The Mac Puerto Marina is located in Benalmádena, right next to the marina with its lively atmosphere and night life and with the best quality sandy beach at its doorstep. Rooms at the Mac Puerto Marina cater for all tastes. Rooms offer twin beds, en suite bathroom with bath and overhead shower, Wi-Fi, coffee and tea making facilities, hairdryer, make up mirror and bathroom amenities. Rooms offer views to the street, to the Andalusian courtyard or to the pool. We also have three family rooms with a separate lounge and one junior suite with separate lounge and a large terrace with sunbeds. The hotel offers a buffet style restaurant with great dishes and the option of breakfast only or breakfast and dinner (half board). Dinner is served in two separate sittings. There is a bar which serves also the Andalusian Courtyard and an outdoor pool bar offering snacks during the day. The hotel spa, inaugurated in February 2019 offers indoor heated pool, sauna, Turkish bath and two cabines.

First, the pool is much bigger than it looks on the pictures but the shallowest is 1.2 so more suited for adults and great for swimming. As others have said, the seating area around the pool is spacious with sunbeds and tables. The snack area is good value with VERY large portions! Had no problems with mattresses (as also reported). They are light but very comfortable. There are mozzies but all the rooms have mozzie curtains on the windows - just have to remember to keep them closed. We used the spa a few times. The pool has jets set for feet, knees, lower back and shoulders plus a waterfall. Sauna and steam room were always hot. I had a lovely facial. Breakfast choices did get a bit repetitive but still way more choice than home! Evening buffet was varied, even though hubby stuck to the rice pudding every night! Location. Nice flat walking in all directions with loads of choice for eating, drinking and people watching. Taxi rank just across the road. Great hotel location is perfect for walks to marina or Torremolinos which we did several times. Lovely friendly staff. Restaurant has a great selection, I’m veggie and had no issues finding plenty to eat which isn’t always the case on holiday. We didn’t eat out on this holiday which is unusual but testament to the food in the restaurant. We travelled with one child, she’s past the need for kids clubs (there isn’t any) etc so the pool and nearby beach was more than enough for us. Plenty of bars and restaurants nearby to suit all tastes. Would definitely return.

Firstly, the pillows are hard but not much can be done about that as replacements were the same, secondly, the price of drinks, these were really rather high which is a shame because everything else was spot on. On a positive note the hotel and staff were exellent. So friendly and accomodating. The dining room was very pleasant and welcoming as was the food and variety. There was always a good choice and very tasty, the desserts were to die for. Our room was fine, clean and basic with a fridge which was fine for keeping our drinks cold. A flat screen TV which showed BBC & ITV which was handy as we had a couple of rainy days. The entertainment at night was really very good, so good infact we stayed in each evening to watch it. Finally the Spa, such lovely young ladies so very helpful to us oldies, what a treat, an hour a day for free was spent in the pool being pummelled with the jets { bliss for those aches} and the steam room. As a wheelchair user who enjoys the sun I went back this year to Hotel Mac and stayed for 3 weeks. My room was large with a good size accessible toilet and a large outside terrace. The hotel is clean and very well cared for. It offers a wide range of meals at either breakfast, lunch or dinner. The restaurant staff, particularly Raff, Rachel and Billy couldn't have been more attentive or helpful. The front desk is always well manned and staff are fluent in English. I had great help with my booking from Jeronimo whose local knowledge proved so useful. The manager of the hotel was also a great help and was always available to talk with guests to make sure things went well during their stay. Outside the pools were easily accessed and the sun decks were large and accommodated guests without a squeeze. This year I enjoyed the wide selection of entertainment provided in the large lounge area, where waitress service added to the positive experience. Overall a great holiday, I will definitely return again. …

Hotel is in the perfect location , close to beach and Marina with lots of shops bars and restaurants . ALL the staff including reception and managers are so welcoming and polite , always greeting you with a smile , and made our stay so easy and stress free . The food is plentiful with a good variety and there is something for everyone . The rooms are quite large with everything you need included and are kept absolutely spotless by the cleaning staff , with bed sheets and towels changed everyday . All things considered it is an outstanding Hotel and we wouldnt hesitate in booking again should we be travelling to Benalmadena .

My wife and I recently spent 3 weeks at the Puerto Marina Hotel and have to say we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. All the staff we encountered were first class which obviously made our stay more enjoyable. Room was a good size and nicely furnished Quality and choice of food was excellent. We would stay there again Big shout out to Billy in the restaurant who goes out of his way to be friendly and courtious

We stayed here for three nights last week. The hotel is in a great location for all the lively bars and restaurants in the marina. The hotel itself was relaxed and the pool area was very chilled. There were no stampedes for sunbeds and there were always plenty of free ones. The pool area was very clean and the pool warm - even at this time of year. Very impressed. The room was fine - standard. Bed wasn’t the best as mentioned before - we really don’t like two beds pushed together and we kept falling down the gap! I should have said something as our friends had one large bed I think. The bathrooms were good - reasonable hairdryer too. Our room was in the shade (278) overlooking the pool which was perfect as it stayed cool. The bar was nice but not open for as much as we’d like. Certainly not late but it does keep the place quieter I guess. The pool bar is excellent and the lunch snacks and salads really good. The staff were super friendly and spoke English which was really helpful. Breakfast was fine - standard buffet with all that you’d expect. One negative point from our stay - my pool bag, sun creams and expensive earphones were stolen from either the pool area or our room. We can’t be certain but I can see that this has happened before. Advise using the safe for all valuables and being very vigilant by the pool. This was a shame and tainted our last day. Overall great value and service.…

The hotel is in a great location, close to the marina and beach. Lots of restaurants and bars nearby. We had a quiet room out the back which was nice as it was in the shade. I could hear the air-con from the room next door, constantly during the night. Hotel did say they would move us but every room has air-con so no point. Food was good and staff friendly. Lore in the restaurant was always smiling and happy. Nikos at the pool bar was also great. Cleaning would need to be reviewed as crisps lay on the marble steps (stairs ) for 24hrs leading from reception up to the first floor. Hotel is big and on different levels so no central point to sit and relax. A nice touch on arrival at reception was a choice of cava wine or orange juice.

The staff at MAC are all excellent… friendly, helpful and extremely pleasant. They made our holiday! The location of the hotel is perfect with everything within easy reach and lovely walks too. The hotel was very clean and had everything we could possibly want for a very pleasant stay.
