We traded our timeshare through Interval International for a week at Tanglewood Resort. We opted for a two bedroom condo. The one bedroom king bed condo would have been plenty. The check-in process was quick and easy. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable.
The one bedroom condo was one of the largest condos that we have visited. The kitchen was well stocked. Furniture was nice. Each condo came with a balcony. Bed was comfortable.
The resort was close to the lake, and it is probably lake event oriented in season. In January, not much was happening. There are lots of other things to do.
We will come back again in warmer weather.

We visited Tanglewood Resort the week of 5/11/2020. During this uncertain time of panademic my husband and I debated about coming to Texas to visit our siblings, We chose to proceed with our visit and glad that we could trade into this resort. have a place of our own place to stay. We were very happy to see the lengths Tanglewood went to make the visit possible by being extremely vigilant with the sanitizing procedures they have in place. that keep their guests safe. We were greated by very personable staff, we were treated kindly. When we arrived at our unit we were very pleased at the accommodations which were very spacious, updated and cozy. The bed that we slept in was very soft and comfortable. We were unable to explore the grounds as it was rainy and our time was spent visiting both Oklahoma and Dallas areas. ( this property was in a location that allowed my husband and I to visit our siblings, while having the privacy of our own place). Overall our only regret is that we did not have time to enjoy the gounds and all his property had to offer. We will be visiting this resort again.

I work for a utility construction company in Tulsa Ok. We wanted to plan a guided fishing trip for our staff and sought out places to stay for the weekend. From the very first phone call I had with Teresa her expertise shined through. She was able to get us 28 rooms at an excellent price, advised us on a company we could use for transportation to the lake so our staff didn’t have to worry about driving, and helped us set up a lovely banquet dinner in one of their conference rooms. We had zero issues at check in, and dinner went according to plan. I highly recommend Tanglewood for any family gathering or corporate event. My children couldn’t stop talking about how much they enjoyed their weekend and wanted to know when we could go back! 10/10!

To ensure a successful retreat, it takes two people doing the heavy lifting. Teresa does do an excellent job. She has been with Tanglewood for over 20 years and there really is nobody that cares as much as she does. The other half is the company POC. You made it easy for us to succeed and we thank you for that. Building long term relationships is such a rewarding aspect of the hospitality industry. We are in Hotel and when room services came in they just changed towel and when I called front desk I was told that they will charge $75 for full service. It is no where in their website or when booked. Place is good but service sucks. Loose door knobs in rest rooms. I was not going to say anything but this room cleaning inefficiency made me do that. They will not even place shower cap and no salt or black pepper in kitchen. After spending $470/ day this kind of service really sucks. Looks like owner does not care , may be not profitable but they can not cut back services for excuse of Covid and still charges full price.

Mother’s Day weekend getaway during COVID 19 was a nightmare. Reported and took pictures of bed bugs. No manager on property. Housekeeping came hours later took the bugs and I never heard from them again. Luckily, we took pictures of the bugs we had the misfortune of sleeping with. After several calls and emails, John nor any Management staff never returned calls and emails sent. Do NOT stay here. Customer service is poor and apparently they only cater/respond to a very selective customer type.

We're currently staying here. But our stay up until this point has been very disappointing.
1) I called the day before we arrived to get any information we may need for our stay. The lady I spoke to told me everything was open, we just had to make sure we were distancing ourselves from others. I specifically asked about the pool and she assured me that when we arrived, the pool would be open. When we got here, we were handed a paper that said the pool was closed. I completely understand not being able to open but please don't tell us it will be and then it not be.
2) We got checked in and got in our room. We had reserved a lock out. One side of the condo was fine, the other side however had not been cleaned. There were dishes in the sink, bedding on the floor and a bag of hot cheetos on the bathroom counter. When I called the front desk to inform them, the first time I was hung up on, the second time I waited on hold for 10 minutes just for the front desk to tell me they would call me back. I told her I would not accept a call back, my room was dirty and needed immediate attention. A few minutes later we were called back and they told us we would need to move. The gentleman told my husband "it happens"..... well yes things do happen but when I pay the amount of money I paid for this place, I would expect a little higher standard.
3) After staying 2 days out of 7, we returned today to all our keys being deactivated. We were tired and hot and ready to relax but couldn't because we couldn't get into our room without another trip to the front desk.
4) The website clearly states that the front desk sells lake texoma fishing license so since we had to go down there anyway, we thought we would get ours for our fishing trip scheduled for tomorrow. The lady at the front desk wouldn't sell to us. So we had to make an additional 10 minute trip into town to get the fishing license.
5) We have found several things to be not working. The water in the second bedroom bathroom bathtub doesn't work, the ice machine doesn't work, one of the tv remotes doesn't work. This is our yearly week long vacation and this is more stressful than being at home.
I'm hoping the rest of our stay is better, but so far we've been extremely disappointed

