanks to Veda 5 for the wonderful and blissful experience. a must visit place....

TLDR;

Fantastic place, calm and serene
Great view
Great food
Lovely & helpful staff

Veda5 was such a pleasant surprise. They had arranged a pick up for us from Rishikesh. The ride was comfortable and beautiful. When you get to the resort you suddenly get disconnected from the world. We couldn’t place ourselves on the map once we got here. It felt so remote.

Checking in was an experience in itself.

There was a sanitisation station, they asked us to wash our hands nicely and then stand in sanitiser mist to get cleaned up. There were drums and bells playing while we entered. We were welcomed with sandal tilaks, stoles and beads mala with bhrangi welcome drink (which was delicious and we had it first time in life)

We were showed around the property and taken to our room which had such an amazing view! In our balcony we were greeted some local monkeys, as we are in a national park, wildlife is expected (pro tip: don’t feel the monkeys with food or attention).

In the two day stay, we had great food. The staff is so helpful and always smiling. Food has this flavour that makes one feel loved. Satvic food, no onion or garlic, very light and OMG SO DELICIOUS!

My experience at veda5 has been so wonderful and I m so touched by there hospitality. When I entered to the property I was welcomed by Mr Deepak with a traditional style. Angana the main girl at concierge walked with me to the room and on our way she so calmly explained me everything regarding this property, The room which they offered me had a spectacular view and it was very hygienic.

The quality of pure vegetarian food was so so good as it was all organic from there own vegetation and was so filling & delicious that I use to end up having 2 to 3 servings all the time. All thanks to Chef Ashok ji and Chef Divender ji.

Coming to the therapies I had the best massages and specially the potli massage is so so good. I would like to mention about Vishal who manages the spa is so calm and polite and he has so much knowledge regarding everything.

Veda5 has its morning to evening routine where they start your day with yoga then continues with many activities and ends with peaceful meditation and therapies.

In totality it was beautiful and outstanding retreat. And best fusion of wellness and rejuvenation.

This was my first trip to Rishikesh and due to this pandemic we were little more cautious about the place and hygiene. Veda5 is up on mountain and is very peaceful and beautiful property.
Personal recommendation for everyone planning holiday in Rishikesh and surely this will remain in memories for long. Plan to spend at least 3 days to feel the aura and vibes of this beautiful place.
Food is pure vegetarian and non oily and chef is very courteous and humble. Rooms are neat and tidy and all rooms have mountain view .
There are plenty of daily activities to keep you busy with yoga , meditation, surprise games , cooking class etc etc .
Best part are the Ayurveda and naturopathy therapies , never knew that Ayurveda therapies can be so relaxing and effective. Must try😇.
As you climb up there is small village theme which is awesome and view is just breathtaking. There are rabbits, cows, and dog Ferry up there.
Our stay was beyond words, will definitely come again for holidays.

We were a large group that stayed at Veda5 for 2 nights. Our very first impression of the place was the incredible guest service that was bestowed upon us. What came across was how genuine the care was. The staff here has their ears open to the guests' needs. Even before I could turn my head, my wish was granted.

The rooms are authentically designed to reflect the local Himalayan culture and maintained well. Care with thoughtful details from copper jugs to cups and wall decor make you feel at home. The magnificent mountain views from every room invites you to sit in the balconies and slip into a meditative mode.

The Ayurvedic sattvik meals and the ambience in the dining room is what we looked forward to at every meal. Every dish was cooked with a lot of thought and care and tasted heavenly. Not once did anyone in our large group consisting of diverse age groups find anything to complain about.

The yoga instructors were very friendly and attentive but the quality of yoga and style of teaching needs to be improved.

Activities like trekking, Yoga, meditation, New Years eve were all well organized and lot of personal involvement by the staff made it very memorable.

Special mention to some of the staff members who made our holiday very memorable.

Thank you to the reception staff, Chef Ashok, Supervisor Himanshu Mawadi, Trekking Priyansh, Wellness Manager Megha, Transport In charge Rajesh, Driver Rajesh amongst many others...
This resort is what it is because of each and every employee's personable care towards their guests.
Thank you Veda5

Veda5 was like a dream, an oasis in India. Just a 25 minute taxi ride from Rishikesh you find an Ayurvedic Retreat where you can follow yoga classes, cooking classes, meditiation, Ayurvedic treatments & massages. All of the highest standards.

Staff was plenty, delightful and professional, the food was amazing and they cater to any allergy or make special diets based on your program or treatment.

But besides the treatment thing it is a place with great rooms, amazing views, delicious food, varied yoga drop in classes and you can take a couple of massages to treat yourself :)

There were quite some guests there who extended their stay and we wish we could have too!

Great place to relax after a couple of busy days in Rishikesh.

Thank you Veda5 ❤️

The first hand experience of arriving at Veda5 set right in the midst of Raja Ji National Park surrounded by mountain was mesmerizing. Guest co-ordination Mr. Rajesh from Tapovan guided us very well in reaching this beautiful resort. From the car parking attendant to the warm welcome by Mr. Deepak at the front desk on our first night and getting the best available room allocated (9) was welcoming. Later in the night at the dinner Ms . Angana Khan ensured that all our requests at the dinner table are met and she along with Shivam made us feel very special & her smiling face and the to do attitude was kept along through the stay and will make us visit the resort again. The yoga guru Mr. Negi was very welcoming as well and showed us new yogic mantras and asanas , the Yoga Center was also very well maintained. The spa was good, therapist Mr Suman Prakash was well trained and certified and did a good therapy. Breakfast, Dinner & Lunch at the Anam Chef Devender & Shivam did a great job , every food dish was sumptuous. Cleanliness, hygiene & SOPs were very nicely followed. Sanitizers were available at all places. Luv at the front desk and housekeeping was very co-operative & courteous.
Overall the whole team worked religiously to keep all guests happy.

Wonderland!

Absolutely amazing experience! The resort is incredible, the staff is very welcoming, helpful and friendly. The entire property is stunning with big rooms and excellent view from the balconies. I booked a package which included both the breakfast and dinner which was ideal for us. For a hardcore vegetarian like me, they serve the best vegetarian food which is unexpectedly tasty. They also had special live music and cooking masterclass with the head chef who made delicious Paneer Tikkas.

The markets and main attractions of Rishikesh are located within 5-10kms. I personally went for the bungee jumping suggested by the reception staff at Veda5 which was another great experience. Loved the stay and overall experience. Looking forward to another stay at Veda5

Responded 29 Jan 2020
Dear Mr. Siddhant, Namaskar! Thank you for your wonderful review and we are glad that you had an amazing experience at our retreat. We are extremely happy that you liked our room, food and specially cooking masterclass. We take pride in serving balanced vegetarian cuisine with a lot of variety. The ayurveda menu has been designed by our in-house doctors keeping in view the calorific and nutritional values. At the same time, most of the leafy vegetables we serve are grown at our own organic farm in the retreat itself. Instead of sugar, we mostly use jaggery and the honey we serve is from our own honeybee project located up the hill. The detox tea is also prepared in-house by our experts. We look forward to welcoming you again at Wonderland Veda5!! Thank you & Stay Well, Team Veda5

Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun. You’d have to fly into Delhi and then get flight there. Or you can catch train from delhi also. If I was you I’d go flight given you’ll already be in an airport and then just arrange transfer through hotel. We organised our own transfer but then driver wouldn’t take us all the way as it’s outside rishikesh town so wished we’d just gone through hotel for ease- they were great!
