This was my first time in Dallas and my first time at an Omni hotel. I was booked to stay at another hotel for 3 nights but my plans changed and I was arriving a day earlier than scheduled, so I booked Omni for my first night mainly because of the location and the pool. Upon arrival I was impressed at how large the lobby and public spaces are, very open and accommodating. Later I was told how the hotel hosts many large groups and is connected directly to the convention center. Kaylee at the front desk gave me a very warm and friendly greeting when I arrived on Thursday evening. When I was contemplating upgrading to a larger room with a soaking tub I talked with the manager Peter. Having worked in hotels for two decades in NYC I am happy to report that Peter is the cream of the crop when it comes to customer service, efficiency, and understanding guest needs. It was the conversation I had with him that helped me decide to upgrade and it also set the tone for my entire stay. Because of his suggestions and kindness I ended up canceling my stay at the other hotel and staying at Omni for all four nights. Thank goodness they had availability! The room was really terrific! It is on the end of the building and has rounded floor-to-ceiling windows in every room, and the bathroom is glamorous and the tub is big and has a great view! I couldn't have been happier. It seems that everyone here knows what they are doing and can accommodate any request quickly and efficiently. My one complaint is that they do not have regular attendants at the pool deck so things got a bit messy and crowded on a sunny afternoon due to towels, plates, glasses and other refuse being left behind by guests and not cleaned up. Other than that I give this hotel an A++.

Room Tip: Standard rooms are nice, but upgrade to the corner suite for sweeping views and a big soaking tub.

Hotel's Favourite
The Dallas Omni is a very nice hotel. Had room on upper floor. Beautiful views at night when all the buildings downtown are lit up. Very quiet and private. Large rooms, large bathroom with walk in shower. Full size bath amenities. Very pleasant, helpful staff. Valet parking a reasonable $38 per day. While I don't particularly care for Dallas, I loved my stay at this hotel.

This was a record low for Omni customer service. So many things went wrong and no attempts were made for service recovery. We did express check-in, yet still had to wait in line to check-in again. We did not receive our loyalty member complimentary drink coupons on check-in and we were told ‘just walk back and get them’. When we asked if there was really only electrical plug at the bedside, we were direct to use the alarm clock USB. Well, there was no alarm clock. We did NOT opt out of the daily cleaning of the room. We asked three times to have the room cleaned and were told ‘you opted out’. If they had told us that the first time we asked, we could have cleared that up and not waited until 5 pm to get it done. So - my recommendation would be to stay somewhere else. You can stay at high-end luxury hotel two streets over for the same price. Omni needs to step-up their game if they want their loyal members to stay again.

I can’t believe I am complaining after corona time. not able to travel. Yet, I believe all heartily with keeping up with your mission statement . The hotel was not full . So why did we got connecting rooms with next door guests that celebrated loudly . The Omni hotels can’t short changed guests with silly items like ... body wash ! no body wash . And by the maid words “you must ask at the reception we can’t give you body wash you ” It was stay I will not look forward repeating .

For the price point I paid on a holiday weekend I expected the luxury of a luxury hotel but what I got was a room with 2 TVs that didn’t work and air conditioner that did not cool the room down enough and top it off we ordered room service for breakfast and the food was 1 star at best cold and my avocado toast had brown avocado and the other dish my associate had was ice cold. Horrible and they will do NOTHING TO MAKE THIS TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE RIGHT!
