The Sanctuary Park Cottages has become one of our favourite city escapes especially during winter. Wendy and Alex are just the perfect hosts and are always willing to help make your stay more comfortable and enjoyable. The spa's and wood fires in the cabins are a perfect touch especially during winter months. The common grounds area and the cottages inside and out are exceptionally well looked after. You are also only minutes away from all the wineries and fine foods the Yarra Valley has to offer. Highly recommended! Enjoy!

The interesting cottage was cosy and warm when we arrived in the evening. Had fun looking at the cosy decor and kids soon settled around the fireplace and in the large spa bath. Early morning brought many delights as we spotted bunny rabbits bouncing between the bushes, heard the call of many birds and wandered around discovering the friendly goats, sheep and birds. Great places to walk and explore beckoned the children and kept them in high spirits. We set off for a day of toboganning at Lake Mountain which is nearby as well and tired the young ones. Had some great meals in Healesville, even though the cottage has a fully equipped kitchen, (was handy for the breakfasts which are generously supplied by Wendy). There is such an assortment of parks and eating places as well as a

We would have loved to stay at the loft for much longer than we could, the ambiance, location, scenery and amenities were perfect. We couldn't have asked for a better winter escape. Thank you!

We had a wonderful stay at Sanctuary Park Cottages this winter. You wake up to a picture of the grazing goats in open fields with the occasional hot air balloon gliding over the distant sky… all these right through your window, or get out of the cottage for some star gazing in the night made possible only by the absence of artificial city lights. There’s lots of space, lots of privacy. One would assume you have you get yourself pretty far away from civilization to enjoy these, but the amazing thing is Healesville town is only 10 min drive away with a Coles supermarket that opens till midnight, not to mention the famous Beechworth Bakery is nearby too. All the conveniences you need is only a stone's throw away, but far enough to give you that feeling that you are in the

Set in a beautiful and peaceful location. There were other people with children there, but that was never a problem as there was a lot of space between cottages so we didn't have any problem with noise from other cottages. The cottage we stayed in was clean and provided everything we could want. Electric blankets were on all the beds. The wood fire was clean and plenty of firewood at your door - including kindling to make the fire easy to light for novices like us! It was self contained so we are planning to stay for longer next time. The hosts of the property allowed you to have plenty of privacy yet were available if you needed further information on where to go whilst there, or to pick DVD's from their extensive collection. A definate must if you are looking for somewhere to

We stayed at the Cottages in December 2008. Value for money was spot on. We have young children and there was so much for them to do. The playground was well used by our kids, but the amount of space/ grass the kids could also run around was tremendous. The goats, sheep & chooks were added benefits especially with the kids not having feed sheep before :D The cottage was clean and like a home away from home. Thank you to Alex & Wendy for their hospitality. We'll be back.

Our stay at Sanctuary Park Cottages was both relaxing for my husband and I as well as exciting for my two boys (5 and 2). The accomodation was great, clean with rustic character. The boys loved to feed the goats and wander (run) around the large lawned area. The old tractor in the playground also provided much entertainment during our stay. We also tried our hand at fishing in the lake on the property! Sanctuary Park cottages would be beautiful in all seasons - pool and spa for the hot summer days and a beautiful log fire for the cold winter nights. The boys loved our stay on the "farm" and we would definately stay again. Thank you to Wendy & Alex for their hospitality and for sharing their beautiful property with us.

Perfect for a country get away at an affordable price. The cottage was great - cosy and comfy and very tidy and clean. And everything had been thought of .... right down to kids plates, toys and books! Feeding goats, chickens and sheep was a big hit for our toddler. As was the playground and wide open spaces - all nicely mown and tidy. Close to Sanctuary, wineries, beautiful country drives. Too cold for the pool, but looked good for summer. Clean and undercover We have some overseas family visiting for a month later in the year, so we will be sure to try to persaude them to come and stay there. A great Aussie experience for them!

Me and my partner went to Sanctuary Park cottages as a birthday present and we had the most peaceful, relaxing time. The cottage was just beautiful and the best part was the package we got was not expensive at all for what we recieved. With the yummy platter, champagne on arrival, breakfast both days and the winery tour with lunch we couldn't have asked for any more..............except we recieved a lovley surprise when Alex even came up the cottage to light the log fire for us! We really didn't want to come home, and we just wanted to say thank you to Wendy and Alex for making our weekend so special. It's those little things that really mean alot and make us feel special.

Our kids are getting so excited when we talk about visiting 'Bob the goat' again. This includes to always get a very warm welcome from the owners Alex and Wendy, looking for eggs in the chuck shed in the morning and visiting the fantastic bird show at Healesville Sanctuary , just round the corner, every time. As parents we love that everything is provided in the cottage and we just need to get there.I love going for walks on the beautiful property and relaxing in front of the fire place in the evening . We have spend many weekends at the cottages and always find something new to do in the Yarra Valley. The Healesville Hotel used to be a great place for coffee's and lunch, but the last visit was disappointing. The meals would have deserved more love for the produces and for
