I was at the Parmath Niketan Ashram having a freezing cold stay in a filthy dirty room with a broken shower. I had to leave so I moved around the corner to the Raj Palace where I was welcomed and provided every service needed for comfortable stay in Rishikesh: excellent hot shower, clean room, a space heater, free internet to touch base with home, a nice yoga room to do my morning streches and meditation. The best thing was the service. Very responsive and kind. Very flexible checkin and checkout and they brought us tea, extra towels and blankets. The price is half of other hotels in the area near the Ashram.

It is a good Hotel at very good Location at Backside of Geeta Bhawan, near Ganga Ghaat, Ram Jhula and Taxi Stand for Neelkanth. Rooms of Hotels are also good. Cleanliness also good, but service was very bad. They don't provide extra Blanket for extra person, even Hotel manager was very rude.

Its nice to see some positive reviews appearing as when I booked my ticket to India and did the research on the Hotel I was put off. I informed my mother that the Hotel had bad reviews about cleanliness and my mother unpeturbed determined having stayed there before refused to change the booking. Sadly she came away with the view she wouldn't go back or get a better hotel. We stayed for ten nights and out of the ten nights we only know on two occasions the room being cleaned and bedding done it may have been one the other occasion gave us the impression this had been done. The rest of the time on a daily basis we had to ask for soap, towels and toilet roll. The hotel is good for the location which assisted us on this this trip, there is a decent restaurant which was good on the first night, the palak paneer and biryani and lemon soda was really good. There was no breakfast with the room so it was handy to order of the breakfast menu. Our days past quickly through activities to be affected by poor house keeping. There was one time the bathroom nearly flooded and the problem sorted itself out. The shower and wet room were nice but the shower head didn't work properly for hot water. I would recommend the hotel for the location and restaurant its a good hotel built well with good rooms. The staff work long hours and are obedient when you speak to them otherwise attitude issues and organisational issues at the hotel which very well may affect their performance. I think the lady responsible for cleaning rooms is lazy and lacks the attention required of the job. The rates we paid compared other three star hotel would put the hotel on a two star rating or budget hotel but even as a budget hotel from the rates and comparison to other three star hotels it should have afforded proper room cleaning and not the guest ordering the staff around.

Its an average hotel, but the room service was very good. That is the only highlight. The other aspect is that its closer to the ganga aarti venue. Just a 3-4 minutes walk. The reception formalities are also good. But overall I will rate this hotel as average.
