Paid extra for a superior room (close to $300 for 1 night) expecting a better standard of room. Yes the room was bigger and had a small sitting room BUT it was old, tired and not clean! There was wallpaper peeling off the wall, grease and grim around the air conditioner and taps from the 70s! There was a TV in the room with the beds and one in the sitting room - both were ancient, had poor quality signal/picture and remotes that only worked some time! Even the hallways and lifts were worn out and very grimey! Two positives, friendly staff and the view but this would not make me come back again - a definite ‘find something nicer for cheaper’!
Stayed at this hotel for one night as a transit stay. Impressed how clean the hotel was and received a welcome letter at check in. Customer service was really good and had staff to help with baggage. Staff also assisted in arranging transport next day to the airport. The room was clean and comfortable with a nice balcony. I would definitely stay here again and it is also ideal for people transiting in Sydney. Recommended.
Booked 2 rooms here due to a trip to Sydney for mum's cancer treatment. We booked through Bookings.com. The pictures on the Bookings site were obviously of a refurbished room. The rooms we got were very tired, the bed we had was really uncomfortable, there was only one pillow per person (a second square "pillow" was on the bed). The "sitting" room only had one chair. The bath plug hole had sharp edges & the shower did not look clean. We won't stay here again. Also, be wary of what you're booking via Bookings.com
Great location. Short distance from the airport. Staff very friendly & welcoming. Room good size & clean. Nice big driveway entrance off the street so easy to get in/out of taxi/vehicle. Easy walk to local restaurants & beach. Great atmosphere
Stayed here on the night of 26/03/2022. First, check-in is stuck in the 1980s. Credit cards MUST be hard copy only - no mobile apps accepted. Felt guilty I did not have my check book ready (which I had binned 15 years previously). Secondly, DO NOT stay here on a Saturday night. The hotel treats the place like a tacky backpackers hostel. The events room directly faces all sea-view rooms, with a wedding reception playing tunes at full boar for several hours, well into the night. Enquiries about what might be expected at $400+ / night to the front desk staff was met with nothing but a snigger.
