We traveled to Houston for a gymnastics meet and opted to stay near the Galleria because the area seemed safer. We loved the Embassy Suites and all of our friends who were also in town for the meet were impressed by the hotel when they stopped by as well. We will definitely return next year.

I absolutely love Embassy Suites Hotel and have stayed at many in a few different states, but this one has twice proven to be the bottom of the litter based customer service. It is not with all of the employees, but it usually only takes one or two to sour one's experience.

This is actually the second time within twelve months of my family staying at this location, and both times the customer service of at least one employee was not up to par. Th first time didn't directly involve me until I stepped to assist a family with a special needs daughter who was being harassed by the "acting manager on duty" who lived on property. The family was so helpful because the man eventually backed down as I started to talk to him about state and federal law regarding these matters. The next morning he offered an apology and I graciously accepted it, but the incident should have never occurred.

During this stay, the bartender was absolutely rude during the happy hour upon our arrival. My husband and I got two glasses of wine, but we didn't like the Copper Ridge brand (a better selection is warranted, even compared to other hotels within the brand). I went back to request another drink just before she stopped serving happy hour customers and she told me I could only have one drink for the entire service and then told me to read the sign. I did read the sign and of course you all know that is not what it says. She told me to talk to her manager who happened to be nearby, so I did. Long story short, I was correct in my understanding and then I believe she spit in the mixer as she began to make my drink. She either spit or blew in it, which is still inappropriate. I didn't make a scene, took the drink, and went to nearby Pappas Burgers.

Thank you for for showing interest and fixing the customer service at that property.

I would give this hotel 5 stars if that wasn’t deceiving due to it being a bit older facility. The service was 5 stars. I spent lots of time looking at reviews before we went and was feeling a bit nervous about the decision to stay here, but as a family with two small kids this was perfect.

We stayed in a one-bed and sofa bed room. We were able to get an early check in, the room was clean (bathroom a bit dated but knew that coming in), the breakfast was fabulous for being included, and the happy hour reception was just what two parents needed to make it actually feel like a vacation while our kids ran around the lobby/ground floor. The cleaning staff was late coming to our room (around 3pm) but any time we called to ask for anything (extra towels, bedding and pillows for sofa bed, etc) they brought it right away and triple checked if there was anything else we needed.

There was only one working elevator, but the wait time was never terrible.

Again, as a parent - having the door to separate the bedroom and sofa bed area was a lifesaver. And the service was excellent. My kids didn’t want to leave - mostly because breakfast at home isn’t as good as the hotel :)

Don’t know if we’ll ever be back in Houston but we’d stay here again in a heartbeat.

I spent only one night in this place and overall it was good. I did have a couple problems with things I shouldn't have but they weren't bad enough to ask for another room. The lobby opens into an atrium as most Embassy Suites building do. They have a couple gorgeous swans that live in the fountain there. I'm sure housekeeping loves cleaning up after them but they are quite beautiful.

This building is not young. In the rooms they provide table lamps with outlets for your laptop, cell phone or whatever you bring. Good luck getting anything to make connection in those outlets. They have been used until there is no spring tension left, and the only way to get power to your device is by holding pressure on the plug. These things are beyond worn out, and there are a tiny few other places to plug in something in the room.

In the closet threshold for room 500 there is something sticking up that will puncture a foot. I looked for it and couldn't find it, but it's certainly there. Both myself and my guest were impaled by this thing, which is probably something holding the carpet still.

I checked in with digital key all the way and I liked it. Sadly the stupid virus pandemic has left the property providing no food or drink at all. The atrium felt like the inside of a barn with no employees or guests in the facility.

The rate was great and overall I'd stay with this property again. The problems I had were minor, and if I'd asked them to do something about it I'm sure they would. I can recommend this to another for what this brand intends to be. There was no charge for parking although some reservation sites report they charge $25.

My husband and I wanted to take a small family staycation in town. With this hotel having an indoor pool and in town it seemed perfect. The hotel itself was lovely and seemed to be what we wanted. However, that did not last long. The pool was dirty and cloudy. There were MANY other guests there also that were loud and disruptive. There were a group of other guests yelling across from the 4th floor to their friends on the 1st floor lobby. There was loud music blasting from the parking lot in what seemed like a party group outside in the parking lot. My husband (luckily not my 3yr old) stepped on either a nail or staple poking out from the carpet. Amidst the pandemic we can all be overly cautious as to whether our rooms have been thoroughly and properly cleaned, however, making our bed the next morning, we found a pair of women’s underwear on the floor at the foot of our bed. Making us question if our room was even cleaned and sanitized before our stay.
We spoke with the manager to which was not apologetic and very stand offish and also refused to issue a refund for our stay as we booked our room with our “friends and family” discount.
I highly do NOT recommend this place.
Spend the extra money and go elsewhere.

The Embassy Suites Galleria area is perfectly positioned across the street from the wonderful Galleria Mall. It is fairly a bargain considering the other hotels that cost twice as much for basically the same room that I’ve already stayed at as a guest, such as the Marriott and the Westin that are both extremely close to this hotel and the Galleria. The restaurant selection available is tremendous! Many tasty choices abound. The breakfast at the Embassy Suites is one of the most hearty and delicious breakfasts available anywhere, bar none.

Nice hotel and excellent location. Hotel is in desperate need of updating, the WiFi is barely serviceable even the “Premium” WiFi was not any better. The pillows were terrible, but the bed was nice. The evening reception was ok, the best part was the complimentary mixed drinks, the breakfast was pretty good.

Such a disappointment! The air wouldn’t blow cold in the room so we called to the front desk for a fan and they said they had already lent them out to other guests (because it was hot in the hotel rooms!!). The toilet stopped up so we asked for a plunger and never hear anything back!! Asked for a wine cork and they said they would ask the bartender, never heard back. There was no guide for the tv channels or guide for amenities such as the laundry room. The hallway reeked of smoke. The breakfast was good and the bed was comfortable. To me, air conditioning is a huge deal and I hate feeling hot in a room I paid good money for. I expected more. And worse, when we checked out and again brought up our dissatisfaction, the front desk said, sorry about that. Lol. What a joke.

Also, the swans need to be put back in a natural habitat. The loud lobby and a dirty pool isn’t the place for an animal.

Great location, the hotel is very nice, the staff are all helpful and polite. The breakfast food is great, food wonderful and great selection for breakfast, the afternoon reception was okay not much selection.

The rooms are nice and large. It was very convenient to the Galleria as we were able to walk there in just about 5 mins.
