We loved Willow House. The Casitas are contemporary and the bed was very comfortable. The staff was terrific, attentive and professional. We also enjoyed the main house and the atmosphere it provided. We would absolutely stay there again!
We stayed at Willow House earlier this week and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The setting is secluded, yet we were only a few minutes from the entrance to Big Bend and a few minutes the other direction to Terlingua Ghost Town. It is a great location if you are planning a trip into the park. Jason, who manages the property, was so welcoming and helpful at all times. The kitchen had EVERYTHING we needed. The sunrises and sunsets were beautiful and the property had many places (indoor & outdoor) to just sit and enjoy the surroundings. They do not allow pets, which I really appreciated. I know everyone loves their furry friends, but I don't like staying places where other people's pets have been laying on beds, etc; We will be going back for sure!
WE went to Big Bend National Park to see the stars, sunrise and sunset, but due to the full moon we missed it all. Oh, well, we tried and had a great time anyway. The rooms are small, but nicely appointed and set up, so you can see the sunrise/sunset if it were available at other times. They have a central kitchen and supply coffee, tea and condiments, you supply every thing else. It does seem to work. It is expensive, but so are other places in the area. Like most national park areas around the country, it's isolated, and you don't have a lot to chose from. It's lovely and just have a great time.
The design of each room is to give you a great view of the mountains and desert, especially amazing during sunrise. The beds were extremely comfortable, rooms were very clean, and the bathrooms were stocked with great shampoo and bodywash.
Exceptionally stylish living in rural west Texas. I saw two casitas - different decoration, but equally stylish. Well appointed with the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in. The main room, while unusual, was a great way to meet other travelers and offered a large kitchen. You’ll appreciate the kitchen because there are few alternatives in Terlingua or in the park. On-site manager was very friendly and accommodating. If I come back to big bend, I’ll stay at Willow House again even if rooms are available in the park.
