I stayed here for the price mostly and was completely surprised when I got there. The hotel was recently renovated and it was very clean and modern. The room was perfectly clean and modern. The bed was so comfortable. I never heard anyone else when I was in my room. All staff was very nice. The breakfast was standard La Quinta fare but I did really enjoy the granola and lemonade I have't had at other locations. The fitness center was nice so it was bigger than the standard fitness center. Only disappointment was hot tub wasn't working but I was so happy with everything else, that was okay. The location made it easy to get throughout Houston and I also liked that it was also surrounded by many different restaurants and stores. Great location. If I am in the Houston area again, I will definitely stay here.

It's easy to get in and out of the property, and once you're there, the service is friendly and the rooms are clean and comfortable. The Christmas tree in the entrance was beautifully decorated. If you use a wheelchair or scooter, there's plenty of room to maneuver. If you're there on Christmas Eve when most restaurants are closed, there's a Denny's across the street that's open all night.

We were very comfortable. Upon arrival, we were given a room on the third floor and we asked to be moved to first floor. We were easily accommodated. We asked about making copies of a presentation the following day and we were again easily accommodated…great stay!!!

This hotel does not honor room types reserved on the La Quita website. They obviously have rooms rented that are not known to their corporate site. Although we settled for a smaller room, that room did not come with the refrigerator that was advertised on the website. They told us they may or may not have the microwave and refrigerator. They did move one to our room at our request. The doors at the rear of the property did not lock at all. The parking area was surrounded by a fence and only accessible by one side on the front. We were concerned from a fire safety perspective. There were signs at the breakfast buffet to limit portions. While the hotel was newly renovated and relatively clean, it had a strange vibe like it was a boarding house. I would not stay there by myself from a safety perspective.

Thanks for the review however I'm concerned as to if you are speaking of the correct location. I don't see your name on our previously lodged listing. All of our rooms are equipped with a frig/microwave and we don't have signage about limited breakfast portions. We do however have signs informing our guests about Covid restrictions. Safety and security is definitely not an issue at our location the building is not only equipped with Night Vision cameras but is monitored 24 hours a day. I still want to apologize to you for any inconvenience you experienced and also thank you for staying Wyndham Hotels.

I enjoyed my stay and the property was nice. Staff was very friendly and attentive as well. This location was very convenient for where we wanted to be and is close to many restaurants and not far from downtown. You save a lot by staying a bit further from downtown while not being too far.

The La Quinta reservationist told me the pet fee was $25.00. At check in, I was told the the pet fee changed to $75 as of 11/2022!! I made a same day reservation, so it was non refundable. I called the La Quinta reservation line, was placed on hold several times for several min only to be told that yes, their system was not updated and there was nothing that can be done, since it was after hours and the manager was unavailable. I wouldn’t have made the reservation if I knew the pet fee was $75! If these changes were made 2 mos ago, why was the system not updated?? Maybe because the chain knew people would be turned off by this and not make reservations?!! It’s poor business, poor customer service! I will spread this information and the poor customer service. I will not stay at a LaQuinta or a Wyndham chain.

Booked 3 nights using airmiles.
Asked front desk for 2 bottles of water. He said $2 each. I didn’t have cash on me just then. Charge to my room? No, bc we pre-paid.
Get off elevator to the worst smelling carpet, like old cig smoke. Smelled pot coming from 2 rooms. Opened room door, freezing bc heater turned off. Checked out a day early. Surly desk girl said no room credit bc it was 30 min after 11am checkout time on Christmas day.
Only redeeming feature was the room was clean. Never will stay st LaQuinta again.

The hotel is dirty, and most of the guests are loud and disrespectful of the other guests. There are unknown "characters" hanging-out in the parking lot at night. Very unsafe environment. Since this is a pet friendly hotel, most of the guests with dogs are allowed to be placed on any floor. Guests with dogs should be placed on the 1st floor, and the dogs should be muzzled.

Since our gas had to be turned off and we had no heat or hot water, we needed a place to thaw out and take a hot bath and hot shower. This hotel was great for the reasonable price. Everything was clean and looked nice. The gentleman who checked us in was particularly nice and wanted to make sure we enjoyed our stay.

I stay at this La Quinta regularly, and always come back. I am always warmly greeted, and the staff takes care of any problems I may have. The rooms are always clean, and generally in good condition. Occasionally the mini-fridge or A/C unit is a little noisy, but that doesn't bother me very much. There is also sometimes some pet noise b/c La Quinta welcomes pets, but once again that doesn't bother me. Overall, highly recommended.
