My family and I stayed for six days in a suite in this stunning hotel. As we entered our suite for the first time my wife started dancing, followed by my two boys. My 8yr old commenting "Well this is fancy!". We had arrived late due to train strikes from Paris to Saint Balins but were pleasantly surprised that dinner was still available. The restaurant is 5 star plus. The nightly menu's are delicious which makes it hard to choose and the breakfast is amazing. Choosing half board when booking the hotel was well worth it. The best till last would have to be the staff. Though we tried our best to speak some French the staff were more than happy to speak English. Thank you again Kaya. One of the best memories for me on our European adventure.
Perfect location- ski in ski out! The slopes in Les Menuiers are less crowded and very wode perfect for snowboard! Hotel Kaya has an amazing staff , english speakers and accomodating Will be back next uear for sure
Stayed for four nights on a ski break. Booked by our friends and they chose really well. Modern. Clean. Large rooms. Comfortable. Friendly staff. Great boot room and ski in & out. Great hotel. Buy a package with breakfast included as it is great, but non inclusive price typical of a high standard hotel. Would definitely recommend to anyone staying in Les Menuires and lots of choice even this high up for restaurants and bars.
We arrived at the hotel on Boxing Day to a very warm welcome. Ski hire worked out at around £100 per day for a family of 4. The bar was expensive but very cosy. Ski in & out was a tricky blue due to ice from the the lack of fresh snow. Pool area was nice after a day on the slopes.
I would NOT recommend to trust and rely on staff of Kaya Hotel. Our family of 2 adults and 2 kids spent holidays in Kaya in February 2020. My teenage girl had a birthday and we booked a table at the restaurant. Nice woman at the reception said that they will arrange candles and everything for our event. Could you imagine our astonishment when on the birthday the waitress came to us and instead of standard greetings "What would you like to drink" she said pointing to my kid "She has a birthday, but you haven't pre-ordered a cake,...so I can't put the candles in the cake". After a silence, when we sat with our eyes open, lectured and rebuked as kids, the waitress said ok, I will put them in the desserts. There could be only this complaint, but this is just the beginning(. After dinner we were awaiting for that special moment. Finally a boy came with the desserts and put them before us. We said it wasn't ours as we expected candles but there were none. At the same moment our waitress rushed in and insisted that it was our dessert. That was too much... and we didn't continue to ask why, to beg,... just went to our rooms. Whether she just forgot, or wanted to punish us that we didn't pre-ordered smth, we don't know. She could hardly understand the feelings of a kid, especially a teenager, who put on her best dress and was awaiting for any attention, congrats or just smile if not candles on her birthday. Though I definitely remember the name of a waitress, I deliberately don't mention her as I'm sure this is 100% fault of the management. I would recommend the management to create the atmosphere in the hotel when staff has passion for work but not just the desire to earn money during the fully booked high season. Only with that Kaya will be the ideal place, as there were really a lot we loved in this hotel: the way we were welcomed from the beginning, convenient room, balcony, view, ski-in/ski-out, ski room, warm! pool, 4 o'clock tea with cakes, quiet nights with no noise from neighbours, and so on...…
