One of worst hotels I've been to. First room had a serious mildew smell, cobwebs and dead bugs in bathroom. Then transfered to a second one where one of the night stand light wasn't working and bathroom walls was falling apart.
I booked on booking.com. We got there and it was no, you have no reservation, not by name or confirmation number - was told we would have to call booking.com. I don't have phone number. I had printed out sheets with confirmation. Finally after looking at last 4 digits of my credit card magically the reservation popped up. They had my first name as the last name. The elevator carpet is nasty, doesn't look like it has been vacuumed in ages. The room is small. The sink is outside the door from the tub and toilet. Coffee maker lid was broken off leaving the tank area exposed - yeah that's where you put the water. Typical other guests slamming doors. The breakfast was ok considering still in this pandemic, wrapped croissant, wrapped muffins, fruit like apples and no where to wash them so why the wrapped other stuff? I wouldn't pick this aging Comfort Inn again. Needs some serious cleaning.…
We had a very nice room with a comfortable king bed. adequate bathroom facility, flat screen tv, good internet, refrigerator, microwave and hotel was quiet. The room appeared to be very clean. My wife and I having been vaccinated for coronavirus gives a good level of feeling a bulletproof to contracting the disease but we still wear masks in public places. Noticed when we checked in that the desk clerk was not wearing one nor were any other staff members we happened to run into. staff was very friendly and efficient. Breakfast was served buffet style but most options were individually wrapped other than the bananas and apples. I'd say about 1/2 of the guests were wearing masks. I would easily rate as a 5 with a better COVID protocol. For the price of the room, we found our stay to be a good value. Very convenient to DFW airport and to downtown Grapevine.…
This hotel is located in a perfect spot. It is kept clean. Breakfast is good considering the present situation. So why the low rating. Masks are not required it mandatory. Staff and guests walk over the hotel without wearing a mask. The few employees seen wearing one had them on their chin, neck or not covering the nose. Main reason why we decided to checkout earlier. Not jeopardizing our health when numbers accross TX keep increasing. It would be a full 5 had it not been for the safety issue during a pandemic.
Hotel is still advertising Hotel Shuttle in December, but they haven't had it since March. I was made aware of this when I called from t he airport. 9 months later, if you haven't updated your amenities, its the same as lying. Room was quiet, a little bit worn but not bad. Staff was quite pleasant, I had a very nice talk with Amanda who checked me in. So many thanks to her. But unacceptable that her employer would be offering airport shuttle when you havent had it for that long
