I repeat - AVOID. How is this place even functioning? Or operational? Hilton needs to shut it down and re-open it. I travel all the time for work, have stayed at other properties and have status with multiple hotel flags. This place is disgusting. The staff is unbelievably rude. I called down about a few things, and the rudeness level was off the charts. The rooms are dated - but when I say dated, I mean, dated. Good luck if you want to adjust the air - it just blows non stop. Shower doesn't get hot - and drains don't work. The room next to me had bugs. Thank goodness this was for one night. When I checked out, I let them know about this, but nothing was done or offered. Just a "yeah." Stay anywhere else - I mean it.

My daughter’s school chose to stay at this hotel for their tournament. My daughter’s room got bed bugs all over her bed and she ended up getting a bunch of bites. Told hotel and they gave us attitude about it. We have video of the bugs crawling on the bed and we did show it to hotel receptionist. They told us that it takes a professional to identify bed bugs. They just want to denie it.

We are aware of the situation noted within your review and we hope you take comfort in knowing that upon this information being shared with our team, we immediately removed the assigned room from our active inventory to have the space inspected and treated by a third-party expert. While those tests came back negative for such activity, we had the room threatened in an abundance of care. The staff was rude from first entering to leaving, to the point of not wanting to even interact with them. The shower and sink would not drain and had a fair amount of water standing for hours after use.

I should have listened to the reviews. I thought as a Diamond member, it could be better. This hotel is disgusting. It’s run down, the AC in the rooms NEVER shut off (prepare for a windstorm all night) and the humidity and smell is beyond. Staff is not friendly - you’re an inconvenience beyond anything. Trust in the other reviews of this property and avoid it like the plague. It really should be closed and just completely redone.

The first room were assigned, smelled like something was rotting and raw sewage as soon as the door was opened! The desk attendant seemed to think I was lying. The A/C kept turning off in the next room that we got. It never became cool in the room. The A/C would just turn itself off without getting to the designated temp no matter how low it was set. This happen multiple times though the night. At one point I woke up sweating in the bed. The maintenance man said it had to do with faulty controls. This issue would not be rectified. To make things worse, when we asked for extra linen and pillows, we were denied and told none were available. We were unable to be moved to another room due to full capacity. This is not the quality that we expect from the Hilton organization. We have been part of the Hilton family for quite some time. This is absolutely the WORST experience we have ever had!

I was in Houston for a family wedding, I changed from the block of rooms they had at the Marriott to the Hilton because I am a member and I expect a certain level of cleanliness, and professionalism that I know I get from the Hilton. NOT THIS ONE. We arrived after 9pm on Saturday evening only to be greeted by a parking lot and lobby FULL of young adults. I asked the front desk attendant if there was a concert or show going on his response to me was its like this ALWAYS on Fri and Sat at the Double Tree. I said well are you having a special because my room was almost $200 a night with a Military discount. He said no we just hook people up when they need it. The only reason I even ended up at the desk was because my digital key would not work even after a resend 2x. I was greeted in the hallways with more T and A then I needed to see. The elevator and the hallways smelled like weed. The room was subpar at best. The blanket on one of the beds was dingy it wasn't even white anymore. There were what looked like makeup stains on them but I am not sure. I just used the other bed. The shower looked like it hadn't been clean the shower head was old and clogged it barely had any water pressure. The 2nd night I went down and asked for a clean set of towels. I was given 3 floor rugs and a wash cloth and hand towel. I was told that was all they had. I may not use my membership as many times a year as some people but I've been a member a long time and I am partial to Hilton's this was not what I expected at all.

Overall, I rate this hotel average. Location is great, but breakfast is amongst the worst I have experienced. Very limited and poor selection of breakfast. Room air conditioning and heating wasn't controlling well. Safe not working despite been replaced. Furniture and flooring looked dated and old. For family, it's a not recommended. For single person travelling alone, it is a maybe. The management can do a lot better. Thanks

This hotel is conveniently located next to the Galleria and is a very busy street. The staff are polite but not as responsive to fixing issues. It is very loud in the lobby, halls and throughout your stay. The rooms are old and not maintained very well. The carpets contain strong odors that are permanent. I would consider another property before staying.
