It had been nearly 3 years since I had been to the Hyatt Regency Galleria. It was so wonderful to see Gladys at the front desk. She was a welcome friendly face and her customer service is always top notch! Typically I do not sleep well the first night in a hotel, but I slept like a baby both nights. I highly recommend this hotel and will be back!
Great location, so close to all the Galleria Mall restaurants and shops. We had a nice room with a view and an oversized shower. The breakfast buffet is delicious and the staff is super attentive. Really recommend at every level
To start with, I arrived during thanksgiving night. After waiting for good 15 minutes, we found someone at the check in desk. They kept saying only they are there to help as it was short staffed ( I felt bad for the lady at the desk). Finally checked in but told us that the complimentary water bottles are out and asked me to come and pick it up like 3 hours later ( which I didn't care for). Valet parking wait times were pathetic and chaos. Given they are charging good amount for daily valet parking, my expectation was it would be seamless but it was not. Management should solve the issues with short staffing at front desk and chaos at valet parking. I am giving two stars since the room we stayed in was clean but overall experience was terrible.
I used a suite reward and was promised a suite but when I arrived my suite was given away to a wedding party. I was told the general manager would contact me and She/He as not contacted me. My globalist status didn’t make a difference. Horrible customer service. Management is non-responsive.
Nov16th - arrived to check-in. checked WOH app and website for hotel and suite was available. at check-in, spoke to front desk agent and he said to me that suite was "not available" at check-in, despite me showing that the website shows suite was available. Agent told me to check in with him the next day. Nov 17th- arrived to room after conference during the day approximately at 5-6pm. Spoke with same agent again and he said he would "look into it". Arrived to room and TV was not working and said that we were "checked out". Called front desk and spoke to different agent and she informed me that "we were in the wrong room and that we should have gotten the suite yesterday". Moved our belongings to our new room that night and the shower water was cold. We left water on for 15-20 minutes and it was still cold. Sink water was cold. Went to speak to manager, Farrah, downstairs and explained everything to her. She was very attentive to our needs and made me feel like she cared and I'm sure she did. She said she would submit us for 8,000 points for our inconvenience and told engineer would check our room tomorrow morning. Nov 18th - arrived to our room in the evening again. Asked front desk agent if engineer checked our room and it was never passed on. Engineer apparently never went to our room. Engineering arrived to room an hour later and hot water was working all of a sudden. Nov 19th - no issues this day. no points placed in WOH account yet. asked manager to update and she said the points are pending approval Nov 20th - asked again on point status and they are still pending approval. We have checked out this day. Nov 21st - Post check out, called front desk for 30 minutes, and NO ONE was answering. attempted to call at various times during the day and evening. Called one more time and spoke to front desk agent and they first greeted me on the phone by saying "we are very busy right now". I was shocked at how they initially greeted me!! I have globalist free breakfast and was still charged approximately $19 from the kitchen and explained this to her and she said to me "call the kitchen manager" and transferred me to the kitchen. Of course, the kitchen did not answer. Nov 22nd - called 10 times again and no Answer AT ALL. This was the WORST Hyatt experience I have ever had. I have never been treated like this as a globalist before and Hyatt is the ONLY hotel chain that I choose to stay at. My Hyatt credit card still has a charge of $18.26 and no one has addres…
They will start cleaning up around you if a large group is gathered in the lobby at 11 p.m. Strictly a hotel for the business traveler. Sports fans should find a place where they can enjoy each other after a big win because 11pm the bar and restaurant close down. You have to anticipate your crowd as to not run out of food and don't get mad when they order food to be delivered.
Perfect location. Close to everything. Sleek, modern look. Very efficient cleaning from HSKP. Front desk could have definitely been more attentive and less dismissive, but all in all it was a very worthwhile stay and I’ll be back again.
My room was phenomenal. Clean, temperature was perfect. The bathroom was great. The Hyatt has always been my favorite especially because of the free breakfast but this particular Hyatt definitely spoiled me with the amazing view and the bar on the first floor. Will definitely book this hotel again any chance I get.
This is the best hotel in the Houston Area. I have stayed for many times during visits to Houston. Stepping through the lobby, i am immediately struck by the beautiful and friendly reception area. Farah and Her Team, Ms Gladys are truly amazing and always welcoming. I love new lobby redesign, airy and very spacious and very welcoming atmosphere. The staff throughout the hotel were very professional, friendly and extremely helpful. They always greeting and smiling to us. The location of the hotel is great, right opposite the Galleria. The room was very spacious and well equipped with all essentials and fantastic view. I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to tourists and business people. I am extremely amazed by the entire Valet team very friendly and helpful to me through all my visits. Will be back to this place soon. Thank you to you all. …
Excellent Place to stay and it's in a great location. If you like shopping, the mall is in walking distance. Hotel was clean and customer service was outstanding. Will be booking this hotel when I return to Houston.
