Great service, I went to the hotel restaurant and I loved the customer service. My server was Norma Martinez and she did an exceptional job being kind, gentle, and profesional. The food was great, I definitely recommend this place to visit! Ask for Norma Martinez she’s a great server
We stayed at Hilton-Americas for Comicpalooza, which we have done several times in the past. Despite the challenges and labor shortages of COVID, the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. They have surpassed their prior level of excellence. A big shout out to Norma in the 1600 Bar + Grill. She took stellar care of us for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, as well as breakfast the following morning before checking out. Notwithstanding working the full day, she always had a smile on her face and remembered us and greeted us warmly. The food was delicious as well. The hostess also worked all day on that Saturday and remembered us and greeted us warmly each time we came to dine. Although Norma and her colleague at the hostess stand set the pace, the entire staff was amazing as well. Kudos to the entire team and thank you for a great weekend.…
This was an amazing experience. Very clean, very organized, very professional. The staff was amazing, especially Ms. Glenda at the concierge. She was fantastic. She deserves a raise. She was very fantastic in providing amazing service and making us feel like family. She went above and beyond to make us feel very comfortable here. Definitely will come again.
Our family just returned from trip that included a four night stay at Hilton Americas Houston. We could not have been happier with the experience and highly recommend for families staying in the area. The pool and hot tub was quite the hit with the kiddos and the entire family for that matter. The view of the skyline was an added bonus out the window. It was not busy at all — with the pool entirely to ourselves one evening. We were also quite happy with hotel perks for diamond members. One of our two rooms was upgraded at checkin and both rooms were in close proximity. Further, full buffet breakfast was complimentary at the 24th floor executive lounge (which was quite amazing itself) as well as snacks and beverages later in day. And we were given a daily voucher for free appetizer and non-alcoholic beverage per person at lobby bar. Overall, this is one of the best hotel stays we have ever had. Definitely would recommend highly!…
Checked in with Daniel L . During houston marathon weekend . DANIEL L was super nice and very polite during check in. What a way to start a great weekend! Thanks Hilton Americas. He explained everything very politely and on point. Thank you HILTON AMERICAS
This was my second stay at this property. The convenience of their location (attached to the GRB Convention Center) is unbeatable. However, the benefits don't end there. This hotel is very clean and comfortable, and I felt safe - you must use your keycard or digital key to access the guestroom floors. All of the employees I encountered were very friendly, courteous and helpful. I had the breakfast buffet two different mornings and it had a wonderful assortment of breakfast items. Everything was fresh and delicious. The executive lounge is comfortable and has a great view. Although I did not use the pool or hot tub on this visit, I did note that the area was very clean. The rooftop open air lounge area is also very nice. I would absolutely stay here again.
The hotel is very centrally located, next to the convention center and Toyota center. It’s right downtown. Lots of food and bars nearby. The hotel itself is very nice and huge!!! My room was large, as was the bathroom. Clean and ready for my arrival. The gym was very nice! Great views and very large which is SO nice. I get tired of cramped hotel gyms with no space and shotty equipment. They had so many treadmills, ellipticals, machines, weights, chilled towels… even a peloton (1). The pool is pretty big too! It is indoors but has a great view and also has a lovely sitting terrace right off of it, outdoors but covered. The breakfast was great!!!! Loved the executive amenities. One thing I will note- I used the microwave (in the common area of each floor) and they had sanitizer wipes out to encourage people to clean up after themselves- love it! But there was no trash can to be seen so I had to take my used sanitizer wipes back to my room with me? A small trash can hidden in the corner would be very thoughtful and helpful. Overall, well done.…
We (my husband and 2 little girls) visited Houston over Christmas and stayed here for 5 nights. We were confused as to where the entrance of the hotel was and wound up on the wrong "side" of the building. Some signage pointing us to the other side would have been helpful. When we pulled up, one of my daughters took a terrible fall flat on her face and onto the pavement after falling out of the car. The valet worker who was standing there stood there and grinned/giggled and did not offer assistance despite the fact we were clearly pulling up to check in. I grabbed my daughter and took her into the lobby to get cleaned up while my husband unloaded the car with an employee, who wheeled the cart into the hotel and left it at the front desk. Husband went to park with other child. I approached the front desk to check in and when I asked for a bellhop to take us upstairs (as we had several pieces of luggage and my daughter was distraught), she flatly said, "We don't have bellhops here." Given no alternative. (I subsequently discovered this was a lie as I saw bellhops and there is even a bellhop desk.) I am a Diamond Member, which was not acknowledged either. I wound up pushing the cart myself with my crying child. To make matters worse, the employee told me to take use a particular elevator bank which wound up being the wrong elevator bank, and so our walk around the floor to get to our connecting rooms was endless. Be aware that the hotel is inconsistent on accepting deliveries; we had a delivery set up through Instacart to arrive close to our expected arrival time and the hotel turned the delivery person away despite our having done online check-in and we missed out on some vital supplies we had relied on with no apology, just a chaotic and inconsistent response from the front desk. We always get deliveries at hotels and it is never an issue - this was literally a couple of bags. If this is a "real" rule, it should be clearly stated in the booking. We also messaged the front desk through the Hilton app well in advance that we were expecting this delivery and no one responded that it would be an issue. (I did see a warning in the booking confirmation that they don't send delivery people upstairs, but we simply expected the front desk to hold two bags for our pending arrival, which they knew.) During our stay, I appreciated the chat feature on the Hilton app VERY much (especially Betty and Amber, who were both very nice), particularly since when I tried to call to the front desk, the phone often rang and rang. I appreciated the executive lounge and the breakfast served there. My kids liked the pool. The bed was super comfortable. Housekeeping was generally good but on a couple of occasions I had to ask repeatedly for a restock of body lotion and paper coffee cups. I don't know if the hotel was overwhelmed by the Ol' Miss team there for the Texas Bowl that week, but being that this is a hotel attached to a convention center, I assume this is not the hotel's first rodeo dealing with a busy situation. I found errors on our folio and am still waiting for a response from management.…
The hotel is spacious and inviting, everything you would expect from a downtown Hilton. I chose it for its location on Discovery Green, but what really wowed me was the indoor pool on the 24th floor. This was one of the largest, cleanest, warmest indoor hotel pools, with a fantastic view of the city. Kids loved it!
Hilton Honors Diamond member here.. Run down (average) Hilton with terrible service. Room and bathroom are small, hotel is crowded and there is barely any service. Digital Key doesn't work, there are over 25 people in line to check in with 1 agent. Called hotel number twice and rings indefinitely, no one answers. Zero amenities for Diamond members, everyone gets access to executive lounge with zero amenities (paid bar only). No upgrade and don't even have drinking water. Can't wait to leave. You've been warned.
