Easy to find and a great location with the beach a stones throw away and a pub right next door! Very friendly owners, Lovely rooms and a great breakfast. The level of cleanliness is second to none, absolutely pristine. A real gem of a place and one I am sure we will be visiting again.
We had warm and comfortable accommodation in Smugglers Cottage. The breakfasts were delicious. It is very well located for doing some of the coast path. During our stay I had a problem with my bike and the owners extremely helpful resolving the problem late in the evening and they have my grateful thanks!
What a gem! The Shaldon is a gorgeous Village in Devon and the Potters Mooring a very comfortable family hotel! The staff is always available to help you, a breakfast to die for and the perfect location! What else do we need? Ah! A nice pub next door lol
What a wonderful hotel. Very good covid arrangements including the option of breakfast in our room. We were greeted very well by Bob who explained everything and went the trouble of finding out the local bus times and leaving a note for us on our bedroom door. Never got the chance to thank him. Our room was comfortable and clean with a sea view which was a bonus. Breakfasts were spot on. Well recommended.
We stayed here for 5 days/4 nights. We hadn't stayed here before but this property came highly recommended from our Friends who are frequent visitors. They were not wrong. The welcome was very friendly and they helped us with parking as the car park is a little tight for long vehicles but OK. We were advised of their Covid policy, must wear masks whilst walking inside the property to your room and to breakfast, always sanitise your hands, very clear where you can do this. All very reassuring I must say. We were shown to our Room which was Room 4, very comfortable indeed, the bed was huge they had even put in a small fridge for water and fresh milk. Large bathroom with large shower, everything you could need for your stay. They asked us every day if we needed our room cleaned which we didn't, they always made sure we had enough water and milk. The service was exceptional. Breakfast had lots of choices and the Traditional English Breakfast was huge. Plenty of tea/coffee/juices and cereals, all food served to our table. Potters Moorings is in the centre of the village right next door to the London Inn Pub, no issue with being next door the pub. Overlooking the village green. The main noise was from the local seagulls which really didn't bother us at all. It is approx 5 minutes walk from the Beach, where you can get the Ferry across to Teignmouth. There is a small supermarket, fish and chips, post office within 5 minutes walking distance too. There are some great little gift shops too. Thank you to all who made our stay so wonderful. We would have no hesitation in returning or highly recommending Potters Moorings.…
