There is so much choice of activities to do that you should be able to find things that young children will not be joining in . . .e.g. archery, Yoga, Pilates, Zumba, many racquet sports etc, the list is endless. I think it is a bit like marmite this place, you either love it or hate it - we go twice a year so guess we must love it!! However one time we were next to a whole group of children there for a birthday party treat and our dining experience was a little noisy but they were only having fun. Go and try I'd say - you can surely find places where the kids are not about! Enjoy

Have done the last two years at Ashbury then Manor. We preferred the atmosphere at the Manor which was mainly comprised of family groups whereas Ashbury had a few more larger parties. The amount of facilities, food and entertainments on offer are superb with free wine at the table an liqueurs after. You will certainly not go hungry with a buffet at midnight. We go just as a couple and you do not feel out of place. At Manor it tends to easier to get a snooker table or play 10 pin (even on New Years Eve) The bars at Ashbury always seem much busier and the wait is longer to get served. We will certainly be returning for New Year this year.

Also get the Manor House hotel app it’s really helpful and the week before you go look at activities as it will list the week you are there that way on arrival you can sign up to everything as stuff books up fast
