Courtyard by Marriott Houston Northwest

Courtyard by Marriott Houston Northwest

This is not your average Courtyard experience. I have never stayed in a Courtyard this outdated and so in need of cleaning and attention. The air conditioning either wasn’t turned on on the floors and in the lobby or in the halls on the floor or it wasn’t working. Two fans were placed in the lobby. The photos included says it all. Positive notes- the desk clerk was very nice and friendly even though he was working in 90+ degree weather in a long sleeve shirt. The lobby appeared neat.

I stayed here for two nights with my daughter for her Ice Skating competition at the aerodrome. Every staff member was so welcome and made us feel important. When we checked in we received two bags of cookies. Then right before my daughters competition a staff member came to the room to give Skylar a cupcake that said "skating isnt a sport, its a lifestyle", candy, Gatorade and i cant remember what else. How amazing was that. Then the general manager left another Gatorade and a trail mix snack with the nicest letter the night b4 we checked out. Not preprinted, she literally wrote it. They made us feel special and important. The bed was comfortable and I loved the teatree shampoo and conditioner.

Christy was excellent host. Very fiendly and helpful. Greets everyday, makes you feel welcome. Staying at the hotel for almost a month, she was able to make meals enjoyable although limited menu. Helpful to get things from the shop for me on her own time due to me being busy. Really appreciate the service and would return just for staff like Christy. She is such a gem, thank you.

I was truly deceived. The lobby looked fair. However, the elevator looked dated which was a precursor of what was to come. Walking the hallways was disgusting as there was no A/C or air circulating. This is worrisome as Covid 19 is still very much a thing and stagnant air could contribute. The room was bare and simple. The bed sheet had a faint stain. The bathroom only had a bar of soap. The toilet seat was falling apart as the layers were peeling off. I honestly did not feel the one door lock was enough and surprised there it had no swing lock. The sign to keep the towels and minimize towel turn overs was faded. The do not disturb sign was was also faded and bent. The A/C sounded like it was going explode. It was awful. Never again

We stayed here during a trip to Houston for a soccer camp. The location was convenient and easy. Plenty of restaurants in the area to choose from and easy to get to from the airport. We would stay there again. Not 5 stars because the room was older and the bathtub needed some repairs.

Hello, I am an experienced traveler and I want to personally thank Nate and Angela for being exceptional employees. Nate - was warm and caring at the counter, going out of his way to make the check process easy. Angela - assisted with helping me decide what to eat. She engaged me about my visit and my experience with Marriotts. I hope their managers know just how fortunate they are to have employees like Nate and Angela.

Hi,

In the month of February, I had 3 night of pleasant stay at Courtyard by Marriott. My first stay at this property but really memorable. Some of the good and negative point about the property are:

1. Decent 3 Star Property. Rooms are really spacious and Silent. Especially Sofa cum bed is really nice.

2. If you are a Gold and Platinum card member and booked for Standard room, on the basis of availability, they might upgrade you (Did for me) to a balcony room. Really had a nice view especially morning tea.

3. Hotel is really close to few eating place especially Domino Pizza, and if you are a Indian Food lover - Mayuri Indian restaurant is nearby. Their food was really yummy.

4. Limited hotel - front-desk staff but really polite and helpful. Do note - Same staff - manages their restaurant food (Billing and servicing as well).

Things for improvement:

1. If you are looking for early morning breakfast in the hotel - think Twice because restaurant won't be open before 7AM,

2. Limited option in the breakfast and in case - hotel is fully packed with guests then you might have to wait for few minutes as well.

However as mentioned - Staff is really helpful.

Overall - Worth to stay folks and i normally called as a "Decent Business Hotel"

Beware. Nothing in the parking lot is safe. Our vehicle was broken into. No cameras working and zero support from the staff. Heavy damage to our vehicle. Secured truck topper locks were drilled out and thousands of dollars of tools were stolen. High price for a poor location.

no, there are bus lines but I would ask the hotel. Downtown is too far to bus it. There are some restaurants and shops that are walkable.