This was not my first visit & will not be my last. When you check in until you check out you are the number one priority of each & every staff member (I prefer to call them family members, as they are more of a family, and most are long term employees you will see upon your return visit, yes you will return). They treat you like family. Food was wonderful & plentiful. Cocktails were good & they tolerated the off beat humor of everyone in the group without batting an eye, even though we may have embarrassed our server more than once, his own fault for being so darn cute and such a good sport.
This is a great place to conduct conferences, meeting, family get aways, or a romantic get away with that special someone. They can accommodate groups large or small. They now have a 5000 square foot boat house that would be great for parties, or many different events.
You can even book an eagle watching cruise with breakfast, just call for details.
Are you a fisherman, call about guided fishing, Texoma is know for it's striper fishing, and recently there was an Catfish Tournament on the lake and Tanglewood was where a lot made their home away from home.
Golfer, no problem, check out the beautiful golf course, and after a roundof golf relax with a message at the spa.
Go ahead, call and book a stay, you won't be sorry.

We went up to Tanglewood Resort this week for a much needed break. We came home refreshed!! The property is beautiful, well cared for and only a one hour drive from our home. When I called to make the reservation I was helped by John S. In this time of social distancing, and sanitizing everything I look at, he listened to my concerns, and assured me of the steps they are taking to keep things safe. THANK YOU!! If you're needing a break, wanting to go somewhere beautiful, stay at a well run/clean resort, see the water, breathe deeply again (!!) , relax and enjoy, Tanglewood Resort is the place to go!! Thanks to John and all the staff who made our stay great!! It was a wonderful, much needed, stay. God willing...we'll be back!!

We just left after spending a week at this beautiful resort. Everything was wonderful! The young ladies at the front desk went out of their way to help us with whatever we needed. The dining room breakfast buffet was reasonable, fresh, and delicious along with being greeted by a very cheery and fun hostess. The 3 outdoor pools, the spa, and beautiful grounds and accommodations made for such a nice, relaxing vacation. The thing that really impressed us was the entertainment they had in the tower lounge (yes it's in a real tower!). Julian the Entertainer was such a wonderful surprise. He is not only incredibly gifted, but he was funny, entertaining, engaging, and truly supportive of any and all who dared to try karaoke. We had planned to just "check out the joint in the tower" because the entertainment at timeshares and hotels isn't always that great anymore but our entire party really enjoyed Julian's show. We ended up staying there for several hours.
As a 20 year timeshare veteran, I would highly recommend this resort. We'll definately be back.

Sandy S, make no mistake that this made Julian's day. He is a special person with a special talent. I own a timeshare myself and have made many exchanges to some very fantastic resorts and locations. I don't take your compliments lightly as I am sure you have had as well. These reviews are important for many reasons. One, giving someone a compliment where it is due shows your classiness. Secondly, there are others that are probably in need of guidance in where to go and this will no doubt give them some direction. I hope someone reciprocates in kind.

Took a retreat with a group of 60 quilters. This was our first retreat since Covid & couldn’t be more pleased with the precautions the hotel took to protect use but to make sure we had a wonderful time. The fireplace in the bar & grill was a warm , welcoming place to gather, laugh and just plain enjoy ourselves. While the pool are was closed due to maintenance & renovations we would not have been using it in January/February snow any way. Once again the staff(I prefer to refer to them as family) anticipated our needs & wants & provided them in a friendly , courtesy , efficient manner. The new owners have already done many improvements & more are underway. The tower bar, now known as the Whiskey Bar has been remodel to make viewing the lake even more enjoyable. I understand it offers live music on certain nights . Partake of spa treatments on site, you won’t regret it. Tanglewood Resort is an ideal location for a romantic getaway, family reunion ( plenty of condos to rent) , beautiful wedding venue available for a destination wedding without worrying about all the headaches of air travel. Check the website for special packages. Fun & activities available for all ages.

Hi there, the pools are not heated.
We have 3 pools: one for young children and two larger pools. It can fit quite a few people. We are currently renovating the pools which is expected to be completed by March 18 then the next project is the indoor lap pool and state of the art fitness center. ;) Come see us ;)
The resort says there is approximately a five mile drive to launch a boat. Yet you can see the water only a few hundred feet from the resort.
