After a very unimpressive welcome from what we found out later to be a fairly recent member of staff on our second visit to this lovely hotel things returned to normal. Every other member of staff was so exceptional . We enjoyed such a peaceful perfect stay. This hotel is second to none and the perfect place for a relaxing stay. We saw red squirrels and the resident seagulls and the food was excellent. Special mention to Luca and Margenna. Can’t wait to return.
We enjoyed our stay very much. The staff were professional and ultra helpful. The grounds including the kitchen garden were an absolute delight. Food was outstanding and the decor muted and luxurious. However our large bedroom 12 had a carpet that was stained in places, the arms of the chairs were worn and the bathroom door was grubby and needed a good clean. Carpets in the public areas also were stained and spotted in several areas. This is a surprising finding in a hotel of this calibre. Apart from these issues our stay in the Longueville Manor was most enjoyable.
We have been visiting Longueville Manor for sixty years - from our honeymoon spent in what was then a three star full-board hotel to what it is now - 5stars plus, Relais membership and an acclaimed restaurant and wine cellar in their own right. Last week we were back there for our tenth stay, celebrating our diamond wedding anniversary and, as always, the hotel was faultless. One of the things that Longueville Manor gets right is attention to detail, from decor to furniture and fittings, the smooth service from the friendly and attentive - but never intrusive - staff and the very stylish setting. Food is outstanding; a carefully sculpted menu using local produce and every dish we tried cooked to perfection. Our sommelier, too, was very knowledgeable and we were pleased we followed his advice on wines. Longueville Manor well deserves its reputation as the best hotel in the Channel Islands. We will be back - yet again.…
Hard to fault - went with our 2 teenage children and the 2 rooms were fabulous . Never slept so well. Our deluxe room was so luxurious and the bathroom was 5 star. The staff were all so welcoming and the breakfasts on our 4 day stay were superb. The only downside was the weight gain ! Our evening meal in the main restaurant was sublime - the sommelier even decanted our red wine. Thank you Longuevuille Manor - a wonderful holiday.
This is our favourite Jersey Hotel and have been regular visitors. It never disappoints. Excellent service but totally relaxed. Nothing is too much trouble. It is extremely comfortable but perhaps there is a need for a sympathetic update to the decor which is beginning to look a little tired and if these very hot summers persist air conditioning might be essential even if it would be a difficult task. We will definitely be back!
My wife and I stayed at this hotel for one week, departing on the 2nd August We were allocated Room 29, the room could well be classed as the room from hell The room was unbearably hot, yes we had some hot weather, but this level of heat was unacceptable, compounded by NO AIR CONDITIONING.... We had all windows fully open day and night, we had a hotel providing fan on continuously The room was just as hot during the night, something very wrong here... There was a noise that continued throughout our stay, we wondered if this was from a boiler, we were situated above the kitchen, could this have been the culprit ! The heat in Room 29 affected our sleep and there is nothing worse With having the windows open, this compounded the road noise, which can be substantial, even with a room facing the back of the hotel This is not a cheap hotel and at £500.00 per night, you should at least be provided with a room which allows you to be comfortable All other aspects of the hotel were acceptable, food was excellent, staff great Sadly, we will not return We made our feelings known upon departure, without any apologies, just not good enough for a so called five star property, stay away ! Should you not heed my advice then watch out Do not stay in Room 29, named Uncle Walter My recommendation would be to stay elsewhere and visit this hotel for an evening meal Ends:…
One of the best week's breaks ever and Longueville was such an amazing place to hang out. Beautiful setting, very comfortable rooms, fab food and wine. The staff are BRILLIANT - super friendly and super professional.
This is a beautiful manor house made into a small boutique hotel. The grounds have acres of land with their own garden and orchard. Lots of walking trails and wonderful customer service. The dinner we enjoyed in their restaurant was delicious and breakfast in the mornings relaxing. Everyone working at the manor was so nice, we could find nothing to not delight us!!!! Thank you all!🤗
Just returned from an amazing week in Longueville, wonderful staff, delicious food and clean, comfortable rooms. We had glorious weather every day, sat by the beautiful pool enjoying the sun. We could not have asked for anything better
Stayed here for 4 nights during a recent trip home to attend a wedding. A delightful first floor room to the back of the property, overlooking the gardens and pool. Very clean and well presented. Large, comfortable bed. Complimentary fruit bowl uon arrival, tea and coffee making facilities and lovely home made Italian macaroons. Regular bottled water supplied. Breakfast was delicious. The quality of produce is clearly evident. An array of choice all served to order and brought to the table. The home made granola was particularly delicious (recipe please). We dined once in the hotel on our first night and since it was going to be a foodie weekend, decided to have casual dining in the lounge. There, we ordered (so we were told by the waitress) the best hamburger on the Island. She was not kidding. Simply delicious and the chips were to die for. Beautifully crisp on the outside, light and fluffy on the inside. Perfection. We also had a few award winning signature cocktails made and created by the cocktail waiter. Worth every penny. We both had facials on the morning of the wedding. The small spa was simply and beautifully appointed with friendly, courteous staff. Overall the stay was perfect. Staff were professional and courteous without being stuffy. Made our stay very relaxing. The hotel is old country charm in style and lends itself perfectly to the space. A varied demographic of clientel, various ages and nationality. Would highly recommend Longueville Manor if this is your style of hotel. With only 30 rooms, this reflects in the peacefullness of the property and the gentle behavour of the clientel.…
