We have never stayed here before and only chose it as not a lot left as was a bit of last minute holiday . We weren’t disappointed, went on the hottest day of the year and we had a sea view . Room was comfy and had everything you need for a small break . It was spotless and the maid was in everyday . Does need a little updating but we only used it to sleep in .

Hotel is right on a beach with gorgeous views and only 10 minutes walk from the town. Staff very friendly, helpful and polite. Basic but clean rooms, reflected in the price, everything worked. Sat down outside and tried to order food on a Saturday at 3 pm and we were told ‘no food’, as were another couple, which was confusing and disappointing as the bill board right beside us said ‘food served all day’. Waiter said to come back at 5 pm, but we went into town and got something. On Sunday evening we thought we would eat in the restaurant and checked the information book in the room which said food was served until 8 pm. So 6:45 pm we sat down and ordered a drink. At 7:15 pm we asked to order food and we’re told that they stopped serving at 6:30 pm. We found this a bit strange and disappointing that a hotel restaurant would stop serving at this time. We stayed on a B&B basis and managed to get their breakfasts ok which were actually pretty amazing. We would stay here again as the location and views are excellent and price for the stay was good value for money.

The hotel was really nice. The rooms were always really nice and clean with decent amenities. The food was superb and the service was really good, Roy in particular was very nice. We weren’t sure how long we needed to stay for for personal reasons and the hotel was really understanding with helping us stay for longer if needed getting us into different rooms when we needed. The location is really nice. Right on the beach with amazing views, the area is quiet with a bus stop right outside to get into town, or town is about a 10/15 minute walk away. Overall the price was good for what it was and would definitely recommend.

We spent four lovely nights in this hotel. Great value, fab breakfasts with plenty of choice and a really nice evening menu. The hotel is on the promenade just out of St Hellier with great views across the beach. Staff were friendly and Always helpful. Our room, though small, was very comfortable. We loved Jersey and when we return we will definitely book the Marina Metro Hotel. Very recommended

Stayed here last week. Excellent from the minute we arrived to a warm welcome from Carolyn and Geoff right through until we checked out. All staff are so attentive and friendly taking time to have a chat but this did not interfere with their professional service. Food is excellent and rooms are very comfortable. Location is great for getting around Jersey and also for just sitting along the sea. Thankyou to everyone for a very enjoyable stay. Definitely will stay in Marina Metro next time.

My friend and I have just returned today from the Marina Metro Hotel we have stayed a few times over the last few years apart from pandemic (2 years) the prices have nearly doubled in that short time but accommodation the same our shower was not working no main light in the room £7.20 for a glass of wine no one said £19.50 for a bottle of house wine this is a 3 star hotel and I think £900 pounds for a twin room is far too high will not be going back again but have to say staff so friendly and helpful but like everywhere felt ripped off

Response from geoff mayger, Owner at Marina Metro Hotel
Responded 3 weeks ago
Hi Lesley. So sorry to hear you and Maxine will not be coming back as you feel you were being ripped off which i assure you is not the case. Despite being a 3 star hotel we have public bars licences so we effectively charge pub prices, which is a lot less than some hotels charge, £9 to £12 is not uncommon. With regard to room rates you need to understand that Covid almost put the business under as we are tenants not owners and without the subsidies from the Government and some help from our landlord this would have been the outcome. Our old lease has also expired so the landlord has upped the rent substantially to recover the subsidy he gave us and to reflect the return he wants from his property. Having said all this our rates are in the middle for a 3 star hotel and we also gave you a discount as regular customers. I do not recall you telling me about the maintenance issues with your room, if you had done i would have done my best to sort things out. Please think again about next year, before you do something silly and end up in a hotel away from the sea with no view, no late bar, no entertainment and no ME! LOL. Geoff

A great hotel for quick stay in Jersey. The staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant was clean and food was great...as was the view! The manager went out of his way to assist me when I mistakenly booked for 2023!!! We will be back!! Thx G!

Just returned from a 3 night break at this great little hotel. As other reviews have said the furniture was a little bit dated but the rooms were clean and the beds were very comfortable. The staff are so helpful and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is set outside the main hustle and bustle of St Helier but it is in easy walking distance. We loved the breakfast overlooking the sea. Would we return? Yes we would!
