My wife and I were here for a professional conference. All of the staff we interacted with were very friendly and helpful. The food for our conference events was very good and at the restaurant in the hotel. The room with a refrigerator was clean and comfortable. The selection of TV channels was the only disappointing item, we get much better at much cheaper places.
I recently attended a conference from August 8-12, which was held on the 2nd floor meeting rooms. Upon check in on August 7, I was greeted by one of the most engaging and delightful front desk reps ever - Antoinette. She accommodated all my requests including a certain type of room and a few other small items. In fact, half way through the week, she sent some “goodies” like a fruit platter and drinks. We were so impressed with her customer service level. Truly an exemplary employee! I enjoyed the hotel very much as it was across Minute Maid Park. Took in a game but there was a thunderstorm that evening which actually made the walk (run) thrilling. The hotel is known for a lazy river pool which I didn’t have time to enjoy. The M Club is a great way to start the day with coffee and snacks, but I will say, this is the only area that I would mark down - the breakfast choices were minimal, but heck, it’s still something. A special shout out to Camren for sending me a hello note. That was really sweet. Biggios had decent choices for a bar meal. I used the gym almost everyday and it’s top of the line. Thank you Marriott Marquis Houston.…
Nothing special. Room basic and clean. Have to pay to park in addition to room rate; either valet or paid parking down the street. Restaurant downstairs had good food; slightly overpriced. Despite the fact that they claim pool is heated it was freezing cold. Plenty of tubes for lazy river and towels provided. Not worth a repeat trip.
Known for the Texas shaped swimming pool but a great location next to the convention center. The breakfast restaurant is a little small compared to the hotel size so get there early if there are events next door. Several restaurants and bars available throughout the lobby.
My neck and upper back pain just completely disappeared. Couldn’t be more grateful. FiFi is the best !!!!! Choose her! I’m only here visiting for the weekend from Austin and made this appointment last minute. They were super accommodating and overall a great experience.
I have been a loyal Marriott customer since 2004. I travel frequently for work and am a Bonvoy Platinum Elite member. Tonight I show up to check into this hotel for a four-night reservation and they canceled the reservation that I have had for weeks. I have never had this happen at a Marriott property. The reservation was secured with a credit card. Most Marriotts will call me to confirm if there is a question. The manager, Eric Handley was not helpful, inconsiderate, and rude. BEWARE if you have travel plans to this Marriott. It is self-serving and does not put its customers first. Apparently they oversold the hotel, NOT MY PROBLEM!!!
Amazing property with huge M Club (open weekends) and fantastic pool. Last minute trip and upgraded upon checkin. Antoinette front desk was extremely customer focused. When I mentioned we were here to celebrate my grandsons birthday she sent a handwritten note and treat for him. Nice personal touch
As a Titanium Elite member, the Marriott Marquis Houston is one of my favorite hotels. The hotel is immaculate and has all the amenities you could want. I received an upgrade to a beautiful suite and loved the fitness center, Texas shaped lazy river and pool, and lounge. The restaurants on-site were delicious and had other great options and activities within walking distance. The staff were friendly and attentive, and daily housekeeping was much appreciated. You won’t be disappointed with your stay here.
We had some extra time today, so we stopped into the spa and luckily they had some openings. Latisha Starr gave me a fabulous massage today. Would definitely recommend seeing her at the Marriott Marquis in Houston.😊
We chose this hotel for its famous Texas-shaped lazy river. Our car was whisked away by energetic and focused valet on a hot summer day. Thank you for the in-and-out privileges that come with an overnight valet service! Xochi has a filling brunch buffet on Sundays. Rooms are impeccably clean. Once settled into our double queen bed room, we went directly to the pool area. It's well maintained, clean and safe. The little bumps on the surface of plexiglass bridges are a nice touch, keeping guests from sliding around. There are two elevator shafts, one for each set of floors. This can be confusing, but we got used to them in good time. Biggio's has smoky bison chili in three of their dishes. It was a good fit after a day of splashing in the pool. We rounded off the day with some Netflix on a large LCD. Overall, great comfortable stay, thank you!…
