Couldn't have asked for more from a Motel. Our room was newly renovated, beautifully clean and gave us all that we needed for a couple of night's stay. The views are amazing during the day and the brazier on the lawns added a lovely touch to the cold nights. It's a great position for walking into town without being close to the main drag.

Very centrally located motel. Can walk into town in two minutes. Quiet location, not bothered by main road noise. Beautiful seating area overlooking fields and mountains (fire pit included) for watching kangaroos and listening to the kookaburras. Room was double and appeared freshly painted with new furnishings. Exceptionally clean. Was a hot day and air-con had been left on for us when we arrived which was a nice touch. Owner very friendly. Will definitely be back,

We stayed here over the long labour day weekend. I loved every minute, the rooms were modern, clean and very close to city centre. Pip was so friendly and updated us on walks to go to and places to visit. I loved the fire pit out the back we sat there watching the kangaroos grazing in the back. Will definitely go back but for longer next time

We just recently stayed over the labour Long Weekend, and what a great weekend it was, The views from the motel were amazing!! The rooms where highly kept and very enjoyable and relaxing to Stay in, with a new recent modern touch. The location was only a 1 min walk to the main town and had great bike paths ready to go riding straight from the front driveway. Every night we went out for tea we came back to a beautiful setting with there lovely fire pit shimmering away with mountain views in the back drop plus a handful of the local Kangaroos, deers, and ducks. Each night we got to enjoy the beautiful nights sky including seeing the Milky Way. We had a little boy who got very sick during the trip and the Hosts were extreamly helpful and accommodating with everything we needed, they kept a close eye on us asking if we needed anything for the remainder of the trip. they where a wonder couple running the motel and I couldn't speak highly enough of them both, I recommend there motel to anyone ever coming through to visit Halls Gap, Thanks again Dan, Meags an Hughy

The view from the rooms’ window is beautiful, however the room itself is not what I thought I was paying for. I wish I took photos. First of all the décor and bed linen was not at all similar to the photo, apart from the two chairs in the room. There were no bedside lamps and the bedside tables were oddly placed far from the bed. The advertised photos also had beautiful curtains that the room did not have, only lace that had stains on it with a dead blowfly to compliment. There were spiderwebs in basically every corner, and the large gap under the door allowed for countless bugs for us the swat off us while we tried to sleep. The photo for the Queen Rooms’ bathroom is not even the bathroom shown in other photos of the same room. It is probably a 70’s style bathroom but the photo shows a modernised, black tiled bathroom. Also, I am from South Australia so I am not sure if having limited cutlery in motels rooms is normal. We had to ask for multiple different items that the room was missing. Such as, a second knife, forks and bowls. The room only has a microwave and a toaster but that doesn’t mean we won’t make our own food. Regardless, my partner and I had a blast and the motel was at a good price. I am more than happy to pay for the view, however was just taken aback by the deception of the photos and wished we had blocked the gap under the door with a towel so we could sleep without bugs crawling on us, quite literally.
