A superb, friendly, family-run hotel, established over 35 years, extremely comfortable and suitable for both holidaymakers and business visits. The hotel has an ideal location, just opposite Howard Davis Park, and just 2 minutes walk from the town centre. All rooms have private shower & WC (some with bath and shower). They are also very tastefully styled, and feature: Colour Television (Satellite & 4 English Channels), Direct-dial telephone, Tea/coffee making, hairdryers, radio, alarm clock, and an efficiency

I cannot recommend this hotel enough. I arrived very early and despite the hotel being completely full, the couple who run it accommodated an early check in for me. I was visiting for a wedding at the same time as the flower event, so cabs were scarce, but they made sure to organize one for me anyway even though I asked last minute. When I walked in, it felt like walking into your grandparents’ home; it was warm, welcoming and decorated very tastefully in an old fashioned way which makes it extremely cozy. My room had a 60s feel which I loved, and the bed was super comfy. Everything extremely clean. I overslept the next morning and missed the breakfast service, and without even asking they offered to bring me my own breakfast tray in the lobby instead. The food and drinks were excellent. I was made to feel like family here and though I loved Jersey, even if I didn’t I would come back just to stay at this hotel. Excellent value - I will be back with my boyfriend! Do yourself a favour and stay here if you visit Jersey.

We came to this hotel twice. Each time we received an excellent welcome from the owners. They are charming, attentive, full of good advice. The breakfasts are a delight served by very pleasant staff. Another positive point: the wifi works perfectly. We recommend this hotel where we will return with pleasure.

This hotel was superb. The owners take so much pride in the hotel and go out of their way to look after all their guests. All the staff were happy, helpful and ensured that things ran smoothly for us. Rooms were cleaned daily and linen replaced. The breakfast was one of the best I have ever had at a hotel, ham and/or cheese and/or fruit platters along with croissants, Jersey yoghurt and cereal. Take some time to enjoy a few drinks in the bar with Phil and the Rolling Stones. This is old fashioned service at its best and I am sure you will agree that the bigger named hotel chains can’t compete. A fantastic stay; thanks Christine and Phil.

I am going to write quite a long review about the Mornington hotel in St. Helier, jersey. That is because we found the hotel absolutely outstanding when we stayed for four nights in June 2022 Location: The hotel is located just opposite the entrance of the rather lovely Howard Davis park (do go and look at the War Graves there!). There is parking for a handful of small cars at the back of the hotel and once you have navigated the complicated one-way systems I'm sure there would be other on road parking opportunities as well. Best of all, for me, the hotel is a 5 minute walk from the Havre Des Pas marine swimming pool which is open 24 hours a day and made a super daily early morning outing! Décor: The hotel is spotlessly clean, but the decor is rather dated. Dark coloured walls, plenty of trinkets and ornaments, and rooms with avocado coloured bathroom suites! None of this matters because the establishment is extremely well looked after. It has its own lounge, it's own bar and a very attractive breakfast room as well. Breakfast: It is unusual in a hotel like this to be offered such a healthy and fantastic breakfast. Gone are the bacon and eggs, instead replaced with warm croissant's, fruit platters, cheese and ham platters, fresh yoghurt, brown or white toast and more besides. We loved the large breakfasts at the hotel and the cheerful upbeat service from the friendly waitresses. Bedroom: We stayed in room #16. It was a twin-bedded room with a separate bathroom with a bath toilet and shower. Unlike many hotel rooms which are cramped this one was small but adequate. There was a desk for working, a wardrobe for hanging clothes with many hangars, a television screen, a hair dryer and everything else you would expect. The Wi-Fi was strong and excellent. The room was serviced every day and there were, of course, tea and coffee making facilities too. Welcome: I stay in hotels all over the world and the thing that makes the difference is the warmth and personal nature of the welcome. Here, the Mornington hotel knocks the ball out of the park! Christina, one of the owners of the hotel could not have been more friendly, or helpful or personal. Her husband was exactly the same. They gave advice on car parking, places to go, beaches to visit and indeed everything you may want. Incidentally the hotel is within excellent and easy walking distance of everything you would want to do in Saint Helier. Contrast: During a business trip to St. Helier I stayed two nights in the Premier Inn and paid more than I did at the Mornington Hotel. No breakfast was provided, the rooms were not serviced, and there was no warm welcome. I'll be staying at the Mornington again in the future - whether for business or pleasure.

This hotel a little dated but that is the only thing bad about it I can say, it was near of season and see plans to update many of the bathrooms. The staff were great and very helpful, continental breakfast was amazing fresh and loads of, also hotel has own bar if want quiet drink before bed. Close to town centre and many great restaurants, one of which is in lovely park across street and corner shop next door to hotel. One cleanest hotels been in and had very friendly feel, many bus routes drop off near hotel coming back into town, definitely come back.

Just what we hoped for and more on our girlfriends weekend away - the hotel is very nice and the bar is great but it is the proprietors who make the place. Christine and Phil strike exactly the right note of friendliness without being obtrusive. Nothing is too much trouble. Thank your for making our weekend so special.

Having read lots of reviews this hotel sounded ideal for our first visit to Jersey - ideal location, friendly staff and good breakfasts. It certainly lived up to expectations! Full marks to owners Christina and Phil and waitress Annabella for making it a memorable stay. We would have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone thinking of visiting this lovely island!

This is one of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed in. The proprietors Christine and Phil were so lovely. We felt very looked after. Incredible value and great service. I have stayed in 5 star hotels all over the world but never have I had such personal and attentive service combined with an incredible price. I would highly recommend. Thank you for making our stay in Jersey a memorable experience. The bar is something else.

The whole atmosphere here is great, All staff and owners are very friendly and helpful. We were a group of 5 adults and not one of us had anything to moan about. The location is great with a 5 min walk to the beach and a 20 minute walk into town. Plus plenty of bus stops nearby if needed. At the hotel the breakfast is not to be missed, the croissants are freshly baked every morning. and they have a great cheese and ham platter, a fruit platter although there is also a "combo" which includes fresh exotic fruits, yoghurts, cereals, toast etc. The waitress is very helpful and looks after everyone with a lot of care (like all the staff). The bedrooms are comfortable, and like all the hotel spotlessly clean. Can be a bit noisy if facing the main road. Plus the bar is great (if you like the Rolling Stones) full of photo's of the group, that's (to me) made it great. Nice choice of bottled or tin beers, nothing on tap. I would defiantly be returning next year and recommend this hotel to my friends. My room faced the main road and it can get noisy with the traffic, especially when people start commuting to work.
