Stayed 2 nights over easter and the place was too-crowded with plots really close to each other, toilets cleaned only once a day and mud and water everywhere on the floor. The check-in lady was only interested in taking our money rather than answer our questions. Wouldnt go back again here. Great location at the foot of the mountains and close to town, but focus should be on customer service and not revenue maximisation
We come here every Easter. Things to love about it are: Accessibility to the shops and to the bush walks, being in the bush and having kangaroos visit. I like the size of the shower cubicles compared to some parks. Lots of room to move and very practical. However, since the park has had new owners a few years back, the decline in maintaining the rear toilet block has not gone unnoticed. These days it feels they are all about the money grab. Deposits are now non refundable all year long--even tho they can easily fill an Easter site if you pull out a month prior, and it's a minimum 4 night stay. Easter is traditionally a 3 night long weekend and not everyone can get the extra time off. The rear toilet block has mold on the ceiling, soap is hardly ever in the dispenser and one of the few sinks that were chock full every morning did not have working taps. The entry keypad is also hard to see the numbers on at night. I have also experienced the "party central" and agree that the amenities are not Covid safe. General maintenance and upkeep of cleanliness etc of the toilets (and camp kitchen, but I didn't experience it this visit. Did it even have a working microwave this time?) would make people have a better experience and feel cared about. Right now I'm feeling like my survey feedback won't even be read, let alone actioned in any way.…
Been staying here for years but this last stay was unsatisfactory. Fully booked for long weekend and bins were not emptied once. Ammenities cleaned once a day during covid times wasn’t really satisfactory. Site maintenance was non existent with site markers buried under ground or just unable to be found. Office staff apparently to busy that they don’t answer phones anymore even know they were just sitting around chatting. Truely disappointing after having so many positive stays previously!!
A lot of people in the park. The campsites were too dusty and unevenly spots. Not a good experience. Close to grampians and convenient for walkers. The pets can be stressed due the wildlife. Probably for weekdays or not a long weekend could be a good option
Labor Day weekend... There are parties going on all over the park - dozens of the - for the second night running. Large groups of people drinking around fires, laughing, screaming, playing music singing, chanting, grunting. It is now almost 11pm and going strong. Last night went until after midnight. We have people just outside our cabin. This is not, right now, a family park. We are in bed, our kids are in bed, but it is party-central out there. Why is management not managing this? Have camped for years and never experienced this sort of drunken, loud party environment in a caravan park. One more night after this...
