This is perhaps the most dreary, un emotional Marriott propery I've ever stayed in. As the title states, this hotel needs energy! From the moment you step into this giant attrium hotel, the life is sucked out of you. I get the Covid has dramatically curtailed occupancy, but ownership would be better shutting this place down than keep it open in this condition. From the dimmed or just off lighting, to the reduced food service and hotel amenities, to the soiled carpet and stained room ceilings, this property is just depressing. On the other hand, I was able to get a shoe shine from the wonderfully patient attendednt who stands there alone 5 nights a week. Odd that you can get a shoe shine, but can't get food at lunchtime. Oh well, I'm sure management has a plan. I won't be back to this pillar of despair.

Houston Marriott Westchase is a beautiful hotel. My initial room was nice however, coming back in late Thursday night/early Friday morning we noticed that the power was out. None of the elevators were working however luckily we were on the 3rd floor so not too many steps to walk up. Later on Friday while relaxing in my room I noticed that it started to get warm the A/C was set at 69 degrees however the room temp was saying 73 degrees...the A/C was on auto however it did not come on. While waiting for the A/C to come on the power goes out AGAIN! I called the front desk to ask if this occurs all the time I was told no, however I had to remind the front desk that it just previously happened. Once the power was restored I called the at your service desk to ask that someone be sent up to check the A/C. A half hour later no one from maintenance showed up to my room. I had to call AGAIN and request maintenance, finally someone shows up and checked a few things and told me they would return. Another 20-30 mins later when maintenance showed up they show up with the luggage cart saying we would have to move rooms because it was something that needed to be worked on in our room. Once we moved rooms it seemed like the newer room was even hotter! I was basically sweating as soon as I got out the shower. The room temp was higher than the temp for the room yet the air was not blowing. I went down to talk to the front desk again to let them know that the new room was hotter than the last and was told someone would come look at it and they could leave a fan or we could possibly change rooms again! That was out of the question I was not changing another room. Once I came back to the room the temp was ok but not like it should have been. One more treat before I left the hotel taking a shower on my last day there ended up being a cold shower because the water did not heat up! smh I love the Marriott brand hotel but this was not a good stay. I still don't understand why I was charged $12/day for parking! It should have been free!!!

Thank you for reaching out to us. We always want our guests' stays to be as comfortable and undisturbed as possible, so we're deeply disappointed to learn of the maintenance issues and room exchanges you dealt with. Certainly, these issues are not reflective of a typical experience at our property, and we sincerely apologize that our team failed to provide a satisfying resolution to the situation while you were still with us. I’ve stayed at this hotel now for the second time and as a disabled veteran it is very accessible and the beds are very supportive for those with back injuries. I truly recommend this hotel to anyone who comes to Houston it is literally the best experience I think I could ever have. I have stayed at many hotels in my lifetime this one is supreme! From the wait staff at the bar to the front desk plenty of smiling faces. Truly an experience to die for!

Checked in at 12:30am front desk was snarky. I was put on the fourth floor above the ballroom/convention area. Could not get the temperature comfortable in the room as someone else mentioned in their review. At promptly 7:30 am LOUD thumping music and a DJ woke me up. I got maybe four hours of sleep. Went to the front desk to complain was told there was a convention and that they would ask them to lower the volume. By that point I was awake. Doors do not swing closed in rooms you have to make sure they shut behind you. I won’t be staying here again

We had a horrible experience at Marriott Westchase Houston last week. We had 6 rooms booked for 6 families and at check in, had to wait for 3 hours to get our rooms. Once we went to the rooms, none of the ACs were working… temperature of the rooms varied from 78-84 degrees. The one cold place in the hotel was the main lobby. I saw several guests complaining about air conditioning not working but management had an attitude and response was we don’t have other rooms to it’s too hot outside. We were at another hotel the night before and were completely fine with air conditioning properly working. The 10th floor room had cardboards on the roof and air conditioning system of the hotel needs a lot of maintenance to work properly which seems like the management was not interested in at all! To compensate that, we were given breakfast coupon 1 coupon per couple and the next day after breakfast, they changed their minds and said it was only for 1 person so have to pay $40 for the 2nd guest! The manager at the hotel was full of attitude and made it look like our fault. Had to fight out way out to get that taken out from the room charge and several rooms were changed to better AC rooms but still the temperature of the room never went below 80F. This was the last time we stayed there and will never be going back again!

The rooms are fantastic. Problem started when I called the hotel to make arrangements for a business trip at the hotel. It was difficult to contact a person at the hotel, but when I did, they sent me to a third party to make the arrangements. Next my reservations were cancelled. So the organization contacted the hotel to verify and make arrangements for me and other personnel attending. Next some folks had to wait hours for their rooms that were supposedly ready. A few of the folks had drainage problems in their rooms. All the hotel did was tape the drain on the tub and told them not to use it. Our meal at the hotel on the last day was late. Also, the steak was very dry and tough. The meals for the other day were chicken and they were OK. I have never had this much problem with any hotel I have stayed in. I will avoid this hotel in the future. There are plenty of capable hotels in the area.

We visited this hotel for a dance convention, and by the time the girls were done dancing, we were too tired to leave the hotel to eat. The waitress, Victoria, was incredibly accommodating. She went as far as to set up a large table in a private room for us so that we could all eat together with our daughters. She did a great job, handling a large group, keeping all the orders straight and separating the checks for us as well. Highly recommend dinner at this restaurant especially if Victoria is your server!

I recntly stayed at the Westcashe Marriott for a quick business meeting. I have stayed at this particular hotel several time before.

The hotel is nice, modern with an atrium style building. The interior was inviting and modern. The room was typical Marriott quality, quiet with comfortable beds. The bathroom was quite small, but very clean.
The hotel seems worn and dated ijn some areas and could do with a small makeover.
I ate at the hotel resturant twice. Food service was obviously not a great priority at this hotel. There is one restaurant, fairly small, with a limited menu. Not very busy at all, but service was slow. Restaurant is not open all day, which was surprisiong. Guests arriving mid-afternoon have no meal options. The breakfast buffet wasz good, with no cooked to order options, like a omelette station, and was over priced at $22.95, quite high compared to most large Marriotts I have stayed at recently Otherwise the food was very good. I also saw room service delivered to a neighboring room. It seemed to be dekivered in a bag, no dishes, I was a bit surprised. There was no printed hotel information or room sevice menu in the room. It may have been available throught TV.

It is wonderful that our modern comforts in our ideal location elevated your travel experience. We are happy we could offer you a delicious breakfast but we understand the rates were not your favorite. We will indeed talk this over with the restaurant. We have tried to eliminate frequently touched items in our guest rooms to promote the health and safety of our valued guests. Feel free to ask our team about any information you need, such as that menu. We hope you can return soon to Houston Marriott Westchase. We are eager to win you over completely!

In the 6 nights I’ve stayed at this hotel 3 employees have really stood out. Maya was absolutely amazing with my son with disabilities, and James went far out of his way to make sure we were properly accommodated on both occasions. Brenda, one of the managers, is a compassionate and patient person the property is very blessed to have. She worked with me through an issue non related to the hotel, by being more accommodating at the hotel and I’m forever grateful! Definitely recommend, breakfast is worth it especially if you book on sites that give you a discount. It’s never crowded and always fresh! The only downfall to this hotel is the transition between the indoor outdoor pool. The netting is rough and not seamlined, kind of tacky. But I’ve gone here since I was a child and that was always something exciting to see!
