We were greeted by a polite and welcoming gentleman on reception who was very helpful and informative. We were staying in a safari tent. All very clean on arrival and we were able to go in 45 minutes early. The tent has everything you need. Good non stick pans, really comfy beds and bedding good too . Didn’t use facilities only popped into the shop but has a good choice of everything. Hot tub was checked each morning by a polite man who always spoke. I cannot fault this at all. I can see why some would find it noisy with the bar and fair opposite but this was all closed when we were here so actually all very quiet.would definitely book again for this time of year.

Overall disappointing stay. We have been coming to Dawlish for many years usually staying in the parks in Dawlish Warren but this time we came with our tourer. This is our 5th time touring and in comparison to other sites it was most disappointing. Majority of pitches are on a slope, so extremely hard to get the caravan level. We haven’t struggled in this way on any other campsite. Also site is extremely dangerous for children - residents and employees treat the site like a racetrack. We got beeped off the road once by a resident coming around the blind corner to the exit at speed. Employees in marked vans drive too fast, two of which we noticed texting as they drove past our pitch. Really needs to be policed better - only staff we saw around were those driving fast in vans and reception and in the bar, walking wardens of some description would be be ideal to monitor car speed in my opinion. Showers and toilets were awful, and quite dirty, many toilets blocked and left in a mess. Taps don’t operate unless you physically hold the tap down for water so not sure how you are supposed to properly wash your hands especially in these times?! Quite dated. Play park was a positive for children and entertainment was ok, although we went for the kids to see the ‘raccoon’ mascots but they didn’t turn up, asked the waitress and lady at the door if they were coming on and neither had any clue where they were. Ended up leaving with two disappointed children. Doubtful we will return. We did have a number of neighbouring residents mentioning same concerns as ours.

Restaurant club dirty went for Sunday lunch not been cleaned from the night before outdoor pool not open showers dirty not clean. enough to put myself off touring for life asked to leave earlier but told by manager no refund could be given so having to use it as base. I would expect more from a family run business.

We paid for a super pitch which was a hard standing pitch with water and electric but the pitches were all on a slope that even with blocks was impossible to get even. We had to go and get some more wood from a wood yard to try and level the caravan up but it still was uneven.

Room Tip: The space between the pitches was narrow.
