Friends recommended BBR for a float that wasn’t too far from home. Made reservations couple days before. We arrived at the location and were advised that the drop off point was down the road. Had to wait a few minutes on the bus ride. The driver was very entertaining on the drive to the drop off for the 5 mile float. Float was great. All the employees were friendly and helpful. Will be back. May kayak the next time on the 8 mile trip. If your looking for a 5 star trip this isn’t it. If you just want to get away for a day in the sun and relax this is perfect.

Yes! Found where my husband and son spend deer season! Lots of tent camping sites on the river. Lots of hook ups for your campers. Nice Amish wooden cabins. Great air conditioning. Good rafts. Scenic River. Go visit Barrett!!!! Great cabins, can buy ice and beverages at the location!! Only 6 miles off I-40 westbound at exit 143.

I have gone to this Resort for years. It is primitive camping on the water... There is a bit of a walk to the bath house, but i was not offended by it. The real prize here is the canoeing / kayaking. I have been to almost every spot in the area and come back here every time. At Buffalo Resort, you are bused up river and float down.. So, when you are finished, you are literally at the bank next to your vehicle. Many others do it the opposite way, so when you are finished with a full day on the river, you get stuffed into a bus and ride back to your vehicle. It is reasonably priced, and such a great float! The staff is very friendly, and always accommodating.

Came to this river over 15 years ago as a child, this past weekend I had the privilege to bring my two girls to do the same. They are 8 & 10 and rode in their own canoe by themselves for the last 3 miles of the 5 mile ride. IT WAS PERFECT!!! The staff was amazing and went above and beyond to make our trip happen, thank you all again for a wonderful weekend and we will most definitely be back!!! With all the technology that hinders kids today, seeing my girls work as a team to make sure their boat went straight was worth EVERY second. Thank you again for some great memories!!!

We rented the Sunset Lodge for our group and it was really nice. Very clean and plenty of room for everyone to have their own space and congregate. The porch was really nice and there is a fire pit and chairs for a bon fire.

We floated the river in a larger raft and did the 8 mile float. The bus driver is very entertaining and so much fun. He was very nice and told us jokes. It is a nice weekend getaway just an hour out of Nashville.

We tried to book it again recently but the lodge was already booked. We are going to try for an August weekend float and stay at the Sunset Lodge.

For a group of 12 we were looking for a place to go tubing. Called and spoke to someone at the front desk seem nice. We drove for a little over an hour the day was overcasted and we had two younger children and the 6 older teens. From the time of our arrival they seem very unorganized and not much information given to us. They dropped us off at the river and said jump in and work yourself down. When we asked a question they really couldn't answer. Dont think we will be going back.

First, this is the epitome of bare minimum for mucho cash. To sleep on property it is 8$/person with no promise of an open camp site. To rent a tube it was 17$ per tube. To be taken from the property to the launch site is 21$ per person per trip. Be ready to get nada for a lotta.

Next, the bath house was backed up in the septic region and no one could use the johns. Pile that on top of having no security/no enforcing of social rules/conventions and it was pure Anarchy.

Also, the only person who served as an employee who didn't drive the shuttle was a bitter old woman, PT, who was not friendly and very confrontational with customers. She was the money exchanger, so we had to deal with her multiple times and she was just as crusty and rude each time.

My husband and I come here whenever we kayak the Buffalo. We have camped at their campground and stayed in their cabins. We don't camp very often anymore and on the weekends or holidays its hard to reserve the cabins without making reservations pretty far out. That being said, the camping is right on the river and fantastic if that's your thing. Their bathhouse is very nice. The cabins are beautiful and fully furnished with full kitchens. They are up on a hill but you still have a view of the river. We have our own kayaks and enjoy their shuttle service ( only 12$ per kayak....this is so cheap it's unheard of). They get you in the river promptly and the take out is at their campground. The staff is friendly....some of the other outfitters in the area are notoriously rude. I would highly recommend this establishment .

We drove all the way from Georgia to tube the Buffalo River and chose this company due to their good Facebook reviews. We were very disappointed with the level of customer service and lack of communication between the employees! We were told to drive down by the river, park and wait for someone to pick us up. Well we drive down and were the only ones there for a few minutes. Then a group of 6 come and were picked up before us. We were told by the driver that if we were not picked up by the time he got back, he would get us. Then comes another group of 6 who, again, were picked up before us. We ended up waiting for an hour and then called to the office to ask how much longer it would be. The girl told us the driver would be down soon. Before we called we saw both vans come back from the first trips so we knew they were back. 30 minutes later a large group comes to wait to be picked up and both vans follow them down to pick them up. When the driver saw we were still waiting he was confused and annoyed but never apologized. We then drive to the office to ask for a refund and a kid (make a 10 year old boy) comes out of the office to talk to us and gave us a paper to give the driver. The girl who worked in office was just sitting on the porch smoking and didn't seem to care one bit how inconvenienced we were. I do not recommend this place AT ALL!!

This place was awesome at one time, but the owners changed and everything went to crap. After waiting in a long line we find out they lost our reservation. They didn't really seem to care. This has happened to other people I know as well. After we paid for our canoes , not kayaks like we reserved, we had to wait for over a hour to be picked up and shuttled to our drop off point. Even they guy driving our van was complaining about how unorganized they are. It's really sad that this has happened to such an awesome spot.

Answer from CHG Nashville

They hold 2 adults in a queen bed and there is also a couch. A queen size air mattress would fit on the floor to accommodate 2 extra adults.
