My wife arranged a surprise break at The Ness for my birthday and Wow! am I lucky! Our room (no. 2) was stunning, really spacious with every comfort you could wish for and more, including the most amazing bathtub! The view from the balcony is incredible, I really could have sat there for hours just watching the bay. All of the staff were so friendly and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. If you see this review, please pass on our thanks to them all! We also ate in the restaurant on a couple of evenings and the food was brilliant too (as it was at breakfast) with a varied menu and a great selection of drink options from the bar. Location wise it's spot on. Close enough to walk over the bridge into Teignmouth, with good access from the train station to other towns along the coast, but far enough to be a peaceful place to relax too. Shaldon zoo being a 2 min walk up the road was another bonus. If you're looking for a break in this area, we'd thoroughly recommend staying at The Ness. We'll certainly be coming back!

This is on of if not our favourite places to have Christmas lunch, they are so geared up for the day it’s fantastic. Restaurant is suitably decorated, nice and warm with lovely staff, all tables are individually decorated complete with crackers, candles flickering away, games/ silly gifts for the family’s to entertain each other with, quality of food is excellent and as ordered to perfection. Couldn’t really wish for a better experience, that’s why we keep returning. We’ll done yet again

Truly a gorgeous gem hidden at the end of a winding path Beautiful place for chips and coffee or just drinks or full menu for bigger main meals. Definitely needs MORE options with MORE thought for : vegan, vegetarian and gluten free. Definitely needs ALPRO OAT milk as some people with allergies can not drink soya milk … This is my opinion only…

Booked 3 nights at The Ness after receiving a promotional email from our local Hall & Woodhouse. Chose ‘The Luxury Room’ (room 2) which had the most amazing view from the balcony and honestly the best bathroom!! Comfy bed, lovely decor and an incredible copper bath! Fantastic room!
