I was in H-town for a graduation and only stayed one night. The room was fairly clean. The price was very reasonable, but I wouldn’t recommend this hotel beyond a one night stay. There are some serious plumbing issues going on. The room I stayed in had the tub and sink backing up. I showered in the evening and there was still water standing in the tub the next morning. Also, I didn’t find a safe in the room so I made sure to take my valuables with me anytime I left. The pet policy is very liberal, so there’s barking going on at any given moment. Also, the hotel tends to attract a seedy, lower end clientele.

I was provided three month of stay here at this hotel my my employer and mine was a pleasant experience. I stayed in a studio apartment which was adequately furnished. The hotel has a laundry room too. The staff were always friendly and helpful. I would like mention Moazzam at the front desk who was very helpful. Also we had shuttle service two days a week to a grocery store for shopping. This was very helpful for people without vehicle and the prompt and friendly driver, Mohammed was always there in time.

I was with a date and we have learned that Extended Stay America is becoming one of our favorite hotel chains. Why? Because there is a two burner stove, full size refrigerator and microwave, one grocery run, and you are set. In this case, there is a Whole Foods and a Target nearby and Central Market is not too far away for your shopping needs. For the task at hand, the location cannot be beat if you are doing things in or around The Galleria. The room itself was great, and the staff here could not be faulted.

We would stay here again.

This hotel has a few positive aspects... first, the location is great. Only a quick walk to nrg stadium and stores and restaurants across the street. Also, the price is great as well. And, for being a budget hotel, it was clean. Although it was outdated, the rooms were clean and comfortable.

Now for the negatives.. the hallway smelled horrible. I think they could open a window for some ventilation. There was a small kitchen in the room with a full sized fridge stove and microwave, the only problem was, it was not stocked for cooking or eating. Now I may have missed the memo, but I would have thought there would have been lots pans plates forks and even a glass, but nope, the cupboards were bare! So, if you are thinking about staying here so you can cook yourself some meals, inquire about cooking utensils first! Also, our was not serviced our entire 5 might stay. I may have missed the memo on that one too. When I asked for clean towels and more toilet paper they did give it to me. The garbage cans outside the entrance were always overflowing. It would literally take someone 5 minutes to empty them, which would improve the first impression of the place.

Overall, I would not stay here again. I would pay a little more and go to a more reputable establishment.

Thank you for staying with us. It is great to hear you enjoyed your stay overall, although we apologize for the odor you encountered in the hallways. We will share your comments with the housekeeping team for review and action. Please know, kitchenware for your suite is available and kept at the front desk to ensure cleanliness, and our team gladly delivers these items to your suite. Also note, our housekeeping service is provided once a week for guests staying eight or more nights. For those who are staying for shorter periods of time, services are available for a minimal fee, and we also offer a complimentary linen exchange service at the front desk as often as you like. Your feedback is appreciated, and we will be sure our front desk communicates this more clearly going forward. We hope you will give us a second chance to deliver the type of experience you should always expect from our hotel. Sincerely, Hotel Management

I booked a studio bedroom on April 19th for three adults to your Houston Dallas Galleria location for three nights starting April 24th. The reservation was confirmed and paid for in full at time of booking. Upon arriving, was given room 315. When entering the designated room with the three adults, we noticed that house keeping only left ONE partial set of towels. Later I discovered that the face cloth of the ONE set left was stained. Dominick, from the guest services line, projected an exasperated attitude at best during our phone conversation, while apparently cleaning out her car, exhaustedly proclaimed that there was NOTHING she could do.

The hotel staff stated that this location was "short on towels and awaiting shipment of new ones from corporate. Proceeding on thru the evening, I noticed that no linen was provided for the pull out sofa. I alerted the desk person, and was advised linen would be provided. Two hours later, then person from the front desk delivered linen for pull out. When sofa was pulled out, the mattress on it was so disgustingly stained, I and guest dared not sleep on it. (Photos of mattress and stained face cloth attached.

