Ye Kendall Inn, established in 1859, is a registered state and national historic landmark. In 1859 the then Reed House offered 4 rooms for those traveling through the Texas Hill Country. Ye Kendall Inn now offers 36 rooms, suites and cottages each exquisitely appointed and beautifully restored to their historic grandeur but with modern amenities such as comfortable furnishings, complimentary wireless internet, and cable TV. The Inn's 22-inch hand cut limestone walls and breezy front and back porches give you a historic true Texas experience not soon forgotten. The Inn is located on 5 acres overlooking Cibolo Creek and Boerne's historic Town Square in the heart of the Hill Country just 35 minutes north of San Antonio.

Boerne is a charming town and this is an amazing and charming boutique hotel with all sorts of buildings and rooms from which to choose. We were in School Room 4. Decor is Hill Country Shabby Chic. Great bed, end tables. We got a handcapped room and it was spacious with a huge walk in shower. Fabulous soaps, shampoos and lotion. Ice machine is in a little gazebo outside!!

I’ve been here before and my mark goes up and down for the stay. Cleanliness depends really on the room and time of the year. Hot water was not available last time we were here so we had to change the room in the evening. The most annoying thing is having a cable tv! No smart tv nowadays?? Small tv with cable is so outdated . The other issue are thin walls that are separating the rooms so you can hear everything and everyone in the room next to yours. This hotel needs some improvement.

We stayed here two nights and absolutely loved it! Our cabin was super clean and spacious. The staff was amazing and so helpful. It was an easy walk to downtown and there was a park across the street. The grounds were immaculate. Our only complaint was we could have used a microwave and maybe a bigger fridge, we had nowhere to keep leftovers. We will definitely return.

Unique rooms with interesting decor and pretty grounds with access to paved creekside trail. Staff was friendly and responded to requests promptly. Walking distance to variety of shops and restaurants. Good for small business meetings/retreats.

The location is great and it's cute and historic. The good part stops there. The first room we had was the suite I booked and it had no air conditioning -- it didn't work and clearly the staff was not surprised. They moved us to the only remaining room which did have AC but it was small. We had no choice and appreciated that it was cool. But that room had almost no water pressure (very hard to shower), the sink continually backed up, etc. The exterior gate was next to the room and the lock was taken off after the first night so anyone could have walked up to our room from the street. Oh and there are no phones in the room - to call the front desk you use your personal cell. The pool was tiny and dirty. The staff were helpful but that's not enough. We were offered a bottle of champagne for the trouble of moving rooms and it was never sent. It's a cute place, but stay elsewhere. It needs a lot of work to upgrade it to the prices that are charged.

We stayed in the Cottage House Cabin, which was charming, although I would have preferred a quieter ductless mini split AC to the PTAC unit. Leaving to go to dinner on night one, I noticed water flowing around the outside of the cabin. Looked around and saw a broken water pipe behind the cabin, assumed it was a sprinkler and reported it. Next day, all water had to be off for the entire hotel while leak was fixed (not sprinkler, water main and buried very deep). We were offered a move to a suite, but A) who wants to move? and B) there's no water there, either. Management did the best they could but we lost half a day of a short vacation. We were given a discount ( I told manager "Whatever you think is appropriate"). As I said, stuff happens and management did the best they could do I think, although it did impact our enjoyment. I'm willing to give them another try.

A really neat place to stay. Nice and friendly. Very comfortable bed. For a historic hotel, it does have some modern features without taking away from its charm. A great location to get outside and enjoying the area. As much as I like a lot of the big corporate hotels, I’m glad we stayed here instead. Definitely recommend

The Kendall didn’t disappoint. Historic hotel with unique room options. Hotel was clean and comfortable with a very professional staff. Located right in the middle of town. We walked everywhere we wanted to go. Very nice restaurant and bar next door -Peggy’s on the Green.

We had traveled to the Hill Country with no reservations and no specific plans. While in Bandera a young lady recommended Ye Kendall Inn, and we are so glad she did. Not only was Mary at the front desk friendly and professional, she would not allow us to rent a room until we looked at it and agreed it met our needs. We loved everything about our stay, and will make a return trip specifically to stay here in the fall so that we can sit on the patio by the fireplace.

Lovely little historic hotel in the Texas Hill Country. Beautiful rooms and an excellent staff, especially Mary! Across the street is a wonderful coffee shop, Black Rifle Coffee Company. Lots of restaurants and shopping, all within easy walking distance from the Kendall. The Kendall is the perfect place to spend a relaxing weekend.
