The pillows were too firm even those marked as soft. The breakfast buffet was good but ended at 9 so sleeping in was not an option if you wanted to enjoy the free meal. Pool area was nice but the pool itself was very murky and looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a while.
Front desk staff was great and ensures we had all we needed. Great location.

This hotel is two in one (Staybridge Suites and Holiday Inn Express). I think this is where there is some confusion at the front desk. We always clarified our reservation was with Holiday Inn and provided a confirmation number with no issues. The customer service was great. The breakfast in the morning was better than most places but usually packed so I recommend going early on the weekends. The pool is outside on the 2nd floor and there is a sitting area for people off to the side. The rooms are a little weird. No iron, but there is a steamer. There was a small wardrobe to hang clothes and a dresser but the bottom of the wardrobe had a safe in it and extra blankets. It would be better use of space to put the blankets in the dresser and safe on top of the wardrobe. Only half the outlets in the room worked. They were reset but when everything is on, items plugged in, and hair dryer going, they go out again.

Walking distance to water wall park. .5 mile drive to Galleria Mall. Most locations we drove to all around Houston we were not in the car more than 25 minutes, even with traffic. Longest drive was to and from airport. Definitely would stay here again.

This was a fast trip to Houston, mainly for business but if time permitted we would do a little shopping. My hotel chain of choice is Marriott but this hotel opened in April, 2021 and was fantastic! We were on the 8th floor and had a room with 2 double beds. Everything was clean, the bedding was clean and bathroom was spacious and clean with no mold or cracked tiles in the shower/bathroom. The fitness room is great with a couple of treadmills and ellipticals and a bike. Also some free weights. The pool area is nice. It has a comfortable, shaded area to lounge and visit. The pool is not huge but big enough and there were several people enjoying it. The breakfast is wonderful. A large variety of things are served Multiple coffees, juices and Coke product fountain drinks are offered as well. The interior of the hotel was clean. Housekeeping came and exchanged our towels. The staff was very friendly. Parking is $22/day in their parking garage and we didn’t have any problem finding a spot. There is really no way around that. There’s really no other place to park but in the hotel’s parking garage.
LOCATION: Very close to the galleria and other shopping places.
I would definitely stay here again.

I booked a room for Friday night and found out I had to go in a day early so i booked another room. I ended up getting to the hotel due to airport delays at 130 am. Manager on duty was very pleasant and helpful. The next morning I selected the extended stay option on the tv and was told I would be contacted. Never was so I go up and dressed (which i did not want to do because I got in so late) went down to the front desk and asked the gentleman if I could just stay in the same room and have the 2nd night resevertion added to the first night. He was pleasant and helpful and said he took care of it. From 11 am until about 4 pm I had 6 housecleaning ppl knock on my door. Twice the same guy came back saying they showed that I was to have checked out that morning. I told all of them to take it up with the front desk not me. I even called the front desk twice and told them to have housecleaning stop knocking on my door. It happened twice more after that. I understand the switching of the rooms was probably confusing but it is not my job as a guest trying to sllep and relax to be arguing with housecleaning at my door. They should have contacted the front desk and figured it out. If there was some error on my part the front desk should have notified me. Nobody did. The last morning I requested an extended checkout. Did no good. Housecleaning was knocking at my door at 1130. I booked they trip to getaway and relax. It was everything but relaxing and I wasted pointes and money. I also overheard a lady in the lobby arguing with housekeeping over them cleaning her room after she requested them not to. The internet kept logging out every 20-30 min as well. I also called the hotel twice for the lost and found and left 2 messages and over 30 hours without a return call. Called Holiday Inn corp to try to get them to help with a call back. We will see.

Dear Q9049TSscotth, I appreciate you for sharing your review about your recent stay. I am very sorry that you did not experience an exemplary hotel stay because of the level of service you have received. On behalf of our hotel, I apologize that you were not able to relax due to our housekeeping staff. This is not what we want any of our guests to experience. I have sent you a private message to reaffirm my apologies. In the midst of the inconvenience, I am glad to know that the service of our manager on duty was still appreciated. I very much hope that you will grant us the opportunity to prove ourselves again. Best Regards, Ben W. Case Manager IHGService

Location is excellent and security feels very good.

Convenient parking.

Friendly checkin staff. Very accommodating.

Place is new so very clean and attractive.

Great pantry snack selection.

Room is spacious and well appointed. Can be noisy if you face the freeway but it’s still OK.

The bed is perhaps the most comfortable ever. Fluffy and firm. How do you do that?

Breakfast bar is up a couple notches from most as real flatware and plates rather than paper and plastic are available.

Highly recommend this place.

We hosted our annual company meeting at this property and everything was perfect! The director of sales, Andrew, took care of us from start to finish and even checked in with me multiple times during our event to make sure we were taken care of. Eric was excellent at keeping all items stocked and areas clean and organized. The meeting room was organized perfectly, and they went above and beyond by making sure the welcome bags we made were in the guest rooms before check-in. Breakfast was delicious and the custom breaks and meals were excellent. Our rooms were clean and comfortable. Overall, the property is modern and attractive and within walking distance to multiple highly rated restaurants and shopping experiences. I wouldn't hesitate to host another meeting at this property or recommend it to my family and friends!

Nicely designed hotel, great sundry shop double their photos and great selection. Rooms were exactly as pictured with steamer instead of iron, which was fine. Our had a fridge, worked.

Breakfast was really great, no broken machines or unavailable options like many holiday inns. It actually made me think I should give holiday inns a try in the future.

The highway noise is loud for rooms facing it, even late with racers or just super load motorcycles. If you’re a light sleeper you cant have a highway side room. You will literally hate your stay.

This was my second stay at this hotel. It would have five stars if the floors and bathroom were cleaner and the sheets didn't have a slight funny smell. Just do a better job on the mattress/pillows/ sheets and the bathroom floors and base of the shower. I had the same issue both stays May 2021 and September 2022. lol Other than that it is beautiful, the staff is wonderful the free breakfast is great. Fridge, Microwave. Water at 2am if you need it! The views are fantastic, also the guest are quite trendy and attractive if you care..lol

Absolutely fabulous hotel! If you are planning an event, Andrew is amazing. He will take care of all your needs. I came to stay for my birthday and he made it extra special for me. Mr. Santos, the bartender, was friendly and made a mean Cape Cod. The pool is heated, the room was spotless, and the front desk staff was on point. Thanks so much for a great time!

My first weekend back traveling and I have to say that it was an amazing weekend in Houston Texas! I booked my room at a two in one hotel in the Galleria area for shopping. As soon as I walked in the hotel I was amazed at how beautiful and clean it was and the front desk agent Fatima was super nice and informed me that it was a brand new hotel only open a year! Not to mention that it was a person from a family reunion at the front desk complaining about having to make a new reservation because she didn't book in time and had to come down to get her new keys, which I don't see how this was the front desk problem! The lady speaking with her handled the problem very well -Good Job lady in the nice high heels! Made it to my room and still amazed on how this could not be a Holiday Inn Express room was clean and fresh, the view out my window was a site to see loved it. Off to shop! The bed was so comfortable great sleep! Breakfast was busy and yummy and free! I overhead the family reunion talking about how they was having a good time and other family members wanted to complain for free things at the hotel- what a shame because the hotel staff is very friendly and they go out they way to help each guest no matter what the breakfast lady was busting tables and help everyone! I will always stay with Holiday Inn Express Houston Galleria! Thank you to all the staff great services..