Sleeping on the un-extended sofa, I advised Ms. Barbara of the situation. Barbara offered to move myself and party to room 215. In this room, there were finally, three full sets of towels and linen for the pull out sofa. After retracting the sofa bed, discovery made that mattress, ( while clean ) was as off centered from bed frame and actually affixed pinned in with the bedframe itself. Finally freeing the mattress from the frame, linen was place on the pull out in preparation for sleep. While attempting to lay of the pull out sofa, the mattress slipped back into the frame, causing the bed to retract and me to nearly be possibly decapitated.

The ENTIRE experience was unsettling at best. Barbara tried to accommodate as best as possible. Having coming from an Extended Stay in Atlanta the week prior, I was completed and utterly disappointed with the service experienced at your Houston Dallas Galleria location. My payment should be completely refunded and the location issues addressed immediately.

I have called the location repeatedly, asked Barbara to have manager call me, to no avail. Additionally, Ms. Reba Johnson has not have the decency to return my message left with Stacy at the front desk. I await a response to this letter.

I am extremely satisfied with the hospitality, n most importantly the empathy I was shown from the minute I arrived. I had been driving almost 24hrs, was beyond tired n needed a shower. I know most hotels check in times start at 3pm, but the manager quickly had a room cleaned n let me check way before check in time. I will continue to stay here at this location from now on, you have a great team n I feel honored to be a guest at this hotel. Thank you!

On checkin day when I told the front desk that I was traveling with a service animal the lady asked to see my medical papers, which is against ada regulations.

Check out day I left my room door propped open using my belongings because I was carrying luggage to my car, when I came back my door had been closed completely and I had been locked out. I went to the front desk to ask for a temporary key to be made so I could finish getting my items. The lady at the front desk mentioned a smoke smell, I informed her I keep my smoking items in my car & go out to smoke so that could be where the strong smell is coming from. The front desk employee nodded and said ok. The manager stepped from out of her office and said “what happened? Because we have the right to refuse service” already defensive without knowing the current situation and started saying “You cant break down and roll up in our rooms” , making a racially charged insuation towards cigars because I never mentioned I smoked cigars. I explained “someone moved my belongings while I was packing to checkout , Im not sure why there has to be an argument “ I asked for her name , which was Reba, and proceeded to take a business card.

I have worked front desk at Hampton by Hilton for 2 years and have never attempted to yell at or argue with a customer . Please work harder on de-escalation instead introducing conflict

The worse hotel experience of my life. I reserved a room to stay for 3 days, tried to request a refund after the 1 day and was declined by staff. the only elevator was broken and staff stated that it would not be fixed for a couple of days, it was rare to see a staff member at the front desk. There was trash and dog poop on the stairs, and you could hear people yelling in the hallways every day. The room itself was a disaster. Other residents were letting their dogs run around the hallways. Sides of the bathroom floors were torn up, the ceiling was peeling off, the kitchen floor was peeling, the room was non smoking and smelled like smoke. I am currently working on requesting for a refund and staff is adamant about no refunds. Worth spending some extra money to stay somewhere else than here.

I only had a 2-night stay but on the morning of the 2nd day I noticed roaches in the kitchen! I unfortunately left my food out on the counter and couldn't eat it. I went downstairs to inform the front desk but they were so overwhelmed with other customers I decided not to say anything. Wish I could get a refund for my stay :(

Greetings, First and foremost I would like to thank all the staff as well as the Manager Josh. The professionalism is top-notch which is why I extended till September 1st. The cleanliness and security is paramount especially in such uncertain times. I especially would like to acknowledge Denise for the daily tasks she performs unselfishly for the guests. I would highly recommend this property for families, business, or just to take in the shopping, parks, and restaurants that are within walking distance. Excellent property and managed with the guest in mind. Great job and thank-you

Daniel
