Detailed Reviews
Checked in yesterday for a one-nights' stay. Checking in wasn't pleasant. Lady never acknowledged me being a Diamond Member or anything. Got to our room, which was a 1 King Bed/ One Bedroom Suite. The shower never got hot and the sink water never got hot. This was the same issue that occurred last year but figured that they would have fixed it. In face, we went to plug in something by the bed, and the power went out in the bedroom and the maintenance guy said oh you can't plug anything else there..huh???
Ended up moving to the opposite side of hotel ... standard king and there was tons of hot water // great bed // great shower / great tv, etc. They did provide complimentary snacks for our bad experience.
Highly recommend the breakfast there // being a Diamond member, we receive a total of $10/per person and you pay the difference. The quality is excellent. Fabulous french toast // cheese omelets / bagels / coffee, etc.
Great location and super quiet.
The 3p-11p employee, Brandon, was awesome - super professional friendly. The lady checking us out this morning, Fantasia, had a huge smile on her face!
Definitely will stay here again, but never in one of their suites!

Hotel's Favourite
The hotel has been very clean and tidy during my stay if a week. The room is very comfortable as is the lobby. Nice pool, laundry for guests, and exercise room Housekeeping doing a good job and pleasant. Lobby staff also helpful. A final sentence to make it to the required 200 characters.

Clean and neat, nice personnel and nice guests! I don’t know why, I always find nice people here! I would like to have soap bars at the shower instead of liquid body lotion, there is a nice lobby outside the building to have some drinks and chat, but is the nicest place to have a smoke too but that is forbidden, this should be revised, everybody smokes there!

I've been staying at this hotel every other week for 3-4 nights for at least 5 years. Since Covid, this hotel has become really unbearable. The restaurant and bar is no longer open, they don't clean your room for multiple night stays, and the new person at the front desk is totally rude and disinterested. I complained to her about my room not being cleaned the last stay even after requesting, and her response was "please slide your card." She never acknowledged my comment. The conference room was full of people and no parking space available near the front as I like as over the years, my vehicle has been broken into at night more times than I can remember.

This hotel was selected based on location near a meeting and a much lower room rate than the meeting hotel. It has the usual Garden Inn layout and furnishings. Due to Covid-19, breakfast was available on only one morning of my stay, the restaurant was unavailable for dinner, and the bar was closed. These circumstances were disappointing and in fact inconvenient. Without these how is this better than a Hampton Inn? The cutback in housekeeping was not an issue since I only stayed 2 nights. This was in July 2021, so maybe they have reopened services. This would be necessary for me to stay here again. Front desk was friendly but was away from the desk for lengthy periods when I needed to interact with them.

The room was okay and staff nice enough. Overpriced drinks and food, which was mediocre. And being charged $20 for a miniature toothpaste and 2 dollar store toothbrushes is just greedy and taking advantage of stranded passengers. Would not stay again.

shower not hot
noisy AC & Heating unit
2/19/2020 was the second time that I stayed at your hotel and the water in the shower was warm but not hot.
OVER A YEAR AGO - - - The first time was over a year ago... I ran the water in the tub for 15 minutes but water never became hot. The front desk changed my room that same night but there was no improvement in the temp the shower in the second room... I just figured that your boiler was broken. That was over a year ago. It left a bad impression.
On 2/19/2020, I arrived and stayed in ROOM 525. I ran the water in the tub for 45 minutes thinking it might go from warm to hot... no improvement. It is interesting that the hot water in the sink is hot enough to cause you to move your finger out of the hot water stream, but in the shower the water was uncomfortable because the water was not hot. The next morning 2/20/2020 I got out of bed and ran the hot water in the sink and in the tub for 15 minutes. Again, the hot water in the sink is hot enough to cause you to move your finger out of the hot water stream, but in the shower made it uncomfortable because water was not hot that morning…. I jumped out of the shower with soap on me. Burrrr.
On 2/20/2020 [morning] I told the front desk and they said they would send someone to the room to fix the problem. At noon I checked the water in the tub – no improvement. I notified the desk again… I think someone [in the afternoon] must have adjusted the cold/hot mix regulator in the valve of the shower, because there seems to be some improvement, but not much.
This make me want to stay at Marriott when I am in the Houston West Energy Corridor area

My apologies that you had such a terrible experience with the hot water during your stay! I know it has been such a long time since your stay, but I still wanted to take a moment to let you know that we all sincerely appreciated your feedback about your stay last year. Your comments helped provide back-up to complete some improvements to our hot water system that we believe has remedied this issue. If you think you may be traveling back to the area next month - February 2021 - please call the hotel to let us know! We would love to customize your stay and make it vastly better than the last two times. Thank you again for the feedback!

Stayed here for a few nights after i stayed in the other hotels nearby. Big plus of this hotel is the breakfast. Fresh waffles, eggs, toast, juices etc. Food is served on real earthenware instead of plastic plates and cutlery.
Rooms are ok, but that airco is so loud, as if an aircraft is taking off. Bathroom is as standard as possible.
Big compliment for the very kind drivers of the shuttle to the company office.

Thank you for staying with us, and for your kind words about our staff, and the breakfast offerings! We love hearing feedback from our guests. Although I'm disappointed to hear that the HVAC was so loud in your room (our apologies!), I am happy to report that we will be replacing some of the HVAC units within the next 60-90 days. In the meantime, our maintenance team is doing everything possible ensure all of our HVACs are functioning properly, and to dampen the noise when needed. Thank you again for taking the time to review our hotel!

It was clean and basic for what it offered. Be careful because there is a charge if you grab the morning foods offered-$13. apiece. The hostess is sweet as she relays to you that you did not select to have breakfast. Make sure you make yourself a note in your vacation notes. Safe parking-well lit. The steakhouse nearby would have benefited from our business had it been open on Sunday.
The lobby, with the fireplace and leather settees, is warm and inviting.

Thank you for taking the time to review our hotel! We currently have modified our breakfast and now have multiple grab-and-go offerings in the morning including bagels, hard-boiled eggs, yogurt, juice, etc. All items are individually wrapped for your safety. Our best value is the breakfast box for $5 that includes a yogurt, bagel, cream cheese, hardboiled eggs, and a juice! We look forward to your next stay with us!

Left the hotel an hour early since it was about 45 mins traffic at 9am on a weekday.
Yes you can have things delivered.
I recommend the Hampton Inn/ Homewood Suites Houston Downtown. It's right across the street from Minute Maid Park!
The Hilton Garden Inn Houston Energy Corridor recently finished renovations. We are about 30 minutes to the airport (IAH) and about 50 minutes to Space Center (off NASA Parkway). We hope this is helpful.
