We love this place! -We've had 40+ visits over 23 years. I proposed to my wife in the Glitretind restaurant (fortunately she said "yes"). We spent our wedding night at Steins and we've been back multiple times per year, every year, since. Steins is the place we come to relax and unwind; where we come to play in the snow, on a mountain bike or in the pool and where family memories have been made. From the world-class dining, to the incredible spa, to the slope-side ski-in/ski-out experience, to the Champion's Club Arcade -To us, Steins isnt just a luxury mountain lodge, it's become OUR mountain lodge -our home away from home. Stein Eriksen Lodge is simply a legendary experience!
Where do I begin? What makes Stein Eriksen unique and head and shoulders above the rest? My family has been visiting SEL for several years in a row (because we love it so much), so I'm pretty familiar with it. Ski Valet Service! Not only do you get amazing ski-in, ski-out, but you also get professional ski valets who carry your gear to and from the ski lockers, put on your ski boots for you, carry your gear to the snow, and off you go. As far as skiing goes, this is pure luxury. Shawn, Juan, Daniel, David, and SeanToo spoil the heck out of you. World-Class Dining. Plenty of food options, from room service to fancy Glitretind to more casual and super cozy Troll Hallen Lounge, which sometimes has live music, to the Champions Club for families. There's a grab 'n' go coffee cafe as well. We've never had a bad meal. They can accommodate any food preferences or restrictions. I was impressed when the chef came out and spent some time with an orthodox Jewish family sitting near us and went over Kosher options. The chef was very knowledgeable. Wine, Wine, and More Wine. According to a Facebook post I saw, the "wine collection at Stein Eriksen Lodge tops over 18,000 bottles and more than 1,500 selections, totaling well over $1.5 million in value -- one of the largest in the state." The wine list is 89 pages long (tip: study it on their website before your meal) and features wines from several French and Italian wine regions (my favorites) as well as many other countries. If you have trouble deciding, one of their sommeliers will help you out. If wine is not your speed, they have plenty of craft beers and cocktails too. Something for Everyone. Obviously, if you're considering Deer Valley, you already know about the world-class skiing. Whether or not there's fresh powder, DV is always 100% skiable thanks to excellent grooming and snow production (when needed). Though the spa locker room is temporarily closed due to COVID, there's still 2 heated swimming pools and 2 jacuzzis, which are never really busy. Many of the guest rooms and suites have hot tubs on the balcony as well. The Champions Club is great for kids of all ages and parents alike with skee ball, arcade games, a huge Pac Man game, etc. All free, no coins needed. Two family movies are played nightly in the Freestyle Theater, which apparently not many people know about, so it ended up being our own private movie theater. Excellent Service. Whatever you want, it's yours. As you would expect at a luxury resort, all staff are well trained and highly professional. We've been coming to Stein Eriksen for several years now and have gotten to know some of the longtime staff, and they remember us. We feel Stein is much more personable and intimate than the big Montage and St. Regis (the other big resorts in Deer Valley). Scandinavian/Alpine Ambiance. While the other resorts in the area (Montage and St. Regis) are modern and sort of generic feeling, Stein Eriksen has a gorgeous old-school ski lodge motif that really puts you in the mood for skiing. You feel like you're in another world. COVID-Conscious Protocols. I felt like they were following appropriate COVID protocols with sanitization, distancing/spacing, hand sanitizer available everywhere, masks required, etc. Currently (January 2021) the resort is pretty empty so a great time to visit. I could go on but will leave it here. Stein Eriksen Lodge is just amazing. Go.…

Stein is the best! We love how family friendly the resort is. Between the pool, arcade games and movie theater there is so much to keep my kids entertained! We can’t wait to go back and experience more fun!
Stein Eriksen Lodge is by far our favorite spot to have a "staycation". Staff is always amazing, food is incredible, amenities are over the top and we can't get enough of it. We will be back soon, already looking forward to it!!
We have come up to Stein for quite a few years for the 4th of July to spend time as a family. We are never disappointed. Amazing service from everyone, great pool and place for the kids to play and as always amazing food!! We love coming here and will keep coming back.
Our family has gone to the 4th of July barbecue the last 8 years and it never disappoints! The food and atmosphere are phenomenal! They have so much variety and have lots of options for food allergies and preferences. The pool and game room are always a big hit for kids and the food in the game room is fantastic for families even with picky eaters. They have pizza, salads, wings, chicken fingers, burgers, etc. The services and atmosphere at Stein Eriksen are second to none. We can’t say enough good things about this place!
We came out to Stein Eriksen Lodger for the 4th of July weekend and had a great time. The room was incredible and had a hot tub on the deck which was great for some evening relaxation after the kids were down. The swimming pool was great and has both a typical pool and a kid's pool, which our kids loved. Right next to the pool is a game room to keep the family entertained all day and get a break from the sun. The 4th of July BBQ was fantastic with great views from the deck. It had a wide range of delicious summer foods so there was something for everyone. I will definitely be taking my family back to Stein Eriksen Lodge again!
Family vacation at Stein Eriksen Lodge was fabulous! Pool time was relaxing, fun with yummy food served poolside. The staff was attentive and took care of us from the moment we arrived! Champions Club entertained kids and adults with all the video games, so much fun! And spa time was a 5 star experience! The massage from Amy was the best I have ever had! 4th of July BBQ was beyond fabulous! 16 people for the BBQ and everyone enjoyed their favorite foods! Fun atmosphere, great service and over the top scrumptious food!
